For this project, you may choose either Case Study 13 ‘ Bad Image Radiology Department ‘or Case Study 11  ‘Western Healthcare Systems: A Healthcare Delivery Continuum’, in the Cases In Health Services Management 6th ed. text as your focus for this assignment.

In a 4-5-page paper, complete the following based on your case study.  Be creative, as you may not have all the facts needed in your case study to provide complete, quality responses.  Your responses should reflect critical thinking, sound ethical judgment, and be realistic.

· Using basic legal terminology where appropriate, evaluate the impact of ethical and moral principles on clinical-decision making, including bioethics and medical decisions as appropriate, in this case study.

· Compare and contrast professional codes of ethics and their relationship to the personal integrity of those involved in the case study.

· Examine the corporate ethics as related to governance, distribution of power, medical staff and physician relations and the structural design of the case study healthcare organizations.

As related to the case study, evaluate current responsibilities regarding legal status of corporate structure, governance as applied to for-profit and non-profit status, and the responsibilities regarding board and committee recruitment, selection, and the ethics of paid and unpaid board membership.
