TCLA Group Dynamics and Learning Questions

a. Think about a past group or a current group you work with. Do different individuals adopt different roles (such as the prankster, the sage, the task-master, the story-teller, etc.)? Do these individuals say and do things that continue their “lines” across groups? What are their self-perceptions with respect to what makes them competent in the eyes of others, what makes people like them, and what values they exhibit?b. Observe or recall a time in that group when an “incident” occurred. Who and / or what triggered the incident? What was the aspect that was threatened, and of which person? Describe the sequence of events that occurred after the incident. Who intervened? Did the situation escalate prior to de-escalation? What was the interpersonal behavior expressed by the individuals involved (use the 12-choices framework)?c. Did you play a role in the incident / resolution? How would you now evaluate your options in that situation? What do your choices tell you about yourself?d. What do you think your response would be in a similar situation in the future? When do you think it would be a “political” mistake to take any action in such situations, and when it may be a leadership action?

Competitiveness and inventory management | Human Resource Management homework help

To be competitive, many fast-food chains expanded their menus to include a wider range of foods. Although contributing to competitiveness, this has added to the complexity of operations, including inventory management. In what ways did the expansion of menu offerings create a problem for inventory management? One form of inventory is safety stock, which is primarily carried by companies to ensure a variety of products is available at all times. Using the  Internet, research safety stock.

Then respond to the following:

As a manager, what recommendations could you provide to reduce inventories as it relates to safety stock?
What parameters would lead you to believe that (a) large safety stock, (b) small safety stock, and (c) zero safety stock would be advantageous for the organization? Be sure to provide examples and data in support.

After your initial post, discuss the following:

What are some of the ways in which a company can reduce the need for inventories?
How has technology aided inventory management?
How have technological improvements in products such as automobiles and computers impacted inventory decisions?

Cereal to Cinnamon Toast Crunch Discussion

100 words response the followingI compared Special K original cereal to Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Both cereals contain around 25g of total carbohydrates. Of these total carbs Cinnamon Toast Crunch contains 9g of sugar while the special K contains 4g of sugar. Cinnamon Toast Crunch contains several added sugars including fructose. According to Harvard Health, higher intake of fructose is associated with obesity, heart disease and diabetes. This may be due to the fact that only the liver cells can break down fructose while any cell in the body can break down glucose. Although the Cinnamon Toast Crunch is whole grain and the special K is not, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch only offers and additional 1.5g of fat and 1g of fiber compared to Special K. Both cereals have roughly the same DV of vitamins and minerals and have been fortified, the addition of nutrients vitamins and minerals. Due to the fortification the whole grains in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch adds little to no additional nutrition benefits compared to special K. Although I do not eat cereal anymore if I had to decide between these two cereals today I would pick the Special K due to the lower sugar content (even at a larger serving size) and the exclusion of added sugars.

PUG Measuring the Economic Wellbeing of A Country Questions

I’m studying for my Business class and need an explanation. It is highly recommended that you review the Seminar presentation located in the Seminar area before beginning the Discussion.Gross Domestic Product (GDP) measures the market value of the final goods and services produced within a country during a given period of time. In other words, GDP measures continuous flow of money from households to firms and then back to households in the macroeconomy. (Refer to Chapter 25)The trend of the GDP growth rates is the key indicator of macroeconomic fluctuations (business cycles), which include expansion, boom, contraction, and recession. Thus the real GDP is used to explain how well the overall economy of a country is performing whereas GDP per capita is used as a natural measure of the economic well-being of the average individual in a given country. But GDP has limitations and it is not a perfect measure of the economy and economic health.
