Geography (include the location in the world and topography information (mountains, ocean front, metropolitan city, etc.) Fashion

In Unit 1, you discovered that culture is a complex term in the Humanities. Culture is a presentation of the arts and other manifestations of human achievement collectively ‘and’ culture is the collective customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social groups. In other words, culture can be ‘vast’ as in popular culture, such as a music icon, or it can be ‘intimate,’ such as a street performer playing a stringed instrument.
For this first assignment, you will Investigate the culture of a city in Europe.Create a PowerPoint presentation with images and text that explore the culture of the city you chose in these 5 specific areas: Society (this can include customs, holidays, and economic and government systems). Describe a hypothesis test study that would help your work or conclusions in some way. Describe what variable would be tested and what would be your guess of the value of that variable.

Describe a hypothesis test study that would help your work or conclusions in some way. Describe what variable would be tested and what would be your guess of the value of that variable. Then include how the result, if the null were rejected or not, might change your conclusions or actions in some way.
I decided to choose nutrition can improve energy level. The variable would be between proper nutrition intake with an improved energy level and there would be discussion on fi they were to accomplish more task throughout the day, feeling less groggy when waking up and feeling less brain fog throughout the day. My guess would be there would be an increase in energy level and productivity. if the null was rejected it could be due to was there consistent meal plan that was upheld through the experiment or as stated by Bo et. al, (2020) claim even the gut microbiome can conflict the results and how each person process’ food for energy. Academy Nutrition Information Services Team (2023), offer insight of what cues to utilize to know when to eat and what to eat to improve energy levels. In the research a complete meal plan based on the person’s weight and energy expenditure would be evaluated and should be maintained throughout study.

Describe an instance in which you have seen in the media a discretionary decision made in criminal justice:

According to Maartje van der Woude, discretion refers to “the freedom, power, authority, decision or leeway of an official, organization or individual to decide, discern or determine to make a judgment, choice or decision, about alternative courses of action or inaction” (2016). For this first discussion, you will introduce yourself to your peers and describe an instance in which you have seen a discretionary decision made in the criminal justice field.
Include the following in your initial post:

Introduce yourself to your peers:

Who are you, and what do you do?
Why are you interested in criminal justice?

Describe an instance in which you have seen in the media a discretionary decision made in criminal justice:

This can be an instance that you read about in the news, saw on TV, or read online. Please focus on a public discretionary decision and refrain from sharing a personal example.
This can be an instance that occurred in any branch of the field: law enforcement, courts, or corrections.
Provide background information regarding the incident. Address all aspects of what occurred: who, what, when, where, why, and how.

In response to two of your peers, state whether you agree or disagree with the discretionary decision that was made. If you agree with the discretionary decision, explain why you support it. If you do not agree with the discretionary decision, explain what could have been done differently to produce a better outcome. Remember to always be respectful when replying to peers, even if you do not agree with their stance and/or rationale.

Describe what are the basic principles of phonics instruction?

Knowing the content and methodology of phonics, high-frequency words, and syllabic analysis is essential if teachers intend to be able to help all of their pupils, both struggling and achieving readers, succeed. The chapter emphasizes the importance of phonics (if needed), high-frequency (sight) words, and syllabic analysis as tools for decoding words, but emphasizes that these elements must be taught and applied in the context of real reading and must be adapted to fit the needs of older students and struggling readers. Monitoring progress and gearing instruction to students’ level of development are emphasized. A system for leveling books according to the decoding skills needed to read them is presented. Fluency is also discussed. To empower readers to create their own instruction, the chapter presents basic concepts essential for planning a word recognition program: major consonant and vowel correspondences, generalizations, single-syllable and multisyllabic patterns, and methods and materials for teaching phonics, high-frequency words, and syllabication. Techniques for fostering fluency are presented in detail
In this discussion, based on your reading of  the chapter ,indicate your understanding of Phonics awareness  by responding to the questions below. Reflect upon and discuss ALL Two of the following questions
1. What does it mean if a 5-year-old child writes “pez tak me yet u”  (Please take me with you)? what instructional help would you give?
2. What are the basic principles of phonics instruction?
STEP 1: First, write a response with at least Five substantial sentences, integrating concepts you learned from the reading and other materials (include links with necessary). Show that you can think critically on the topic by integrating your own thoughts, analysis, or experiences.

For a short training presentation during a regional meeting, you have been asked to create a 3- to 5-minute video presentation illustrating the differences between deductive and inductive argument.

Instructions

Use PowerPoint and a video recording program such as Screencast-O-Matic to create a training video that is 3-5 minutes in length and includes the following elements:
· Bullet points with brief text that outlines deductive reasoning.
· Bullet points with brief text that outlines inductive reasoning.
· Clip art or images to accompany your text. You may use characters, cartoons, drawing tools, or other technologies to be creative.
· Narration related to the bullet points to explain:
· The principles underlying both deductive and inductive reasoning.
· Clear examples of both deductive and inductive reasoning in a workplace setting.
· References to your sources at the end of the video.

Your PowerPoint

Slide 1) Title slide
Slides 2-3) Deductive reasoning. You’ll want to provide an example or two. Talk about the value of deduction and why it’s useful.
Slides 4-5) Inductive reasoning. Again, provide an example or two. Discuss the value of induction and how it is used.
Slide 6) References. Yes, they count.

Unit 4 Touchstone: Oral Presentation
ASSIGNMENT: Imagine that you have been asked to give a five-minute oral presentation at the next staff meeting. The purpose is to teach your colleagues some strategy or technique for better communication. Feel free to draw on the content you have already learned in this class!
Since you will not be able to share a screen, it is recommended that you do not try to teach people how to use a technology, but some other best practice. You may do something related to technology, as long as you do not need to do a demonstration. Use of visual aids is optional and will not be assessed directly.
Example topics could be:

Humor at work: what’s appropriate and what’s not
How to soothe an angry customer on the phone
How to give constructive criticism in person
Advice for professional emails

These are some suggestions, but you can select any topic that is related to workplace communication and which can be explained in five minutes.
Don’t be daunted by the time limit. That’s as long as ten television commercials, which usually tell a story and make a pitch in 30 seconds!
Before you begin you may want to review the content on Organizing Presentations and Delivering Presentations.

You will create a 20-minute formal presentation of your capstone including your poster. One File, Two Submissions: 1) Post your recorded voice over narrated Powerpoint slide presentation as an attachment to the first Week Eight discussion forum and 2) Upload the same file to the Week Eight Assignment grading link.

Were you raised with a religious framework? If so, what was it?2. Think about the religious messages you received as a child. Did your religion offer information about gender and/or gender roles?

For reflection papers, you can take a much more reflective approach than you would for the short papers in this class. Every student should have at least three connections to the material from class with APA style in-text citations. For the book, you can use any chapter, even chapters we have not yet covered. You can also refer to the lectures (Flynn, 2022).1. Were you raised with a religious framework? If so, what was it?2. Think about the religious messages you received as a child. Did your religion offer information about gender and/or gender roles? You may consider that not having a religious background provided information to you, too.3. What messages do you see in today’s society that reflect both gender and religion?4. In your experience, what religious messages are harmful in terms of gender?5. In your experience, what religious messages are helpful in terms of gender?6. In class we discussed “complementarianism.” What is complementarianism and what are your beliefs about complementarianism?7. In class, we discussed an article (Forman-Rabinovic & Sommer, 2018) which examined the relationship between religious variables and abortion policy. Do you think measuring abortion policy is a fair way to interpret a society’s treatment of women? Why or why not? Explain.

× How can I help you?
