How many receptors have been found for opioids? What are their names?
Topic: Opioid Receptors ? Signaling against pain always with pleasure?
This week you learned about the concept of receptors, GTP-binding proteins and different signal transduction pathways operating in cells. As you work on this week’s discussion board assignment, consider the following. Chronic pain is one of the most common reasons adults seek medical care. The condition has been linked to restrictions in mobility and daily activities, anxiety and depression and often to dependence on opioids. According to a 2016 CDC analysis of National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) data, an estimated 20.4% (50.0 million) of U.S. adults had chronic pain and 8.0% of U.S. adults (19.6 million) had high-impact chronic pain. Opioid-based medications have been used by man as an analgesic and euphoric for over 5000 years of which morphine is the most widely known and used. Morphine and the other opioids codeine, papaverine and thebaine are extracted from the poppy plant Papaver somniferum. All four natural opioids bind to different opioid receptors which are distributed throughout the central nervous system and also within peripheral tissue of neural and non-neural origin. All opioids (natural or synthetic) used in clinical practice today to reduce pain exert their action at the MOP receptor. However, some have additional activities most namely reduction in conscious level and euphoria, making them drugs of abuse.
This week I want you to read the following scientific review article (Pathan H. & Williams J. Basic opioid pharmacology: an update. Br. J. Pain 6(1): 11-16 (2012) and do some research on NCBI PubMed (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/) on this week’s topic and discuss the following aspects with your class mates:
How many receptors have been found for opioids? What are their names?
How do those opioid receptors differ? Which components do they share?
What is known about the intracellular signaling pathways of those opioid receptors?
In which way might increased knowledge about the intracellular signaling components of the opioid receptor help to develop new generations of analgesics without addictive properties?

outline specifically what is your target population and your accessible population? Explain the difference between an accessible and a target population
Step 1 Using your PICO question:
1. outline specifically what is your target population and your accessible population? Explain the difference between an accessible and a target population
2. Explain the difference between an accessible and a target population.
(You may create another PICO question if you what to change what you previously wrote, but answer the same sample question.
Step 2 Read and respond to two other students’ posts
Read other students’ posts and respond to at least two of them. Use your personal experience, if it’s relevant, to support or debate other students’ posts. If differences of opinion occur, debate the issues professionally and provide examples to support your opinions.

Discusion #1:
PICO Question:
In patients with cardiovascular diseases (P), does regular exercise (I) compared to standard medication ( C), lead to better cardiovascular status (O)?
Target population:
The target population is a patient with cardiovascular disease. This is the group of individuals for whom the research question is designed, and the results are intended to provide insights into the effects of regular exercise on cardiovascular status in this specific population.
Accessible Population:
The accessible population is defined as patients with cardiovascular disease who are currently receiving treatment at a specific hospital. This group represents the subset of the target population that is partially available and willing to participate in the study.
In this study, the accessible population comprises patients with cardiovascular who are actively receiving medical care at the designated hospital. Data will be collected from this accessible population to address the research question about the impact of regular exercise compared to standard medication on cardiovascular status in this specific group of patients.

Discussion #2
In a population specific to mental health illness, are young adults using substances recreationally to mask symptoms of mental health illness in comparisons to those who seek mental health treatment because of the stigma associated to seeking mental health treatment.
Target population
My target population will be young adults between the ages of 12-17.
Difference between an accessible and a target population
According to American Psychological Association (2020), The population criteria establish the target populationthat is, the entire set of cases about which the researcher would like to make generalizations. The population criteria determined to the target population reflects on what the researcher wants to learn about. Due to limitations in time, money, and personnel, it is frequently impractical to conduct a study with the intended population. Instead, a different population that meets the same requirements and is easily accessible is used. In order to relieve the barrier of obtaining parental consents and the time it will take to obtain those consents, I can direct my target population to young adults ages 18-25 that use substances recreationally to mask symptoms of mental health illness in comparisons to those who seek mental health treatment because of the stigma associated to seeking mental health treatment.

Your project sponsor and customer are impressed with your project schedule for your Home Office Renovation , but due to some factors out of their control, you’ve been told to deliver your project early, roughly 15% earlier than anticipated. Using the information from the readings, explain how you would go about assessing the possibility of delivering your project early. How will that affect scope, costs, and schedule?

Within the medical profession some have questioned whether individuals should be paid to donate and whether this might, with appropriate regulations, lead to greater pools for donated organs and the reduction of wait times in needed areas. The challenge then is to determine some of the ethical perspectives around this issue. Discuss both the pros and cons of pay-for-parts
Week 8 Case Analysis (MKT6250 Healthcare Marketing)
Due Friday by 11:59pm
9781284200171_CASE_Should There Be the Marketing of Body Parts.pdf
Read the attached case, the textbook chapters, and watch the videos to be able to analyze the case.
The issue presented in this case is a serious and difficult issue from a religious, moral and health care perspective. There are significant wait times for organs in several important areas to maintain bodily functions for people in the U.S. In addition to the established procedures that have been used to harvest organs, sadly there has been a black market that has also occurred for organ harvesting. Within the medical profession some have questioned whether individuals should be paid to donate and whether this might, with appropriate regulations, lead to greater pools for donated organs and the reduction of wait times in needed areas. The challenge then is to determine some of the ethical perspectives around this issue.
Discuss both the pros and cons of “pay-for-parts”.

discussion post 2
This week we saw some examples of geoglyphs in South America, such as the Nazca lines in modern-day Peru. For this week’s discussion board, please find and post an image of a geoglyph that you think is especially interesting.
Post an image of a geoglyph (either from the readings, powerpoint, etc.)
Where is the geoglyph you chose located, and what type of image is represented?
If you were to create a geoglyph here in Illinois, what kind of shape or form would you create to represent your society and culture today (and why)?
Your post should be roughly 200 words in length. I attached the powerpoint.

short responce
We have been discussing the issue of cultural patrimony (https://www.khanacademy.org/humanities/special-topics-art-history/arches-at-risk-cultural-heritage-education-series/trafficking-protection/a/elgin-marbles-debate) as it relates to the African artworks that were stolen/looted during European colonialist expeditions. But how has this played out in regards to Mesoamerican art? In 2020, for example, the Mexican government requested that the Vatican Library temporarily return several Pre-Columbian illuminated manuscripts to mark the painful 500th anniversary of Spain’s conquest of the Aztec Empire — what’s more, they asked for an apology from the Catholic Church “that never again will disrespectful acts be committed against their beliefs and cultures.? read https://hyperallergic.com/598115/mexico-asks-vatican-for-temporary-return-of-ancient-indigenous-manuscripts/, then answer the questions below:
Do you think this could “set a precedent” for other artifacts to be returned to their country of origin, or for similar kinds of attempts for reconciliation? Should it set a precedent, in your opinion?
What kinds of considerations do you think should be taken into consideration when it comes to deciding whether to return artifacts to their country of origin? You may bring up relevant examples from the discussion of African art last week.
Your response should be 300-400 words in length.
Do NOT conduct outside research, do not copy/paste text from an online source, do not use A.I. to generate a response…your answer should come from your own observations and/or the assigned readings/videos, the powerpoint, etc. Cases of suspected plagiarism will be addressed by the instructor.
