Assignment:::::
Continuing with the situation you were given in Week 7, you and your administrative employee have worked feverishly on your Affirmative Action Plan for the past two weeks. You think you are caught up, and ready for an audit. Now you can turn your attention to your next big issue, which is addressing your need for more employees. Your business is forecasted to increase in demand, and you will need to hire 30 more employees.
You put an advertisement in the main metropolitan newspaper for these employees 3 weeks ago. The advertisement required applicants to be able to sit for several hours per day, and be bilingual. You have had 40 applicants for these 30 positions. The 30 people that were offered employment were all white males. The racial and ethnic designations of the 40 applicants show the following:
• 34 of the applicants were white males
• 2 of the applicants were black males
• 2 of the applicants were Hispanic males
• 2 of the applicants were unidentified
At this time, the 30 applicants that were offered employment have not yet taken the tests to verify that they are bilingual. You must now decide what to do.
To begin your work on this situation, you decide to formulate your thoughts using the IRAC Method.
