Question 1Oxidizers are chemicals that are commonly used in residential homes, both indoors and outdoors. They have a variety of uses such as cleaning, disinfecting, and preparing food. Although they are useful, they must be stored or used properly to avoid the potential for hazardous interactions with other chemicals. Share with other students at least two oxidizers that you have in your home and their uses. Has this class made you rethink how you use or store household oxidizers?Question 2There are numerous models for assessing toxicity. Each model has pros and cons. The most highly debated model is the animal model; however, advances in technology are moving research toward utilizing in vitro testing, computer simulations, or other methods to analyze and predict toxic effects. Identify an assessment method that you believe could be the most promising technique outside of animal testing to effectively analyze toxicity of a chemical.
