Yes or no, are ESG metrics philosophically and politically neutral? Do they correspond to all of the principles of Catholic Social Teaching?

The topic of this research paper is: Environmental, Social, and Governance ratings. This is a controversial political, social, and religious issue, but for the purpose of this paper I would like to analyze as a business issue.
This is a controversial issue because it gets at who we are as people and what human flourishing look like. One can really only answer these questions if one has an idea about human nature and a developed robust Anthropology. ESG ratings claim to be neutral and support obvious goals for society.

Part 1. Yes or no, are ESG metrics philosophically and politically neutral? Do they correspond to all of the principles of Catholic Social Teaching?
Your paper must analyze the precise ESG metrics.
You will need to consider the various principles of Catholic Social Teaching and evaluate which you think best help(s) to answer this problem. (You may also include why you think any other approach outlined in the textbook that would be helpful).
How would a more robust vision of ESG change in light of the principles of CST?
Part 2 – Practical Problem: One of the parts of ESG is to develop a strong understanding of who stakeholders are – this includes workers, communities, customers, the environment, as well as shareholders.
One defense of the Twitter Board of Directors decision to rebuff the hostile takeover by Elon Musk has been made in light of an ESG compatible vision of stakeholders. Namely, that it would be irresponsible to the community (of the world?) as a whole to allow the free speech that Musk has touted. Moreover, such a shift in philosophy supported by Musk would negatively impact workers at Twitter who are distressed at the social/political positions that Musk allegedly advocates.  So, the argument goes, despite an obviously robust evaluation of the company that would serve the shareholders well, the Board is in fact acting more responsibly by thwarting Musk and putting limitations on the amount of stock one person can own.
Do you think this is a legitimate application of ESG by Twitter?
