Finial Paper

Write essays of no fewer than 800 words  EACH in response to three of the following five prompts. Be sure to respond as directly and completely to the prompts as possible. Do not waste words on pointless introductions, repetitive conclusions, or other similar filler and fluff. Essays will be graded on the basis of accuracy, cogency, responsiveness, and comprehensiveness.  Present and explain the basic ideas behind virtue theory, utilitarianism, and Kantian deontological normative ethical theories. For each sort of theory, describe carefully how it claims we should go about answering the question ?how should I act??. Also, for each theory, be sure to give a brief characterization of the basic reasoning offered to support that claim. Finally, present some concrete situation presenting an ethical choice, and discuss how each theory would recommend that one go about trying to make that choice. Suppose instead that the woman is an affluent, 30 year old career homemaker and mother of two healthy children ages 3 and 5, in a successful, stable marriage, and 15 weeks pregnant. She did not plan on getting pregnant and neither did nor does want another child, but does not use contraception. Which of our authors would think that the ethics of this situation are significantly different from those of the previous case, and why?

UDC Python Program Project

A local small business has hired you to write a payroll calculation program. The program only needs to calculate gross pay for an employee and display the results. Your program will accept the employee?s name, hours worked, and the employee?s pay rate. The program will need to calculate overtime as well. Overtime is defined as anything over 40 hours is paid at 1.5 times the regular pay. The program should print the employee?s name, the gross pay amount, and only if there was overtime, print the overtime pay amount as well. Finally, the program should repeat as necessary until the user enters a sentinel value. For this project: Tips: Remember to keep track of input data types when comparing values. input() formats the user?s data as a string, so comparing string data to a number without quotes would produce an error.Do not worry about security, it is irrelevant here. Just focus on the functionality discussed above.Remember to follow the guidelines of good program design. Make sure to use meaningful variable names, include comments as needed, and provide thoughtful output.Example output:C:>python week2.pyABC Inc., Gross Pay Calculator!Enter employee’s name or 0 to quit: NathanEnter hours worked: 35Enter employee’s pay rate: 10.00Employee Name: NathanGross Pay: 350.0Enter next employee’s name or 0 to quit: TobyEnter hours worked: 45Enter employee’s pay rate: 10Employee Name: TobyGross Pay: 475.0(overtime pay: 75.0 )Enter next employee’s name or 0 to quit: 0Exiting program…

Need help with a reply post.

I just need a 120 words reply post. The topic was You must answer one question below.  Please use the text to support your position.I need a reply for this post:State capitalism is the idea that the government should regulate the economy by controlling shares from major corporations. China and Russia are two leading examples of state capitalism. China has control of corporations such as Huawei, which they are able to grant loans to and foster innovation at a rapid pace (pg. 1).  China’s government is communistic but its public sector is capitalistic, which has helped it propel millions out of poverty in the past few decades. Russia’s history of socialism and approach to state capitalism is like a giant machine. There is no competition in the state owned corporations, with growth rapidly plateauing and becoming unsustainable. In my opinion, I believe that the Chinese approach to state capitalism would be more prosperous. China has taken millions out of poverty, all while propelling their companies to the forefront of the public sector. While other countries were in an economic crisis from 2008-10, China has proven that it could grow even within these times. State capitalism is still flawed however. The government could give or take loans, businesses, ideas, and more. Entrepreneurs could lose their wealth overnight. In our times, we are seeing more and more entrepreneurs moving their assets to foreign countries and fleeing their own.

Brain Disease

Final Paper: Brain Disease At the beginning of this week, you were introduced to the idea of mental illness as a disease rather than a set of symptoms or behavior. Physiological psychology forms the basis for this paradigm shift. A better understanding of mental illness and its associated symptoms/behavior will result from the combination of both a psychological and biological model of study. For your final project, choose a mental illness to research from both a biological and a psychological standpoint. Look at causes of the mental illness (both biological and environmental), brain structures affected by the illness, hormonal differences in the nervous system, neural pathways affected, etc. You will also need to include a section on treatment options and the specific physiological effects of the chosen treatment method on the nervous system. In conclusion of your assignment, include a paragraph on the importance of using a combination of physiology and psychology in understanding the illness you chose. What insight would be missing without one perspective or the other (physiology or psychology)? You will need to include in-text citations from at least four different resources. Your assignment should also include an introduction, body and conclusion with a reference page listing the resources you cited. Include at least one paragraph for each of the following sections:Should you have any questions regarding this assignment, direct them to your course facilitator.Document TypeMS WordPaper Size8.5 X 11″Length4-5 pagesMarginsTimes or Times New Roman, 12 pt.Line SpacingDouble. Experiences with Viruses in The Past Discussion

reply to discussion post below:I have had bad experiences with viruses in the past. It?s mainly because I used to be lazy and if I got a pop up on the screen to update my machine I would keep clicking not now, which eventually caused my computer to get a lot more viruses when all I had to do was check it the first time I got a notification.I realized I was getting spam because I was not paying attention to what websites I was pulling up or clicking on. Even one accidental click can give you a virus on your computer, it is sad that that is how easy it is.Working at a defense contractor you have to be very careful what websites you?re on and what emails you open. Sometimes they will send ?fake ?suspicious emails to see who actually pulls them up. We took a training when we first started that showed emails like the one they sent and to be aware that it is spam and we should not open it. I accidently opened two ?fake emails? when I started and within a few days had a virus on my computer. I now have Norton security on my home computer and I?m not sure what my company uses. The recommendation I would give is to keep up to date on all your security software and be aware of what emails you open and what websites you click on. By doing so it should minimalize your chances of getting a virus.

SJSU Art Essay

For 20 points, you will provide a thorough narrative answer (not an essay) to the following:  “Jim Crow is a legal and extralegal system of segregation and domination in the US South in effect from the end of slavery through the Civil Rights era. (Extralegal means that it is also “beyond the authority of the law; not regulated by the law.”) Using our course materials only, give examples of both its legal and extralegal aspects.”For 40 points, you will write a 1000-1500 word essay in which you compare the theme of travel and the kinds of travelers in Jack Kerouac’s On the Road with Richard Wright’s Uncle Tom’s Children, namely in “The Ethics of Living Jim Crow” and “Down by the Riverside.” Does everyone have equal access to travel in the US in the 1930s and 1940s? Be specific and include details about the social context, e.g. post-WWII U.S. society, Jim Crow, lynching, the US highway system, the ubiquity of the automobile in U.S. culture, the uses of trains, rivers, etc. Consider the Introduction by Yarborough and his use of the word, “flight,” for example. Consider the Underground Railroad and Black hoboes. Don’t be afraid to think big and in interconnected ways–but you must provide specific evidence with citations from our course materials (do not seek additional materials for your response). In addition to citing sociological information from sources like history.com, you MUST cite at least 4-6 times from both Wright and Kerouac

Similarities Between A Dolls House and The Color Purple Essay

Our third essay is on Drama, to be specific the genre we experienced during the week 3 reading of A Doll’s House.I am going to give you two choices for this essay–write either one, but be absolutely certain that you have an essay–that is to say, not a paragraph. Unless you have a complete essay, you will not generate any points of the 100 points allocated for this assigned writing. The first choice, I suspect the most popular, will be to go to Youtube, as some of you have already done, and view the play, A Doll’s House, and then write an essay on the difference between reading the play as opposed to seeing it. As you know, a play is made to be seen, not read, so the experiences in most cases and for most people are quite different. Do not, no matter what you write, regurgitate the plot–that does not address the question and can not generate one point. The second option might be interesting, perhaps a bit more challenging, but I suspect will be addressed by some few students. Write an essay examining any similarities between A Doll’s House and Alice Walker’s novel The Color Purple. For the comparison you may use text or film versions of either one, but you are to examine something you see as perhaps a common theme or subject. As always, if you have any questions, please email me at once.
