Students will produce an individual essay offering a critical discussion of identity formation, disruption and adaption and the favourable environment. In doing so, students will explore how the Montessori approach underpins children’s personal social and emotional development. The essay will have 2000 words attached to it

Based on the aiming high table, can you identify what you need to include in your essay?
• Students demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of historical theories of identity
• Students draw upon a large range of appropriate academic literature to analyse and make
judgements about the relationship between capital, structure, and agency in identity formation
• The use of identity in the classroom is examined in-depth, drawing upon a range of appropriate literature
• Students demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the relationships between disruption and adaptation of identity and its application in children’s learning
