HIST 1493 The Civil Rights Movement in American History Essay

Your assignment is to write a paper (4-6 pages) examining the Civil Rights Movement in American history using a number of primary sources provided by the instructor. In four to six pages, the paper should attempt to address the struggles, problems, resistance to, and goals of the movement. The entire purpose of the study of history is to learn from the past. Not to idolize it, not to romanticize it, not to tailor it to fit our world view, but to learn from it. History is messy – it is never as neat as a movie or even a classroom exam might make it seem. Our present is shaped by the past, and while it is useful to understand the past, one must never want to live there. 2020 has seen extraordinary times – a global pandemic, protests and upheaval in American life, and no doubt these events will be discussed in a future history class. Yet these events are not new, and comparisons with history could prove eye opening. As debates over the questions of race touch not only American society but even conversations here at Oklahoma State University (such as Friday, June 18, 2020’s vote to rename Murray Hall), it would be helpful to understand the history of race in America. For the purposes of this assignment, and taking in to account the compressed nature of our course, I am going to provide the source material for you. Your task, using the sources available is to write a 4-6 page paper on any topic of your choice in the Civil Rights Movement. Individual people, protests, reactions, themes, whatever interests you. Beyond formatting, the stipulations for the paper are:Document collections:Library of Congress Civil Rights Era Primary Documents: Library of Congress Resources on Jim Crow Laws and Segregation: Library of Congress Resources on the NAACP and Freedom Rides: The Crisis: Eyes on the Prize Documentary Series: FBI Records Civil Rights Activists and Events: Primary Source Martin Luther King: Rosa Parks Papers: Travel Places of the Civil Rights Movement:

Business finance 6-3 assignment: 24-month pro forma assignment | BUS 400 Driving Business Opportunities |

Overview
Creativity and diversity can lead to outcomes that both maximize profit and enhance social well-being. Business leaders use measurable factors to help determine design and development decisions, “go” or “no-go” milestones, financial models, and many “what if” scenarios. In this process, the new product or service is considered as part of a system.
Scenario
You rocked your BMC and received a great response from the experienced project manager (PM). As you read the feedback, you realize that it’s now time to develop the financial component. In the comments, the PM also stated that no matter how good an idea is, to senior management, it’s a “no-go” if the new product or service does not produce sales.
In preparation for your funding pitch, which you will submit as your course project in Module Seven, the PM also warns that funding pitches are quick and decisive. Including too much information could overwhelm senior management, cause more questions, and erode the purpose of the funding pitch.
Prompt
The PM’s directive at this point is for you to develop a 24-month pro forma that demonstrates the potential profitability of the new product or service in an income statement. You will use the Module Six Assignment Template linked in the Guidelines for Submission section to complete this assignment.
You may use the current company’s income statement to project what can be added to the company’s profitability. This can be found in the company’s 10-K. Look to other companies in the marketplace with products or services similar to the one you are proposing as a basis for your projections. Additionally, you may use the company’s current year numbers and key assumptions based on your analysis of the market to project into the future. Remember, these numbers are purely speculative.
In the template, you will specifically address the following:

Previous fiscal year: Identify historical information for the previous fiscal year.
24-month projections: Speculate projections for 24 months.
Explanation of assumptions: Explain how you were able to speculate appropriate assumptions.

I have attached the Template for the assignment.  Also, all the assignments up to now are for reference.

High School Calculus Discussion

The goal is to optimize income for the transportation systemI am doing a math project and need help incorporating the equations of marginal revenue, marginal cost, and the function of derivatives to answer my question. we wanted to determine the maximum profit a mts can make by figuring out what numbers to use for the equations and solve them. This is the report we have so far for our project so we need to solve the math with an explanation and see step by step how using this math can get us an answer on what to change or how to maximize the profit for the transportation system (san diego mts). The San Diego MTS travels at 55 mph while covering 65 miles of San Diego. Its annual income rate was 360.0 million in 2021. While the day pass is $6.00 and the monthly pass is $72.00, charging citizens $0.50 per mile the ride will increase the annual income towards The San Diego MTS. According to sdmts.com, an average rider travels 15 miles a day. Draft so farTo maximize the profit from public transportation systems the concept of marginal revenue and marginal cost can be used. By setting the marginal revenue equal to the marginal cost and then determining the level of output that corresponds to this point. Minimum and maximum derivatives can also be used to optimize systems and achieve desired outcomes as it helps identify the highest point of profit through the slope curve. To add on, using the minimum derivative optimizes public transportation systems by identifying where the point of the slope cost is at its lowest.Derivatives of a function are used to calculate speed or distance traveled, such as miles per hour and kilometers per hour. This is a measurement that is used to determine how quickly the derivative changes the value of Y with the change in the value of X. Derivatives are used every day by certain employers to help determine something changing. For example, the change of speed in trains, buses, cars, and planes is solved with calculus. The formulas we plan on using is derivative of a function:F(x) = lim (h->0) [f(x)(x+h) – f(x))/h]This formula gives the slope of the tangent line to the graph of the function f(x) at any given point x. The derivative is forming a base for a plan in calculus and is used to find the rate of change of a function. To find the marginal cost and marginal revenue, we take the derivative of the cost function and revenue function. The marginal cost is the derivative of the total cost function with respect to the quantity of output:MC(q) = dC(q)/dqMC(q) is the marginal cost, C(q) is the total cost function, and q is the quantity of output.MR(q) = dR(q)/dqMR(q) is the marginal revenue, R(q) is the total revenue function, and q is the quantity of output.

Reimbursement and the appropriate coding to support it are of paramount importance to the business side of the medical field. When a service is provided, a code is used to extract billable information from the medical documentation, which results in insurance reimbursements to the provider. Reimbursement rates and medical coding can be almost as complicated as treating some mental illnesses, and you will need to understand how to accurately code services for documentation, billing, and reimbursement.
This week, you analyze the relationships among documentation, coding, and billing in advanced practice nursing as you practice applying diagnostic criteria and service codes to a case study.
Apply DSM-5-TR diagnosis criteria and ICD-10 codes to patient service documentation
Analyze the relationships among documentation, coding, and billing in advanced practice nursing
Evaluation and management(E/M)
Insurance coding and billing is complex, but it boils down to how to accurately apply a code, or CPT (current procedural terminology), to the service that you provided. The payer then reimburses the service at a certain rate. As a provider, you will have to understand what codes to use and what documentation is necessary to support coding.
For this Assignment, you will review evaluation and management (E/M) documentation for a patient and perform a crosswalk of codes from DSM-5-TR to ICD-10.
• Review this week’s Learning Resources on coding, billing, reimbursement.
• Review the E/M patient case scenario provided.
ASSIGNMENT 1
• Assign DSM-5-TR and ICD-10 codes to services based upon the patient case scenario.
Then, in 1–2 pages address the following. You may add your narrative answers to these questions to the bottom of the case scenario document and submit altogether as one document.
Explain what pertinent information, generally, is required in documentation to support DSM-5-TR and ICD-10 coding.
Explain what pertinent documentation is missing from the case scenario, and what other information would be helpful to narrow your coding and billing options.
Finally, explain how to improve documentation to support coding and billing for maximum reimbursement.

For each of the assigned problems, do the following:For each of your equations, write down five (5) points on the graph of each equation (you do not have to submit your graph. Draw the graph using paper/pencil or use online graphing calculators like Desmos Graphing Calculator inks to an external site. to answer the question). For each of your equation, does the graph of each equation have any intercepts? If yes, what are they? If not, why not?State the range for each of your equations. Write them in interval notation. State whether each of the equations is a function or not giving your reasons for the answer.Select one of your graphs and assume it has been shifted three units upward and four units to the left. Discuss how this transformation affects the equation by rewriting the equation to incorporate those numbers.

Review the reading, draw from your own ideas, examples or experience– and conduct some additional research as needed.DQ2Research Paper Guidance via Weekly Discussion:Please note the following: the weekly discussion assignments will guide you through the writing of your research paper, to allow you to begin working through the sections of your paper and receive feedback on it. This semester you are all going to be entrepreneurs. Pretend that you are planning to open your own business within the next year, and that you are writing your business plan. For your research paper, you will analyze the IT requirements for your proposed business and write a proposal for how you plan to meet the IT needs of your new company. Each week on the discussion board, you will have an activity related to your research paper. This is an opportunity for you to begin formulating ideas for your research paper and for you to receive constructive feedback from your peers and your instructor, as you develop your ideas.Hello Class,International assignments are an essential aspect of the global economy, as they enable companies to expand their operations, increase market share, and tap into new sources of talent and innovation. However, the allowances and reimbursements associated with international assignments can be costly for companies. While avoiding international business activities may seem like a reasonable solution to minimize costs, it is not a viable option for most companies. Instead, companies can take several steps to minimize the cost of international assignments.First, companies can develop a comprehensive compensation and benefits package for international assignees that balances the need to attract and retain top talent with the need to control costs. This package should include base salary, performance-based incentives, and benefits such as housing, health insurance, and education allowances. By providing a competitive compensation and benefits package, companies can motivate international assignees to perform at their best and reduce the risk of turnover.Second, companies can implement cost-saving measures such as housing and transportation allowances that are commensurate with the cost of living in the host country. This can help to minimize the overall cost of the international assignment without compromising the quality of life for the assignee.Third, companies can leverage technology to reduce the need for international travel. For example, video conferencing can be used to facilitate virtual meetings, reducing the need for face-to-face interactions that require travel. This can help to minimize travel-related expenses and reduce the carbon footprint of international assignments.Fourth, companies can consider partnering with local companies or hiring local talent to reduce the cost of international assignments. Local talent can provide valuable insights into the local market and culture, and partnering with local companies can help to reduce the cost of establishing a presence in a foreign market. In conclusion, while the allowances and reimbursements associated with international assignments can be costly, avoiding international business activities is not a viable option for most companies. Instead, companies can take several steps to minimize the cost of international assignments, including developing a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, implementing cost-saving measures, leveraging technology, and partnering with local companies or hiring local talent.ReferencesCollings, D.
