Describe and analyse marketing activities associated with the launch of an improved product or
service
-> It needs to be an existing product/service in an existing company (my opinion is that it can be
improved into perhaps a more eco-friendly product/service, since sustainability is quite popular
nowadays – not necessary; it’s just my opinion).
-> The essay needs to show that I have accessed good quality secondary research information on my
market and product (e.g. Mintel) and that I have used the ideas about marketing from the unit (from
the 8 lecture powerpoints I have uploaded).
VERY IMPORTANT:
1. A very detailed analysis on how to structure the essay and what to mention can be found in the
“Assessment Brief” and “Assignment Brief” files that I have uploaded.
2. I have also uploaded an “Essay Q&A” where the lecturer has answered important questions about
the essay.
3. I have uploaded the 8 lecture powerpoints. Each section of the essay relates to a lecture: it is
expected to see the concepts, models and theories from each lecture applied to the product/service to
justify the decisions made for the marketing plan that is being produced.
