Design or plan an exercise program for the following scenario and show progressions of rehabilitation exercises for the four phases of recovery : 4 phases are as follows :
Phase 1 Controlling Inflammation ○ while modalities would be used in this phase, focus also on exercises used
● Phase 2 Restoration of Motion
● Phase 3 Developing Strength, Endurance, and Power
● Phase 4 Return to Sport Activity
and scenario is : A diver landed poorly in a dive during practice four days ago and has had a stiff neck since the morning after that time. This morning she awoke and could not turn her head to the left. She presents to you with her head laterally flexed about 20 degrees to the right and is unable to look straight ahead. Her head is rotated to the right about 15 degrees. It is painful for her to attempt to place her head in an upright and straight position, but she has no difficulty turning her head all the way to the right and looking over her right shoulder. Your palpation reveals tenderness over the C5 and C6 spinous processes suggesting a vertebral facet joint dysfunction. There is some tightness in the muscles in the same area. Should this individual be permitted to practice with or without restrictions?
