You recently discover that issues for a hospital health information systems project are not being documented or properly communicated throughout the organization. Discuss your approach documenting issues and concerns, and communicating them

HIMA410-Workforce analytics is a common approach to business operations because it is based on the analysis of employee and staff data. This approach can help businesses find answers to key workforce and workflow challenges, and solutions. Research the types of workforce analytics and discuss how they can be applied to common HIM, informatics and analytic roles.      HIMA360-Project managers are often responsible for distributing and communicating project results and ongoing updates. You recently discover that issues for a hospital health information systems project are not being documented or properly communicated throughout the organization. This is causing rising issues with resistance to change and comfortability with the new system. Discuss your approach documenting issues and concerns, and communicating them. Also discuss the importance of training and other activities that can ease user concerns.                                                                                          HIMA460-Data governance programs focus on different areas based on organizational needs. Trinity Hospital has chosen to focus on the laboratory data, as a model for other departments throughout the hospital. If all areas of a data governance program are not met, is it truly data governance? What are some key elements you would consider to establish standards for any data governance program?

What events eroded support for President Bushs policies during his second term?

Discussion Board: A Nation Divided
88 unread replies.88 replies.NOTE: Be sure to get your initial post in by the usual Thursday deadline and the reply in by Friday (the last day), which is a day earlier than usual.Normally, this week’s discussion would be based around the idea of globalization, which is important especially given the recent challenges surrounding COVID-19 and its global transmission. Yet, as I was looking through chapter 28, I realized I wanted to ask questions about a lot of different topics rather than just one topic. Thus, I turned to the focus questions at the beginning of the chapter, and realized they are great questions and things I really hoped you picked up on while reading. So I will post all 6 questions, and I would like for you to choose 2 to write about in this week’s discussion. This will give us an opportunity to read about many different topics and respond to classmates who wrote about something different. So be sure to include the question at the beginning of each of your two answers, give a thorough analysis of the question IN YOUR OWN WORDS (I would rather you not use quotes for this), and reply to a classmate that answered a different question than you answered. Here are the 6 questions (remember, choose 2):1. What events eroded support for President Bush’s policies during his second term?2. What were the economic practices that contributed to the crisis of 2008?3. What kinds of change did voters hope for when they elected Barack Obama?4. What were the major challenges of Obama’s first term?5. What was divisive about Donald Trump’s campaign and early presidency?6. What were the prevailing ideas of American freedom at the beginning of the 21st century?

“Economic Equilibrium through Different Lenses: A study of Utility, Pain, Pleasure, and Scarcity.”

Description

Write an essay of at least 5 pages on the following:

NOTE: The point of the essay is not to work through the details of the different theories; nor to judge each, on its own, or in relation to the others, and to other lines in economic thought: are they right or wrong? The point is to think through the ways in which they define what economic theory should be, what it should include and exclude, and how it should study what needs to be studied.

Jevons founds his economic theory on the calculus of pain and pleasure adopted from Bentham. Walras and Menger found their theories on scarcity: they define the economic as the situation that arises when the quantity of goods is insufficient to satisfy all the wants to be satisfied by those goods.
I don’t think that there is any fundamental opposition between these two approaches: both employ the concept of utility, and, especially, that of marginal utility (though none of the three – Jevons, Menger, Walras – uses the term “marginal utility” itself). They are all looking for a mechanism to bring about an equilibrium of supply and demand. Nonetheless, pain and pleasure on the one hand, scarcity on the other, are not the same. So:
What is similar, and what is different in the starting-points themselves – pain and pleasure, scarcity? Is there a difference in their focus? Does one point you in a different direction than the other? What is similar in the mechanisms? Is there anything significantly different? Will there be significant differences in the result?
(Note: later neoclassical economics, on the whole, goes for the scarcity approach; and, for example, Robbins, Hicks and Mises all reject pain and pleasure at least in their Benthamite form. You don’t need to take this up, but it’s worth remembering.)

Discuss the implications of a biblical worldview and Christian philosophy for practical application to the overall field of education.

EDLC 504
Biblical Worldview Paper Assignment Instructions

Overview

The
Biblical Worldview Paper Assignment is course-embedded into every degree program in Liberty University’s School of Education (SOE). Its purpose is to carry out LU’s mission to provide an education with a solid Christian foundation and to ensure that every SOE program completer understands the implications of a biblical worldview for the field of education. While there are other assignments that require candidates to write a personal philosophy of education, that is not necessarily the intent of this particular assignment. The goal of this activity is for candidates to accomplish the following:

· Convey an understanding of what is meant by a biblical worldview.
· Support and illustrate this understanding by citing the Bible and other literature on the topic of biblical worldview.
· Apply principles of a biblical worldview to educational practice.
· Articulate key components of a Christian philosophy of education, citing from the Bible and other literature on the topic of Christian philosophy of education.
Because the SOE embeds this assignment into every degree program—i.e., bachelor, master, education specialist (Ed.S.), and doctorate (Ed.D)—it is likely that candidates who earn multiple degrees from LU’s SOE will be required to complete the assignment multiple times. Especially in the Ed.S. and Ed.D. degrees, the Biblical Worldview Assignment may be required for more than one course. Candidates who are required to complete the assignment more than once may resubmit the initial assignment but are encouraged to revise as needed. For example, expectations for undergraduate and graduate writing levels are different; therefore, the composition of the paper may need to be strengthened with the repeated submission. Also, check the assignment directions and rubric to ensure that you are meeting the present course’s specific requirements.

Mission of Liberty University: This assignment advances LU’s mission by promoting “the synthesis of academic knowledge and Christian worldview in order that there might be a maturing of spiritual, intellectual, social and physical value-driven behavior” and by encouraging “a commitment to the Christian life, one of personal integrity, sensitivity to the needs of others, social responsibility and active communication of the Christian faith, and, as it is lived out, a life that leads people to Jesus Christ as the Lord of the universe and their own personal Savior.”

Instructions

Write a 4-page paper in current APA format that conveys your understanding of what is meant by a biblical worldview and a Christian philosophy of education. Also, discuss the implications of these principles in their application to educational practice. Page length requirement begins with the introductory paragraph and ends with the conclusion; it includes neither the title page nor the reference page. An abstract is not required. In addition to the Bible, cite a minimum of four references that represent the body of literature supporting and explaining biblical worldview and Christian philosophy of education. No more than 10% of the paper is to include direct quotes; therefore, you should do much more summarizing and paraphrasing than quoting. Citations are required both for direct quotes and for summarized ideas drawn from references. The format of the paper is to include the sections below with headings that follow current APA format.
·
Title Page

·
Introduction

Present a strong, clear thesis statement. The focus of this paragraph is to introduce the reader to the thesis statement. The remainder of the paper should support and illustrate the main point(s) of the thesis statement.
·
Biblical Worldview

Based upon your readings of the Bible and literature on the topic of biblical worldview, convey a basic understanding of the elements of a worldview that is based distinctively on a perspective of life drawn from Judeo-Christian scriptures. Do not focus on the field of education in this section. A common error is for writers to neglect the discussion of a biblical worldview by focusing too much on the field of education, which is to be addressed in subsequent sections of the paper.
·
Christian Philosophy of Education

Based upon your readings of the Bible and literature on the topic of Christian philosophy of education, convey a basic understanding of the elements of an educational philosophy that is based distinctively on a perspective drawn from Judeo-Christian scriptures. Address metaphysical and axiological issues. Metaphysical issues relate to questions of meaning and purpose. Axiological issues relate to questions of values. Minimize the discussion of practical application to the field of education in this section. A common error is for writers to neglect the discussion of a Christian philosophy of education by focusing too much on the implications for educational practice, which will be addressed in the subsequent section.
·
Implications for Educational Practice

Discuss the implications of a biblical worldview and Christian philosophy for practical application to the overall field of education. Ensure that you discuss these implications for the field in general, but you may also proceed to specify implications for your particular area of interest. For example, if you are preparing to serve as a content area teacher, a special education teacher, an administrator, or a school counselor, you may—after addressing implications for the overall field of education—address implications for your area of service.
·
Conclusion

An effective conclusion affirms the thesis statement and leaves the reader with a clear idea of how thoughts in the paper fit together to make a specific point.
·

Share social conformity situations that you have experienced and apply social psychology theory to explain your actions in those situations.

OBEDIENCE
The intent of social psychology research has been and still is to explain how circumstances are more a power determinant of individual behavior than our own intuitions lead us to believe. Research on obedience and compliance is focused less on explaining why obedience can be a good thing—which it can—and more on explaining why people obey/comply with demands when they would likely prefer not to or when the demands compel them to do bad things (e.g., the classic Milgram and Stanford Prison studies).
Many are familiar with the experience of being tasked by someone in authority (e.g., a teacher, work supervisor, athletic coach) to do something of questionable value and which may be counterproductive. The demand itself appears to be arbitrary and may serve only to establish the authority of the person making it.
For this Discussion, you will share social conformity situations that you have experienced and apply social psychology theory to explain your actions in those situations.

WEEKLY RESOURCES
TO PREPARE

Review the Learning Resources related to conformity and obedience and consider how they would apply to this Discussion.
Consider a time when you have experienced when compliance with a task was required, even when you believed that time could have been better spent doing something more productive. The task may have come from a teacher, supervisor, coach, or other authority figure.
If you complied with the order, reflect on why. If you did not, reflect on why you did not comply.

BY DAY 4
Post an example of a time when you complied with an authority person’s demand, despite thinking it was not a good use of your time. Please explain why you did. Then, give an example of a time when you refused to comply; explain why. Your post must be informed by social psychology theory and research.

What are some of the ways that Pitney Bowes has aligned its goals for diversity with a market-driven approach to meeting its customers’ needs?

Assignment:
Assignment – Part 1:
In this assignment, you are the game show host for the Diversity game (attached PowerPoint).
Gather two or three friends or family members as contestants. If you have more, divide them into two groups. Use a piece of paper to keep score and print the second page of the presentation to mark which questions were incorrectly answered.
1. Open the PowerPoint Diversity game. Start the Slideshow to begin.
Read these instructions to the teams:

One person (or team) will randomly be selected to choose the first question category and level. Once a question is read aloud, all person (or team) will debate the answer. One team will raise a hand or use his or her assigned team noisemaker when the team is ready to answer.
I will call on the first team to respond. If they answer correctly, they will receive the number of points indicated, and they will choose the next question category and level. If their answer is incorrect, I will call upon the second team and so on.
In the event that no team answers the question correctly, I will give the correct response. The team that chose last still has control of the board and should choose the next question.
Scores will be recorded and the winner announced at the end of the round. There will be one round of 25 questions (or two rounds of 25 questions each if you also play Double Diversity).

2. Once you have the “board” displayed, and the first team has selected their question, click one of the cells to reveal a question.
3. To return to the main board, click on the “Diversity” icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
4. If the game is close, use the Double Diversity board.  To advance to the Double Diversity board, click the logo in the top-right (above “The Amazing Race”) of the main game board. This will take you to the Double Diversity! board (Board 2).
After playing the game, discuss with the contestants why they believe they missed some of the questions.
Write a 500-word essay that evaluates the game play, your thoughts on why questions were correctly and incorrectly answered, and what you learned from the game.
Assignment – Part 2:
Select three of the following five prompts.  Write a response of at least 300 words for each of the three prompts:

What was one of your earliest experiences concerning race? Describe the experience, how you felt, and how the experience was handled. If you could rewrite that experience, how would you change it and/ or how it was handled?
Explain the concept of “best practice” and what it means in the context of diversity strategy. What are the challenges of developing and implementing best practices? What are the potential benefits?
What are some of the ways that Pitney Bowes has aligned its goals for diversity with a market-driven approach to meeting its customers’ needs? Be specific.
What is/are the common theme(s) between the Bowman exercise and the Miner article?
Review the author’s list of 46 examples of white privilege. Critically evaluate which of these indicate white privilege and which might be artifacts of other forces (market forces, personal choice, etc.).

Submit both Assignments in the same document.
Assignment Expectations:

Explain the relationship between personal integrity and ethical leadership, and between ethical leadership and positive organizational outcomes.

Prepare an 8-10 slide PowerPoint presentation for a group of managers. Explain the relationship between personal integrity and ethical leadership, and between ethical leadership and positive organizational outcomes. Explain the ethical principles of autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, and justice and how these principles guide ethical health care leadership practices.
Introduction
As you prepare for your career, it is important to build a foundational understanding of the basic ethical theories directly related to health care management. It is important to infuse ethical knowledge and principles throughout an organization to effectively address challenging situations in all aspects of management, leadership, strategic planning, and decision making.
You should also understand the relationship between personal value systems and ethical management practice. The concept of moral integrity is a basis for professional actions and leads to positive business outcomes. Of course, there are personal ethical challenges that might present barriers in maintaining long-term, consistent success as a moral leader; therefore, the development of a personal moral compass and ethical bottom line can be useful in guiding your career.
Autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, and justice are examples of the ethical principles most commonly used by health care leaders in organizational management planning, problem-solving, and decision making. Effective managers refer directly to these ethical principles for preventing and resolving issues related to all aspects of business.
While these principles appear to be relatively easy to define, the challenge for health care leaders is in their appropriate application. An effective leader develops knowledge, understanding, and skills in ethical leadership through observation, practice, and reflection on experiences and outcomes. The constant, and often profound, changes in our health care system create continuous learning opportunities to develop moral leadership qualities and skills. Each sector of the health care system presents different needs and situations related to each of the ethical principles, although some applications are universal.
Preparation
Suppose the health care organization where you work has determined that most employees are unclear about the differences between ethics and morality, and professional ethics and personal ethics. As a mid-level manager, you have been asked to develop and present a lunch-and-learn session on ethics for other managers within the organization.
Review the resources provided and conduct your own search for scholarly and professional resources on ethical principles and theories. Find at least three authoritative resources you can use to support your work on this assessment.
The format for this assessment is an 8–10 slide PowerPoint presentation. Please use the notes section of each slide to expand the points on the slide. Be sure your presentation is appropriate for the audience and presents the required aspects clearly. Follow APA guidelines for any in-text citations and your references. You must include a title slide and a references slide. You do not need to record yourself giving the presentation.
Instructions
Prepare an 8–10 slide PowerPoint presentation for managers in a health care organization. Include the following:

Explain the relationship between personal moral integrity and ethical leadership in health care. Be sure you also consider how these concepts differ and the role of health care managers in ensuring that ethics are an integral element in their leadership.
