MBA 620 Consolidated Statements of Income Workbook
Question 2: Set up a table with standard, junior and presidential suite in a column and labor hours, units, total labor hours, total cost of labor, and percentage total labor across the headings. For example, for the standard row, labor hours is 1200 and units is 150. Multiply these to find the total labor hours. Then multiply total labor hours by $45 (given) and this is the total cost of labor. Do this same procedure for each row and then add the total cost of labor column. To find the percentage for the standard room, divide the total cost of labor by the total of the column. Do the same procedure for junior and presidential suite percentages.Question 5: Simply take the price given as 1050000 and subtract the total found in question 4.For question 7, suggest using 25.5 percent as the profit margin. Then simply take the total found in question 4 and divide it by (1-0.255) to find the price. For question 8, at 10 units, find the revenue by multiplying the p x q. Then subtract direct materials and direct labor to find the contribution margin. Subtract the fixed cost you found earlier in question 3 (3389053) to find the gross profit and interpret it.Question 9 is similar to question 8.For question 10, note fixed cost of 3389053 (from question 3). Divide the fixed cost by the contribution–found by 1050000 (the price) – 950000 (the variable costs). This gives you the break even number of rooms.

ENGL 101 UA GRANTHAM Engineer Olivers Rhetorical Self Essay
Uncovering Your Rhetorical SelfPurpose of the assignment: To analyze the rhetorical choices we make in order to craft the persona we choose when we interact with others.Procedure: For this assignment, you will write a short essay (250-500 words) analyzing the rhetorical choices you make using at least two of the following:your appearance (clothing, hair, body art, makeup, accessories, and so forth)your living space (décor, furniture, tidiness/cleanliness, and so forth)your social media activities (about information, photos, posting, commenting, and so forth)where you shop and the products you buy your behavior in different social groups (family, friends, work, classes, older people, younger people, and so forth)As our textbook states, all of us work to craft a persona for ourselves to help us appeal to specific groups and gain social standing and its important to acknowledge that we positon ourselves differently in different social groups: how we react in relation to our friends is probably different from how we act with families or with employers (pp. 22-23). Many times we are not consciously aware of the choices we make when we post something on social media or dress a certain way, but we make those choices nonetheless with specific aims in the backs of our minds: To be perceived a certain way or to be accepted in a certain way by the groups with which we interact. In order to begin this assignment, brainstorm the social groups you interact with (work, friends, family, social media, and so forth) and the types of dress, décor, products, and behaviors associated with each. (You may recall prewriting strategies such as freewriting and bubble charts from previous classes; also, consider writing a zero draft, as described in Chapter 12 of your textbook.) You do not need to share your prewriting strategies for this assignment; they are solely for your use.

Your cover letter should combine and demonstrate your ability to analyze and build information systems and your business administration experience–recruiters want to know that you can use technical resources to support effective and efficient decision making.
Your cover letter needs to include the following points:
What positions are you applying for? In what contexts, organizations, or business areas are you interested?
What are the information related skill sets you have for this position? Your skill sets should be relevant to the job posting.
What relevant business experiences do you have? They do not have to be in the same or similar industry as the job postings, but you need to have some understanding of basic business structures and relationships.
Some resources:
Ashford Universitys Career Center has many resources to aid your job search and help compose your cover letter.
In your initial post,
Search for a position that you are interested in from job search sites such as www.indeed.com, www.monster.com, and www.craigslist.com. Identify the job title, job description, and the required skill sets. (TIP: Social networking sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and meetups are common sources of job openings. These sites are not purely personal–they provide professional and reliable job-related information.)

Post the job description and your cover letter to the discussion forum as an example of understanding job requirements and personal qualifications.
Nephrology Nursing Journal Discussion
Please respond with a paragraph to the following question, add citations and references:According to an article published by the Nephrology Nursing journal, the rapidly evolving healthcare field demands sound research evidence to establish clinical practice and improve patient outcomes (Hain, 2015). In order to transition research into practice, not only does it take time it also requires professional recommendation which is often acquired via professional nursing organizations which publish the results and contribute to improved healthcare quality by the use of EBP (Hain, 2015). My research topic consists of public education concerning opioid overdoses and the use of Narcan. Due to the nature of the issue I believe the best professional journal to submit the findings would include the American Heart association. The American Heart Association has a huge amount invested into heart related issues and specializes in providing community-based CPR training. By integrating opioid overdose education and the use of Narcan into the CPR training can be effective in providing community -based education. I would also present the research findings to the American Nursing Association; the ANA has served as a supporter of community- based education as the results to the 2010 IOM report. The ANA has been known to create change in areas with needed improvement. As both the ANA and the American Heart Association are both positive influences for community based training, they would both be effective and supportive in promoting opioid overdose education and the use of Narcan. KNHS Air Quality Index Discussion
How clean is the air in your area? The air quality index is a measure of air pollution in a local area. It tells you how polluted your air is and how your health might be affected by it. You can usually find your local air quality index measure with your daily weather report.Find out about the air quality in your area. You may find the local air quality index in the newspaper with the weather forecast or on your local TV news. At this online weather site you might be able to enter your zip code at the top of the page and see air quality data for your area, but note that they do not display air quality data for every zip code in America. If you do not see it for your zip code, try typing in the name of a major city close to you or a major U.S. city that you would like to visit. Enter in a zip code or city name, click GO, and then scroll down to see an Air Quality Forecast. After finding the air quality forecast for your city of interest, take note of the major pollutants found in the air in that city. Then, do some research on the health effects of those pollutants. After you have completed your research, write a 60-second TV commercial that tells people in your area what their air quality is like, how their health may be affected by the air quality, and what consumers can do to improve air quality in your area.

Operating Cash Flow Worksheet
Create an Excel file computing the pertinent cash flows for this project. An Excel template is provided along with cells to be filled in.You have been hired as a consultant for Wild Cat Manufacturing Inc. (WCM), manufacturers of ultra smart phone covers. The market for these types of advanced covers is growing quickly. Two years ago, the company had hired a marketing firm to analyze the ultra smart phone cover market, at a cost of $300,000. An excerpt of the marketing report is as follows:The industry will continue to grow readily over the next years. With the brand name recognition that WCM brings to bear, we feel that the company will be able to sell 150k, 200k, 225k, and 230k units each year for the next four years, respectively. Again, capitalizing on the name recognition of the WildCat branded ultra smart phone covers, we feel that a premium price of $25 can be charged for each cover. Because the future of ultra smart phone covers may taper rapidly after four years, we feel at the end of the four-year period, sales should be discontinued.WCM believes that fixed costs for the project will be $600,000 per year, and variable costs are 16% of sales. The equipment necessary for production will cost $4.5 million and will be depreciated according to a three-year MACRS schedule. At the end of the project, the equipment can be scrapped for $700,000.Net working capital of $150,000 will be required immediately and will be recoverable at the end of the project. WCM has a 35 percent tax rate.Calculate the companys operating cash flow.
Cereal to Cinnamon Toast Crunch Discussion
100 words response the followingI compared Special K original cereal to Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Both cereals contain around 25g of total carbohydrates. Of these total carbs Cinnamon Toast Crunch contains 9g of sugar while the special K contains 4g of sugar. Cinnamon Toast Crunch contains several added sugars including fructose. According to Harvard Health, higher intake of fructose is associated with obesity, heart disease and diabetes. This may be due to the fact that only the liver cells can break down fructose while any cell in the body can break down glucose. Although the Cinnamon Toast Crunch is whole grain and the special K is not, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch only offers and additional 1.5g of fat and 1g of fiber compared to Special K. Both cereals have roughly the same DV of vitamins and minerals and have been fortified, the addition of nutrients vitamins and minerals. Due to the fortification the whole grains in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch adds little to no additional nutrition benefits compared to special K. Although I do not eat cereal anymore if I had to decide between these two cereals today I would pick the Special K due to the lower sugar content (even at a larger serving size) and the exclusion of added sugars.
