Prepare an individual 825-word reflection on the experience of working in a group
Prepare an individual 825-word reflection on the experience of working in a group. This reflection should include the following:
• Use of a relevant reflective model to help structure your experience
• A review of how you feel the group itself performed – the group contributed well towards the assignment work. Although 3 of the group members got COVID and i was one of them, and it disrupted our work for 10 days , we managed to finish our work before the deadline and helped and
support each other to perform a well constructed piece of work. The meeting were taken place through teams because of chrismas holidays and covid.
• A reflection on how you feel you contributed to the group and how you might adapt your approach to team work going forward – i have covered part 3 of the objectives which includes the role of financial professionals in providing budgeting and forecasting activities within sustainability
practices. i also managed to design the poster of the presentation.
• A reflection on how this experience has differed from any similar group work experiences you have recently had. – it was one of the best experience i had and it taught me dedication and discipline and how to overcome obstacles and try to find solutions.
– assess on ability to construct an argument using appropriate academic references ,journal articles, models, theory and practical case examples to illustrate your points.
What are the reflections of retired Airmen on their experience with the Enlisted Promotion System while they were on active duty?
Purpose of the Study
The purpose of this descriptive case study is to understand how retired Airmen reflect on their experience with the EPS and how that experience reflected their leadership skills accurately. For the USAF to continue to be innovative and have the backing of the United States, a willingness to serve and support and defend the country must be present. This also means the organization, the USAF, need people to enlist and not separate from duty.
Maintaining the force of people in the USAF is another benefit to addressing the problem at hand and initiating change. Jackson (2019) noted after a survey and research study of United States military personnel was conducted, a few factors that members of the Armed Forces relied on to decide to re-enlist or separate included that of financial incentives such as promotion and leadership (pg 5). Without the backing of the people, there is no military and with promotion being at the top of the priority for Airmen to decide to reenlist, this only justifies clearer the need for the promotion system to change and for leadership at the top to take immediate action in implementing change within the promotion system.
Population and Sample
Four select groups of retired enlisted Airmen will be asked to participate in the study. Data collection will take place with in-depth interviews, utilizing discovery type and exploratory-style interview method and qualitative Coding method will be utilized using field notes, data analysis, and interpretation notes. Considering the knowledge of Thomas (2013) and given that the Military system is not a system that can be easily manipulated for experimental purposes; a non-experimental research design will be applied, more specifically; a comparative research that will compare retired Air Force members that reflect positively on the EPS and those retired Air Force members that have different reflections
Significance of the Study
The results may show the lasting effects on immediate actions and resolutions to a needed change which are both influential to the people within the organization. For the USAF to continue to be innovative and have the backing of the United States, a willingness to serve and support and defend the country must be present. This also means that the organization, the USAF, needs people to enlist and not separate from duty. Maintaining the force of people in the USAF is another benefit to addressing the problem at hand and initiating change. Placing leadership capabilities in alignment with promotion could result in a positive change for the Air Force and its most deserving Airmen.
Nature of the Study
The Air Force promotion system study will require a qualitative, descriptive case study research, which will analyze how enlisted Airmen reflect on their experience with the EPS and how that experience reflected their leadership skills accurately. The comparisons of different groups of people in the promotion system will be studied for different reactions among other variables. By choosing the qualitative method, it should be easier to formulate new research questions if need be as well as have a clearer understanding as to why things happen. Taking into account of the knowledge of Thomas (2013) and given that the Military system is not a system that can be easily manipulated for experimental purposes; a non- experimental research design will be applied, more specifically; a comparative research that will compare retired Air Force members that reflect positively on the EPS and those retired Air Force members that have different reflections
Research Questions
R1: What are the reflections of retired Airmen on their experience with the Enlisted Promotion System while they were on active duty?
R2: How do retired Airmen perceive their leadership competency skills as it relates to the
Enlisted Promotion System?
How is the sense of realism maintained when film remediated from video games?
How is the sense of realism maintained when film remediated from video games? According to Bazin’s Idea of Realism, is game always a better tool than film to convey realism, or not? Use Warcraft a case study, thinking about how films adapt games and manage to keep the same level of realism for its audiences.
1. the theories of different types of Realism, debates over realism among different mediums;
2. How do games convey realism, the idea of the Magical Circle& Socio-cultural realism, collective memory in players’ community, and problems;
3. in the case of Warcraft, when it’s remediated into films, what are the tools to maintain the sense of realism for its audiences without providing them chances to interact with the imagery world (when lack of players’ challenge), what tools are used to maintain the same level of realism when films adapt from games? Is it valid to say that Warcraft film adaption is less real than its game version because of the lack of users’ interaction it allowed? (e.g. how well do the film adaptions cope with the rules of the game, and replace the figures that’s used to be controlled by the players, do they still fit in the idea of realism? )
4. for what’s unique about games’ reality, such as players’ interaction, live community, players’ challenges, and game mechanism, how do film adaptation of Warcraft managed to replace these in order to maintain the same level of realism for its spectators, how well it’s achieved?
5. How technology has impact on realism?
6. Overall, I would like my argument to be: the matter of realism through one medium adapting another medium is highly subjective: what makes games/films truly “real” for players/audiences is the extent to which they create collective projects of action that people care about, not their imitation of sensorial qualm. Additionally, the articulation of in-game/film and out-of-game/film worlds and trace people’s engagement with virtual/imagery worlds across multiple domains, some virtual and some actual can vary one’s opinion on realism.
How is COVID-19 impacting travel demand? What are the travel restrictions of the origin & destination country?
Assessment Title: European Short-haul Route Analysis
All airlines have complex route networks that connect passengers and freight between airports. An airline could have more than 1000 routes in the network for any one season. The performance of each route is measured in terms of profitability which airlines monitor on a regular basis. Capacity on profitable routes is often increased and can be crucial to the airline. However not all routes are successful and underperforming routes may have capacity reduced or may even be dropped altogether. Route performance is dynamic and can change quickly due to changes in passenger demand, variations in operating costs and changes to competition on the route due to other airline operators.
As part of this assignment, you are assuming the role of a route analyst working for easyJet airlines. The airline is working on a large project to review the routes operated across their network. They are looking to drop some less profitable routes so that they can deploy aircraft on more successful routes. You have been asked by your manager to conduct a commercial and operational analysis for a specific route to assess its viability. You are to write a 2000-word report (±10%) including the following sections:
• Demand and Revenue Analysis
• Cost and Operational Analysis
• Route Recommendation
easyJet currently has 1951 flight sectors and more than 800 routes scheduled. A full list is available at https://www.easyjet.com/en/cheap-flights/timetables.
You may select any route of your choice from this list and analyse it for this report.
You may find it useful to read airline management books and journal articles. You are also strongly encouraged to use airline databases such as CAPA to research information about the route.
In addition to the assessment brief, this document provides you with further guidance about how you could conduct the route analysis.
For the route you are analysing you should consider some of the following points:
Demand Analysis
• What type of destination would you categorise the route? (e.g. leisure, business, VFR or a mix). How will this impact the potential revenue for the route?
• How is the passenger demand likely to vary throughout the year (seasonal variation)?
• Are there any events, national holidays, celebrations at the origin & destination on specific dates where demand is likely to increase?
• How is COVID-19 impacting travel demand? What are the travel restrictions of the origin & destination country?
• What is the economic situation of the countries connected by the route? You could research unemployment rates, GDP etc.
• What is the average cost of living/visiting the destination when taking into consideration currency exchange rates? You could research average hotel prices, food and drink, local transport cost etc at the destination. How does this impact demand?
• What is the catchment size of the local population?
• Are there any safety and security concerns about the destination? Is there a history of terrorist attacks, natural disasters that could deter passengers from travelling there?
Revenue Analysis
• How will the mix of passengers impact the revenue potential of the route?
• How does the price of tickets vary throughout the day/week/year?
• Who are the competitor airlines and how are they competing? Do the competitors operate direct, non-stop, connecting flights? How do the flight schedules of the competitors compare to easyJet’s flight schedule?
• What are the unique selling points about the easyJet flights that enable it then to generate more revenue?
• What is the potential for ancillary revenue on the route?
• Are there other modes of transport (substitutes) that connect the route? If so, how does the price of using these other transport services compare to easyJet prices?
Overall, what are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOTs) of the route in terms of demand and revenue?
Cost and Operational Analysis
• What are the likely operating costs of the route? Consider easyJet’s financial reports to estimate costs.
• Are there any crew constraints that would adversely impact the operating costs?
• How could easyJet reduce their costs to maintain profitability?
• Would operating the route cause a negative impact on aircraft utilisation/ productivity?
• Are there any operational constraints at the destination airport such as congestion, shortage of stands, very short runways?
• Is the destination frequently impacted by adverse weather that could cause disruption to flights?
• What is the availability of nearby alternative airports in case of diversion?
And finally:
• Remember to conclude your report with recommendations that will increase revenue and reduce costs.
• The more detailed your analysis, the more marks you are likely to achieve.
• You should use charts, tables and diagrams wherever appropriate to present information and evidence.
• Please ensure that any data taken from external sources is cited and referenced in the report.
• In terms of report structure and presentation, ensure you separate the report into numbered sections and subsections, label figures and tables, proof-read your report to identify and correct spelling and grammatical errors prior to submission.

Situation:
XtremityPlus is known for its outlandish extreme-sports products, and the Looney Launch is no exception. Fulfilling the dream of every childhood daredevil, the Looney Launch is an aluminum and fiberglass contraption that quickly unfolds to create the ultimate bicycle jump. The product has been selling as fast as you can make it, even though it comes plastered with warning labels proclaiming that its use is inherently dangerous. Your task:
Write a post for your internal blog, explaining that the Looney Launch is being removed from the market immediately. Tell your employees to expect some negative reactions from enthusiastic customers and retailers, but explain that (a) the company can’t afford the risk of additional lawsuits and (b) even for XtremityPlus, the Looney Launch pushes the envelope a bit too far. The product is simply too dangerous to sell in good conscience
