Assessment:
2000 word coursework assessment addressing ONE of the case studies (see below). In your answer you must:
- Explain the individual’s addictive behaviour with reference to relevant addiction theories and research (50%
of the submission)
and then, - Critically discuss at least TWO appropriate treatments/interventions, with reference to relevant evidence to
justify the appropriateness of your choice treatments/interventions for that particular addiction (50% of the
submission).

Other Guidance Notes:
• Structure: there is no set structure for this piece of work but please ensure you address the 2 parts equally. Use
sub-headings if this helps you structure your work.
• Word length: 2000 (+/- 10%) excluding reference list
• Writing style: academic/scientific style is the required standard. Whilst you can use first person narrative your
arguments need to be supported by academic sources and evidence.
• References: please reference all your assertions and evidence, and include a full APA reference list (not
