How did the 19th Amendment advance the equality of women in the eyes their supporters?

After reading Elaine Weiss’  The Woman’s Hour:  The Great Fight to Win the Vote, please answer, in a minimum of 200 words total, the following questions; students have nearly 12 days to complete this discussion since it is based upon a book:

1) Why did some women advocate for women’s being granted the right to vote, why other women opposed this right?  In doing so, students must refer to the cultural and the political reasons for supporting women’s right to vote and allude to the cultural, political, and racial reasons for opposing women’s right to vote;

2) Why did some men advocate for women’s being granted the right to vote, why other men opposed this right? In doing so, students must refer to the cultural and the political reasons for some men’s supporting women’s right to vote and allude to the cultural, political, and racial reasons for other men’s opposing women’s right to vote;
