Atman & Brahman Questions
Each journal has 2-6 questions. Each answer can be 2-3 lines or so as needed, but I need an A grade. I am typing below one journal where I got 100% score:Part A:1. What is the relationship between Atman & Brahman? 2. Explain pantheism. 3. Does Hinduism center around the goal of developing morality? Why or why not? 4. What do Krishna and Radha symbolize?Part B:1. Please select two tracks from the meditation CDs you purchased (link on syllabus) and meditate on TWO different occasions. Describe your experiences… how they were alike or different… what kinds of challenges you may have had… what kinds of benefits you may have experienced, etc. My answers:1. Atman and Brahman are one in each other. This means that everyone is Brahman and everyone is in the same divine reality, and their soul is Atman. They are one, without Brahman, you would not have Atman.2. Pantheism is a Western word that pretty much means everything is part of god. Everything in our world, when it comes to people, nature, animals, etc are all gods. Everybody has that spark in them.3. Yes this is true. A person’s morals and values are one of the most valued things in the Hindu religion. Hinduism emphasizes on who you are on the inside rather than out, and always try to do the right thing morally.4. Radha represents your soul and who you are deep inside, and it seems like Krishna symbolizes love and the good of the world.5. After explaining to my family why I was meditating and the benefits of it because it seemed like they have never seen someone meditate before I meditated twice today, morning and night. The first one was pretty nice because it relaxed me before school. The first twenty seconds are the hardest part for me since I have to transition to a meditative state. The second one was a little different cause it felt like I went straight into it. They both definitely benefitted my day.
