A Capstone Project requires students to integrate knowledge acquired over the course of this class. Your project will be to respond to the following prompts with things that you have learned through your study of our Text Book, lectures and other readings and discussionsYour project should be constructed from viewpoint of an enterprise that you know. Maybe it?s an enterprise that you have worked for, or been a customer of, or possibly an organization with which you are very familiar.Module 1 ? Creating Value ? What is the value proposition that this organization seeks to bring to it?s customers. Can you identify the overall strategy of this organization? How do the subjects of Compliance/Sustainability, Safety, Employee Engagement, Globalization and IT integration play into this organizations strategy?Module 2 ? Forecasting and Planning ? Assume you are an operations analyst for this organization and have been tasked with developing an annual strategic plan, along with both Sales and Demand Forecasts. Where would you begin, and what processes will you follow to achieve your goal?Module 3 – Set up Operations ? What considerations are there for setting up a new operation for this enterprise? What are your capital, process layout and capacity needs. How will you meet them? What strategies will you employ?Module 4 ? Manage Operations ? Your focus as an Operations or Supply Chain manager is to ?create value?. How will you do this for this organization? Describe the actions and expected outcomes from these value added process changes. How will you know if your selected actions represent an improvement?Module 5 ? Managing Supply Chain ? As you consider the actions employed previously, how will you tie your supply chain into those value added process changes. What supply related actions will you be considering? What actions will you employ to improve your supply chain performance?Modules 6 7 – Introduction to Analytics and Regression Analysis – Do research on the enterprise you are going to write about. Find out if there is publically available data. If not, describe the data you would like to use, and how to implement that data into driving your Operational decisions.
