The second involves any composer in the Romantic or Twentieth-Century (beyond Beethoven). Your paper requires a Works Cited list using either the MLA or APA format. Please see the Paper Guidelines document under IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS: Paper Guidelines/ Assignment Writing The Review.

There are four areas that you must include in the paper:

Composers life
Composers style what did he write? Symphonies, Oratorios, Operas. You may wish to discuss aesthetic purposes of the composers writing style or philosophies and how they are reflected in the music he or she wrote.
Discuss a specific composition the composer wrote. You should choose one from your book.
Your response should include a discussion of this composers contribution to the history of music and/or the composition your previously discussed under item #3
