Assignment Description
You will create this assignment following the Assignment Detail instructions below.
Review the tutorial How to Submit an Individual Project.
Assignment Details
Organizations seeking to attract and retain their top talent create programs that will improve the employee experience. Employee experience is a term used to identify the
employee’s life cycle with the organization. Employees who feel that their organization is committed to diversity and inclusion are more likely to feel higher job satisfaction.
The vice president of human resources (HR) has asked for advice on putting a diverse and inclusive hiring process in place for the organization. Specifically, the VP is interested
in training recruiters in the HR department. The VP wants to attract and select a more diverse applicant pool to diversify the workforce. You will be presenting your
recommendation to senior management.
Your task is to provide a recommendation. Your advice must explain the steps that will facilitate the recruitment and selection of a diverse workforce. Your presentation must
include the following points:
The role of recruitment and selection in developing a diverse workforce
At least 3 biases that may exist in this process
A detailed discussion of at least 5 different strategies that can be implemented in the recruitment and selection process to ensure that it is inclusive and free from bias
Submitting your assignment in APA format means, at a minimum, you will need the following:
Title page: Remember the running head. The title should be in all capitals.
Length: 5 pages minimum
Abstract: This is a summary of your paper, not an introduction. Begin writing in third person.
Body: This begins on the page following the title page and abstract page and must be doublespaced (be careful not to triple or quadruplespace between paragraphs).
The typeface should be 12pt. Times Roman or 12pt. Courier in regular black type. Do not use color, bold type, or italics, except as required for APAlevel headings and
references. The deliverable length of the body of your paper for this assignment is 5 pages. Inbody academic citations to support your decisions and analysis are required.
A variety of academic sources is encouraged.
Reference page: References that align with your inbody academic sources are listed on the final page of your paper. The references must be in APA format using
appropriate spacing, hanging indent, italics, and uppercase and lowercase usage as appropriate for the type of resource used. Remember, the Reference page is not a
bibliography but a further listing of the abbreviated inbody citations used in the paper. Every referenced item must have a corresponding inbody citation.

Consider what physical exams and diagnostic tests would be appropriate to gather more information about the patient’s condition.

Assignment 1: Case Study Assignment: Assessing Neurological Symptoms

Imagine not being able to form new memories. This is the reality patients with anterograde amnesia face. Although this form of amnesia is rare, it can result from severe brain trauma. Anterograde amnesia demonstrates just how impactful brain disorders can be to a patient’s quality of living. Accurately assessing neurological symptoms is a complex process that involves the analysis of many factors.
In this Case Study Assignment, you will consider case studies that describe abnormal findings in patients seen in a clinical setting.
To Prepare
By Day 1 of this week, you will be assigned to a specific case study for this Case Study Assignment. Please see the “Course Announcements” section of the classroom for your assignment from your Instructor.
Also, your Case Study Assignment should be in the Episodic/Focused SOAP Note format rather than the traditional narrative style format. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Sullivan text and the Episodic/Focused SOAP Template in the Week 5 Learning Resources for guidance. Remember that all Episodic/Focused SOAP notes have specific data included in every patient case.
With regard to the case study you were assigned:
Review this week’s Learning Resources, and consider the insights they provide about the case study.
Consider what history would be necessary to collect from the patient in the case study you were assigned.
Consider what physical exams and diagnostic tests would be appropriate to gather more information about the patient’s condition. How would the results be used to make a diagnosis?
Identify at least five possible conditions that may be considered in a differential diagnosis for the patient.
The Case Study Assignment
Use the Episodic/Focused SOAP Template and create an episodic/focused note about the patient in the case study to which you were assigned using the episodic/focused note template provided in the Week 5 resources. Provide evidence from the literature to support diagnostic tests that would be appropriate for each case. List five different possible conditions for the patient’s differential diagnosis, and justify why you selected each.

Assigned Case Study Below
22 year old african american female looks in the mirror and notices the left side of her mouth is slanted when she smiles. She notes she has had some headache off and on a few days. Her taste has decreased as well when she started brushing her teeth.

Please discuss one of the different pathophysiology concepts mentioned above that contributed to this patients development of osteomyelitis.

For this weeks discussion board, please review the case study below.

MM, age 68 years old, has had type 2 diabetes for 20 years. A few years ago, she noticed that her feet were numb. The doctor at the clinic advised her to wash and inspect her feet for injuries every day. MM was overweight and had difficulty bending to see her feet. She was very busy cooking and caring for five members of her extended family who live with her. She did not notice when she developed a red spot that became a small ulcer at the base of her big toe on her right foot.
After the ulcer became infected, MM began to notice a stained spot on her socks every day. She tried to wash and dry her feet more carefully and applied an ointment her cousin gave her. She did not go back to the clinic because she did not have anyone else to watch her grandchildren while her daughters were at work. Besides, the open area on her foot was not getting any bigger.
MM developed a fever that did not go away with her traditional remedies, and she began to feel worse and worse each day, so she went to the clinic. Her temperature was 39.4° C (103.1° F). After x-rays, she was diagnosed with acute osteomyelitis and admitted to the local hospital to begin intravenous antibiotic therapy.

Please discuss one of the different pathophysiology concepts mentioned above that contributed to this patients development of osteomyelitis.  What education should be included for this patient?  What are current evidence based findings for osteomyelitis?
Please refer to the syllabus appendix for grading rubric of the discussion forums.  Students may earn up to 2.5 points per discussion forum for the week.  Please note you must post your initial discussion before you can see those of other group members.  Remember that each initial post must include a scholarly reference < 5 years other than the textbook for full points.

How does this compare with your own perspective on quality education, based on your reading of this module, and your own experience and observation?

EMA E309 – With the ‘E309 Learning and Teaching around the world’ book, please reference with the use of the chapters authors name and add in the editors.
Overview of assessment
The EMA requires completion of:
Document 1:
Part 1: a discussion of ‘quality education’ drawing on your practitioner interview (1000 words).
Part 2: a comparative study of educational inclusion and its relevance to educational quality, exploring a topic in two countries (1800 words).
Appendix A: practitioner interview schedule.
Appendix B: ethical statement.
Document 2 (template): Application of learning: next steps – an outline of your academic and/or professional career plans (200 words).
Document 3: My Global Journey.
Practitioner interview and ethical considerations
In the EMA, you will draw on relevant information from your interview with a practitioner, that you planned in Block 4 and carried out in Block 5.
The British Educational Research Association (BERA) (2018) has provided specific ethical guidelines for research in educational environments. Your EMA must include a brief ethical statement which summarises how you maintained an ethical approach to the practitioner interview and any observations or work with children that you carried out in the educational setting. Please see this sample statement and checklist.
Select a reading
For the EMA you are required to select an appropriate peer-reviewed academic reading (e.g. journal article, academic book chapter) to support your argument. You may choose a reading that supports Part 1, Part 2 or both parts of your assignment.
Be sure to make good use of this reading in your EMA discussions (Part 1, Part 2 or both). See the EMA-specific marking criteria for more details.

Part 1: Quality education
(1000 words)
In this part of the assignment you are asked to examine the idea of quality education, using evidence from the module materials, and inferences and evidence from the interview you designed for TMA 04. Between receiving the feedback on your TMA 04 and now, you should have carried out the interview. (If for any reason this has not been possible, please contact your tutor.) Place an edited version of the interview questions used, taking into account any tutor comments you might have received from TMA 04, into an appendix labelled Appendix A at the end of your EMA document. This is not included in the word count for the assignment.
For Part 1, analyse the responses you received from your interviewee on their practice, their values and how they see the purpose of education to infer their position on what quality education is. How does this compare with your own perspective on quality education, based on your reading of this module, and your own experience and observation? Does your and/or your interviewee’s position contrast with other conceptions of quality, either overall or at the level of detail?
Support your argument by drawing on a range of evidence from Block 5 and across the module, your chosen reading (especially if you are not using it for Part 2) and any outside research you have undertaken.
Part 2: Comparative study
(1800 words)
In Part 2 of the EMA, draw on your understanding of inclusion in quality education to critically compare one aspect of inclusion in two countries. It would be beneficial to your learning if you choose at least one country that you have not used in a previous TMA, but this is not a requirement. The focus of your comparative study is educational inclusion and its relevance to educational quality, and we suggest that you choose one of the following topics:
Physical needs
Learning needs
Multilingualism
Socio-economic status
Gender
Race
Ethnicity
Religion.
You are free to choose another topic, provided you are able to find sufficient information about it within the module. If you would like to choose a different topic (for instance, sexual orientation, or parental involvement), you are strongly advised to discuss your choice with your tutor before you begin writing.
Your writing should:
consider how policy and practice relating to your topic contribute to the quality of education
consider the role of national and local policies, material circumstances, classroom practice (i.e. what really happens in classrooms), teacher knowledge and social, political and economic circumstances
reflect on what theoretical position(s) underlie or are implied by policy and practice in each location
refer to research evidence that supports or challenges the choices made by teachers and policymakers. Select module source materials, outside sources, and at least one academic, peer-reviewed journal article which is relevant to your topic. You may have already referred to/used this article while writing Part 1. Use the Open University Library Website to search for an appropriate paper.
These threads should be woven into your account of the two situations you are comparing and result in an assignment that critically and systematically analyses and evaluates your evidence.
You should focus on giving a critical account of how your chosen inclusion topic features in the education systems of two contrasting countries. You may want to give supporting examples from other countries, as a way to demonstrate, with evidence, your understanding of concepts from across the whole module

Part 3: Application of learning – next steps
(200 words)
This comprises an outline of your planned ‘next steps’ in your academic or professional career.
Take time to reflect on how your learning across the module can be applied to your next steps for either your academic or professional career. Complete the template EMA application of learning: next steps, and reflect on the questions and topics in the template.
Practical guidance
You will need to submit your EMA (Parts 1 and 2, with reference list and appendices), the Application of learning: next steps and your ‘My global journey’ document (three documents in total) in a zipped folder to the eTMA system.
EMA checklist
Document 1:
Part 1: A discussion of quality education
Part 2: Comparative study

Appendix B: Ethical statement
How your assignments will be marked
Tutors have two tasks when grading your assignments.
They grade each assignment on a 100-point scale and explain why they have given a certain grade.
They provide you with feedback that will identify any strengths and weaknesses in your work, and they suggest ways in which you could improve in your next assignment.
Your tutor will return your marked assignment via the eTMA system. You should collect your assignment and read the tutor feedback on the PT3 form and on your script. By submitting a partially completed TMA, you will forgo the opportunity to receive valuable feedback and advice from your tutor on all aspects of an assignment. Read your tutor feedback carefully and use it to inform your thinking as you plan and write your next assignment.
Grading criteria
In grading your work, your tutor will be using the generic assessment criteria  and the TMA-specific grading criteria to judge how well you have addressed each of the criteria. (For your EMA, tutors will use the EMA-specific grading criteria.) They will also use the module assessed learning outcomes to assess your work.
Word length
You should attempt to write your assignment to the required word length and you must always provide an overall word count at the end of written assignments. The length of your response may be shorter but if it is considerably shorter than the lengths shown in Table 1 it is unlikely to fulfil the objectives of the task.
For the assessments of this module, you are required to write ‘not more than’ a certain number of words, and there is no flexibility to go over this word limit. Please check carefully the word count requirements of each assessment. Your tutor has the right to stop marking once the word limit has been reached.
Word counts include:
the main text of your work
all subheadings
all in-text citations
tables
ethical statements (see ‘Ethical guidance for practice placements’).
Word counts do not include:
the reference list
diagrams
graphs/charts
photos/images
the ‘My global journey’ document you submit with each assignment.

For this case, identify the parties and the moral issue(s) at stake, concentrate on identifying the relationships among the individuals. What relationships of care need to be maintained or developed?

Description
These are two part short answers covering the questions as follow and does not need a wordcount of 550:
Part 1
For this case, identify the parties and the moral issue(s) at stake, concentrate on identifying the relationships
among the individuals. What relationships of care need to be maintained or developed?
A married couple discover that their 22-year-old daughter, a college senior, is a lesbian. They are shocked and
dismayed, for they regard this as moral degeneracy. They are thinking of refusing to attend her graduation and
refusing to welcome her in their home until she renounces this sexual preference.
Part II
Human life in terms of cycles of attachment overlap relations and cycles of relations make up who we are as
individuals. We do not get a sense of who we are by detaching ourselves from our relations with others. This
contrasts with the conception of defining the self in separation from and even opposition to others. Do you agree
with the idea that we are who we are in terms of our relations, and that we are neither independent nor separate?
Gilligan rejects Kohlberg’s assumption of a hierarchical ordering that places abstract thinking above thinking in
terms of narratives involving human relations when trying to gauge the moral development of individuals. Do
you see her critique as a strong one? And if so, what might the success of her critique suggest about employing
similar feminist approaches to other areas of the Western philosophical tradition beyond just ethics—such as
metaphysics or epistemology? These disciplines too, have tacitly assumed—at least since the Enlightenment—
that genuine insight into the nature of reality and the structure of truth is to be arrived at via a penchant for
abstract thinking, universalizable principles, and a strict adherence to rationality. For instance, how might a
feminist, or what other philosopher’s have called a “Communitarian”, approach to the metaphysical question
concerning the nature of the individual, or self—and what it means to be one—contrast with what Hobbes or
Kant took the self to be?

When the narrator omits saying things aloud and forces the reader to supply the meaning, we call it a “gap.” Choose an instance of a gap that occurs somewhere in the first six parts of the novel

English Prompt

This third assignment continues to build upon skills required for the previous ones, including careful word choice and reader-friendly prose, skillful quotation use, and detailed textual
analysis which unpacks (comments upon) quotations chosen. If any of these skills presents
problems for you, do come in and chat with me so that we can work on them as you work on this assignment. You should also generate a specific and interesting main point which unifies your essay. Try, if you can, to go beyond what we discussed in class–make your point even more specific. Remember, however, that main points are best edited after you have written the body of your essay: go back and ask yourself how the main point might be made even more specific.
And don’t forget a specific and interesting title!
When the narrator omits saying things aloud and forces the reader to supply the meaning, we call it a “gap.” Choose an instance of a gap that occurs somewhere in the first six parts of the novel (not in the Epilogue) and discuss how it works in the narrative – first respect to the immediate action happening (what is being left out, why, and how does it shape the reader’s relation to that action?). Then discuss how that gap relates to the act of confession with which Part Six ends, or to some other broader idea in the novel.

Do the osteopaths use breathing techniques and assess the breathing within their treatment?

Do the osteopaths use breathing techniques and assess the breathing within their treatment?

Assignment: Research Proposal

The Research Proposal, 3,000 words in length, must be sectioned as shown below:

  1. Title
  2. Keywords
  3. Literature review
  4. Aims and objectives of the study
  5. Literature search
  6. Osteopathic relevance
  7. Practical and ethical issues
  8. References

The proposal is assessed on the presentation and logical development of topic, the interpretation, integration and critical analysis of information, the extent and topicality of literature surveyed and the conclusions drawn from the review process. The feasibility and organisation of your proposed project should be included in section 5.

  1. Title
The title should clearly indicate the topic of your study
  2. Key Words
Please provide 2-6 key words that reflect the key elements of the article, using Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) indexed headings at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/ Key words are used to search for relevant articles through databases. Words included in the title will be searched automatically; therefore it is redundant to repeat these words. Key words should be presented below the title, in bold font and separated by semicolons and a space.
  3. Literature review
The literature review should cover an area relevant to your dissertation title. It should be general in nature and provide well-written critically appraised background information within the field of osteopathy. Present your review of relevant literature, including any data interpretation where necessary. Particular attention should be paid to any field, laboratory and theoretical studies in your chosen field. All statements should be backed-up with appropriate referencing.
Please note that source material should be carefully selected and not reproduced verbatim.
  4. Aims and objectives
The aim(s) should explain what you hope to achieve as a result of the study. These could be listed with bullet points, but carefully worded for clarity.
The objectives are more specific and explain what you intend to investigate in order to achieve the aims of your study. Essentially, the objectives are the steps to achieving your study aim.
For quantitative studies, you should then present your experimental hypothesis(es) and the Null hypothesis(es) that you are going to test.
  5. Literature search
Briefly indicate the sources of the literature cited – and approach
  6. Osteopathic relevance
Relate your study to osteopathic theory or practice
  7. Practical and ethical issues
This section should contain appropriate illustrations (e.g. flow chart, tables, diagrams, graphs) where necessary. The components of the practical issues are listed below.
Approach and methodology: Your study question needs to be suitable to be conducted through either a quantitative or a qualitative research paradigm. Within this section, you need to explain how each approach could be used and to explore relevant research methodologies under each approach. This should illustrate your understanding of both research paradigms. You need to justify your choices throughout, drawing upon appropriate literature sources to support your reasoning.
For each approach, you will need to state and briefly explain the research design chosen for your study. Please put in an argument as to why you chose the particular research design and why this is the best approach to address your study question (argument has to be balanced, reasoned and logical). This is to be followed by a paragraph (or any other means, e.g. table) stating the type(s) of data to be collected and how this data will address your stated study purpose. For the quantitative approach, you will need to identify the variables you are going to need/use to test your hypothesis(es)/Null hypothesis(es) you introduced in the aims section of the study. Explain what led to the choice of these variables and how they link to the hypothesis testing.
Furthermore, this section should include all practical and analytical methods as well as interview/questionnaire design. You also need to provide a well-reasoned justification for your choices of data analysis methods. You must clearly indicate the number of participants in the investigation, how you will collect data over a stated timetable – where appropriate, replicates and controls should be included. Throughout this section, you will need to draw upon the research methods literature to support your reasoning.

Flow chart: The flow chart shows the sequence of work you propose to carry out. Please lay out the flow chart on a single sheet of paper using text boxes and vertical plus / or horizontal arrows. Alternatively, you could present this in a Gantt chart. This chart should indicate in broad terms how you propose to utilise your time in order to achieve the project objectives
Resources required: This should set out what resources you require and how these are going to be met. It may be necessary to discuss these with your supervisor.
Ethical issues: this need to be addressed because it may influence your experimental design

  1. References:
The Harvard referencing system must be used; please see ARU guidelines for more details. Correct referencing is very important.
    Citation (in the text)
With the Harvard system, at every point in the text at which reference to a source is
made, the author’s surname (no initial) and the year of publication (all in brackets) are inserted. If the author’s name occurs naturally in the sentence, the year is given in brackets, for example :-
….has been explored in the sciences (Crane and Brogan,1992).
    .…as defined by Roberts (1996)
…. other workers disagree with these findings (Hudson, et al., 1999)
In the text, if there are two or three authors, include all. If there are four or more use ‘et al.’.

In the reference section
In the reference section, these are listed in alphabetical order (not numbered) and
subdivided if necessary by year and a letter. Note the sequence of full stops and
commas in the examples in the ARU Referencing Guide.

General points regarding referencing
It is important to use a consistent approach when referring to published material in the text and when listing references in the reference list at the end of the review. Using the Harvard system, in the text, include the names of either the single author or both authors in a joint paper. If there are more than three authors, list the first followed by et al.

References should be listed in alphabetical order (by author) in the reference list. All the names of the authors should be included – do not use ‘et al. ‘ in the reference list. You are advised to check the accuracy of your final reference list against the original papers. Do not include references, which are not referred to in the dissertation proposal.

You will be penalised for errors in referencing.

Advise Aneel on the following Commercial Law problem.

Commercial Law Problem Question.

Aneel Computers Ltd manufactures desktop computers. They supply a variety of national retailers with high specification computers. They also supply ‘Tachilles 2.0’, a computer operating system. In January 2021, Vick PC Ltd, a national retailer, contracted with Aneel for a delivery of 30,000 ‘Horsey 1200’ computers. All the computers are to be delivered to Vick’s warehouse. Half of the computers are to be loaded with Tachilles 2.0. The first shipment (half pre- loaded with Tachilles 2.0, half without operating systems) is to be delivered in March 2021; the second shipment of the remaining devices is to be delivered in July 2021. Aneel also agrees to allow Vick to have the right between March and September, to sell to its customers a ‘pin code’ which allows Vick’s customers to download Tachilles 2.0 from the internet. The contract between Aneel and Vick also contains the following terms:
‘It is a condition of this agreement that Aneel undertakes to provide ‘Horsey 1200’ computers ready for retail distribution and that 15,000 of these computers will have the Tachilles 2.0 operating system pre- installed.’
‘Aneel’s terms and conditions of business, as delivered to Vick, shall prevail. These terms and conditions of business are subject to change without notice’.
Vick receives its first shipment in March 2021. The delivery to its warehouse is accompanied by a shipment invoice, which includes the following term on the reverse:
‘No terms are implied as to the condition, fitness or operating quality of Aneel’s ‘Horsey 1200’ computers… Any loss arising from the use or re- sale of any ‘Horsey 1200’ computer is limited to £10’
A fault in the Tachilles 2.0 operating system means that some of the computers delivered to Vick do not work properly. Similarly, some of Vick’s customers, who downloaded the Tachilles 2.0 operating system using a pin code have problems with their computers due to the fault in Tachilles 2.0. Vick has been compelled to reimburse its customers for the losses arising from this defect. In addition, 75 of the computers delivered in July 2021 were not installed with Tachilles 2.0 but an older version, Tachilles 1.0.
Vick rejects the entire shipment, informing Aneel that this is within their rights. Vick also seeks to recover compensation for amounts that they have had to pay to customers who had suffered because of the faulty Tachilles 2.0 systems sold to them by Vick.
Advise Aneel.
