Economics of the global management db unit 1
Description
Graduate Programs Discussion Boards
Discussion Boards (DB) are a key component of online learning. They foster active participation of learners and dialogue with fellow learners and instructors. Graduate-level courses require learners to create original posts to course DBs and to engage in dialogue by responding to posts created by others throughout the course. Original posts and responses should be substantive, and if references are made to the works of others, APA guidelines for in-text citations and references apply.
Minimum Weekly DB Expectations
Post an original and thoughtful Main Post to the DB prompt.
Respond to at least 2 other posts from learners and/or the instructor (Response Posts).
The first contribution (Main Post or Response Post) must be posted before midnight (Central time) on Friday of each week.
Two additional responses are required after Friday of each week.
For DB assignment prompts with a Part One and Part Two, Part One should be addressed in the first week of the unit with a Main Post and minimum of 2 Response Posts, and Part Two should be addressed in the second week of the unit with a Main Post and a minimum of 2 Response Posts.
More on DBs
At the end of each unit, DB participation is assessed based on level of engagement and the quality of the contribution to the discussion. DBs allow learners to learn through sharing ideas and experiences as they relate to course content. Because it is not possible to engage in two-way dialogue after a conversation has ended, no posts to the DB are accepted after the end of the unit. Learners must demonstrate an appropriate depth of understanding of course content to receive credit for having submitted substantive posts. Typically, this is achieved with 3?4 strong paragraphs for Main Posts and 2?3 strong paragraphs for Response Posts.
Examination of Course Objectives
Review the Course Objectives, accessed by clicking on the Syllabus link in the left navigation menu beneath the course code. If closed, the left-hand navigation menu can be accessed by clicking on the upper-left corner navigation menu.
How will accomplishing these objectives support your success in management? What risks or challenges might a manager encounter if he or she has not mastered these objectives? Explain.
Renewable Solar Energy for Homes Research Paper
The topic of the research paper must be about renewable solar energy for homes and it must be written from a Christian perspective. The thesis statement must include the problem, possible approaches or solutions, and the writer?s proposed approach must be expressed in this statement. I would like the thesis statement to be based on the following: eliminating our usage of fossil fuels to generate energy by implementing and utilizing renewable solar energy that provides energy (free-of-charge) to anyone having the necessary equipment to capture it?thus reducing the need of electric public utility companies and creating incentives for people everywhere to stop using them (both the public utility companies and the fossil fuels which pollute and contaminate our environment). The research paper should analyze the data gathered from various sources and reach a conclusion on an issue or problem that has been raised in the thesis statement. I want the conclusion of the research paper to mention that solar energy is the best of all the renewables since every single person on this planet having sunlight, in every climate, location, etc. is able to capture and utilize it using solar panels, an inverter, and store the energy using batteries. With this energy at hand, people are able to charge their electric cars, power their homes, etc. and in some countries they are even able to sell excess energy/feed it back into the national power grid. I also want the conclusion to mention that as stewards of God?s creation, we need to care for and protect the environment with which we have been entrusted and make the first step in ensuring that our planet will be environmentally clean for us and future generations. Please also do mention the recent advancements in solar panel technology and the types that are currently available. The audience of the research paper should be that of the average person, so everything must be written in an understandable manner, and all terms that are unfamiliar must be defined. Please pay special attention to the Outline Guidelines 1-3 that I have uploaded and follow the instructions carefully. A final revision of the general outline should be made to accurately reflect the proper order of the material covered in the final draft of the paper. The final revision would be the detailed outline. It should contain a thesis statement and three main sections (headings) that include subheadings and supporting details. When taking notes, incorporate or delete certain ideas in the outline. In this way you will be able to determine areas you may have neglected or overemphasized. After you have established the accuracy of the general outline, make sure that the points are in the best order.
Psychology infographic assignment psychology apa
This assignment asks you to create an infographic based on the article you selected in Step 1 (Article- Moderating Effect of Mindfulness on PSU on mental health) (and then learned more about in Step 2). You should discuss approximately 3-5 findings from the main article, select a good second quality article and discuss 1-3 findings from there. Don’t forget to include a research limitation from the main article. Cite all your sources and use a little reference list.ÿ
Read more below to help!
Completing the Research Part:
Now you are ready to work on the final part of the assignment. ÿTo build an infographic, you will need a theme or message. ÿConsider the topic of the article when deciding on a theme. ÿFor this part, you will locate at least one additional credible (scholarly) source that aligns with the topic of the research article you read.ÿ You are encouraged to use scholarly or peer-reviewed resources. For instance, if you look at the example above, the main article assigned was on mindfulness and coloring! The student then went into the library’s databases to find a second peer-reviewed article about coloring and anxiety.ÿ
What is an Infographic?
Great question! In the resource below, you will find a video titled, “What is an infographic,” so be sure to check that out. You’ll also find an abundance of information on that page to help guide your infographic development.
To further assist you, here’s an excellent example from a former student:
Infographic Tools
For this assignment, you are to use free infographic tools only. ÿThe examples used Canva infographic tools. ÿYou can access that resource at the website below. It may take you a little bit of time to get familiar with the process, so be sure to start your efforts well in advance of the deadline.ÿ
I highly recommend using Canva, but others have used these websites as well:
Please Note: You will need to make an account for these various infographic sites, but you do not need to purchase anything to complete the assignment. ÿAll of the tools offer paid subscriptions, but there are plenty of free options for each. ÿPlease use the free option.

Warning a Community Discussion
reply to discussion below:Warning a community is probably one of the most important things that could happen before a threat or hazard is about to happen. It is not just about actually warning the community but it is also about what you say in the warning when you say the warning. You need to make sure you give the community enough information so that they can get to safety but not too much information where they are in a panic. The warning is there for the protection of the community and is only there to help, so if the warning causes panic than it is adding more destruction than it is helping before the warning. When disseminating a warning there needs to be enough time for the citizens to get to safety but not too much time where the public begins to believe that the threat is not coming. When I think of warnings there are a few things that come to mind. In the military one of my jobs as a command post controller was to send out ATHOC messages. The messages and warning I sent out were mostly weather notifications of lighting, hail, and winds. Even so, if we did not get those messages out in time before the aircraft would take off it would have been harmful to fly in certain conditions. Thankfully we did not have to send out any messages of attacks or bombs but in exercises that was what we would do and they were specifically timed so that the soldiers could prepare themselves for imminent danger. Another instance that comes to mind is the missile alert in Hawaii last year. This alert was supposed to be a test drill and instead, someone supposedly misunderstood the command and thought it was a real threat so sent out a real-world missile threat. This is a big mistake not only to put a whole state and even country in a panic that we are about to get attacked but the fact that it was not true. This would cause the “crying wolf” aspect as the instructor talked about. The next time an alert goes off and it is a real-world message, how many people will believe it or will they think someone just misheard the instructions.

ÿ
You are the Commander of the Patrol Division of a medium-sized metropolitan city.ÿYou have 33 patrols out on the 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. shift.ÿIt is by far the busiest shift for drunk driving, burglaries, domestic calls, and ATM robberies.ÿThe esprit de corps is very high.ÿLately, you have notice that one of the busiest sector units is dropping off in productivity.ÿYou ask around and find out that the partners in that car are a veteran officer, a married man, and a single young female rookie.
The rumor among the rest of the unit is that they are more than just professional partners.ÿLast week, the chief called you into his office and asked about the drop in activity for the club sector of the city, where the patrol unit of concern is working. He got you to admit that there may be an unconfirmed problem.ÿThe chief told you that he wanted to know the complete situation and that you were to formulate a plan for dealing with the male/female patrol situation and then to come up with ideas to keep this pattern from emerging again in the future.ÿThe department currently has no policies about off-duty relationships of partners.
In a report to the chief of police, you will cite the findings of your investigation of the patrol partners concerned.ÿYou will provide at least 2 remedies for the situation so that it is discontinued.ÿYou will consider the lack of a fraternization policy in the department and suggest the minimum requirements of items that should be in a new policy for the department.ÿYou will include and indicate the types of discipline that should be applied to persons violating the new policy in the future.
Assignment Guidelines
Address the following in 2 pages:
Howÿcan the behavior on the part of the opposite-gender police partners affect the culture of the patrol unit? Explain.
What dangersÿcould arise in an intimate relationship between partners as it pertains to the daily operations of patrol? Explain.
How can these dangers act as triggers of stress? Be specific.
Articulate at least 3 appropriate policy measures that should be in effect to help alleviate this type of situation.
Fully justify your policy measures with regard to the survival of a traumatic event.

PSY 355 Ashford University Personality Discussion
(ORIGINAL PROMPTS FOR ATTACHED) In this paper care should be given to sentence structure, grammar and spelling. Include your name, Course name and instructor?s name. You will note your sources within the paper in ( ) and should include Works Cited at the end. Each page should be numbered, along with your name on the top right hand corner. Font used should be 10 or 11, no larger. The finished paper should be 5-8 pages. In this paper you will discuss what you have learned about your personality type and yourself as a result of completing the Personality Analysis. You should seek out five (5) or more resources to help you understand the meaning of both the MBTI and your Personality Type. You should include references to each of your resources within the paper itself. You should share your Personality Analysis with at least two other people who know you well and discuss their responses and your reactions to their responses.I have interacted with two friends, one at my current work location and another was a neighbor. Both individuals thought that the test results concerning my personality constructs, styles, and type fit me well. They both acknowledged that I have always been a responsible, out-going, social, and most importantly, just me. My reaction to their responses was general. Given that I know them, and I felt I had already known what they were going to say, my predictions were correct. That is one good quality I have, and that is predicting situations with others and most of the time, my predictions are confirmed!Comparison(EMPHASIZE MORE ON THIS PROMPT PLEASE- You should compare and contrast this assessment with others you may have completed in other settings.) I have completed another personality test using the ?Myers Briggs? assessment and each time, the results are nearly the same. I am not sure if it is because I have an insight as to what questions will be answered given I had already done the tests. However, the very first time I remember taking was about 2 years ago, I was curious to learn about my personality style and this was before entering any psychology course. So, I was unaware of what the results truly indicated because of being unknown to the terminology presented. Effectiveness in Interactions(Describe how you plan to use this information to be more effective in your interactions with your family, with your friends and with people in your chosen career field.)Future Vocational Goals(Discuss what the results suggest about your future vocational goals.)Conclusion

ÿ
The completed report should be betweenÿ1,300ÿandÿ2,000ÿwords,ÿexcluding the reference page.
A minimum of threeÿ(3)ÿsources are required.
A recommendation report suggests a resolution to a problem by providing evidence that the problem exists and that there is a good way to resolve or improve the situation. For this project, you will identify a problem and possible solution, and then create a report that documents this information for a decision-maker. As a recommender, it is not so much your job to tell the reader what to do to provide a balanced assessment of the problem and possible solution. In your report,ÿyou will
Introduce the problem
Identify what is currently being done for or with the problem
Provideÿ“new”ÿinformation about ways to resolve the problem
Your report will include
An executive summary
Introduction
Identification of the problem and an explanation of current policy/practices
Identification of a new technique that could be used to resolve the issue
Research from credible sources that supports this as a good option
Possible drawbacks of the new techniqueÿ
A conclusion and next steps section
At leastÿ3ÿgraphicsÿ(smart art or images)ÿthat explain the problem
APA formatting-ÿcover page,ÿreference page,ÿin-text citations as needed

ÿÿCreating and conducting a suveyÿ
One way to truly understand if something that you consider to be a problem really is a problem is by surveying others. For this discussion, you will create a list of at least five survey questions about your topic. Before completing your Project 4 you want to ask at least 5 people to complete your survey and document their answers so that you can use your data for your report.
For this discussion, you only need to (1) list your topic, and (2) create the question list and post that for peer review. See the example below.ÿ
In your responses to others, provide feedback about their questions. Things to consider are
Whether the questions are clear
What questions might seem logical but are left out
Which questions seem best to try to find out the real feelings of others about the situation?ÿ
Example
Problem: Dementia patients trying to use the elevator to leave the nursing home.ÿ
Questionaire Audience: Nursing home staff
Question list:ÿ
Questions

1.ÿÿÿÿÿ In the last year have you stopped a dementia patient from leaving the building or the floor via the elevator?
2.ÿÿÿÿÿ Do you recall any instances of patients making it downstairs and out of the building before being stopped?
3.ÿÿÿÿÿ Do you believe that the nursing facility is doing all that it can to help prevent patients from wandering out of the building?
4.ÿÿÿÿÿ Do you think that hiring more staff and doing nothing else is the answer to this problem?
5.ÿÿÿÿÿ Do you support using ankle bracelets to track and contain patients?
6.ÿÿÿÿÿ After learning about the cost and ideas of using mats or elevator camouflage. do you believe that this is a method that might work based on the patients that you have encountered trying to leave the building?
Case study: statistical inference | Marketing homework help
ÿOverview
The research department of an appliance manufacturing firm has developed a new bimetallic thermal sensor for its toaster. The new bimetallic thermal sensor can sense the temperature of the bread and move the lever arm to activate the switch. The research department claims that the new bimetallic thermal sensor will reduce appliance returns under the one-year full warranty by 2%-6%. To determine if the claim can be supported, the testing department selects a group of the toasters manufactured with the new bimetallic thermal sensor and a group with the old thermal sensor and subjects them to a normal year’s worth of wear. Out of 250 toasters tested with the new bimetallic thermal sensor, 8 would have been returned. Seventeen would have been returned out of the 250 toasters with the old thermal sensor. As the manager of the appliance manufacturing process, use a statistical procedure to verify or refute the research department’s claim.
Instructions
Create 8-10 slides, including a cover and a sources list, for a presentation to the director of the manufacturing plant in which you:
Summarize the problem with the appliance manufacturing firm’s toaster.

Mobile Device Management Discussion
reply to discussion post below:When I first saw Mobile Device Management (MDM), I thought it would only apply to phones and tablets, but now that I see laptops are included, I definitely see the need to have a strong MDM department within any business or large organization. Citrix Endpoint Management (formerly XenMobile as referenced in the CEH book) is cloud-based just like IBM?s MaaS360 management solution but also offers a pay as you use it fee so not only do you not have to buy additional servers or infrastructure, it will also not be a large up front cost as the IT team experiments with and initiates enforcement (Citrix). Using IBM?s or Citrix?s MDM solutions would allow the company to remotely monitor all mobile devices, enforce security settings and requirements on all devices, and if lost or stolen remotely wipe all corporate information to avoid data compromise.I?ve personally seen a couple companies using a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy to allow their remote workers to use their own laptops and phones/tablets to work while at home and when traveling to the office. From what I could tell it was extremely useful because, as stated in CEH and on Citrix?s website, the employees are more productive since they are already comfortable with their own devices and operating systems. To make this work, the employees had to complete training to follow good security practices and keep their corporate information separate from personal information, required VPN?s while teleworking, and allow their device to be remotely monitored in case of loss or compromise. The most difficult part to guard against would be a disgruntled employee or one that was recently fired because it would be difficult to guarantee that the rules were completely followed.Citrix.
