In the first draft, you’ll analyze and explain an argument of your choice (the Introduction paper and article are
attached. the first draft should:
Explain the argument of a text (identify premises and conclusion)
This is similar to summarizing the article, but you aren’t just describing or paraphrasing every piece of the
article step by step. Instead, you should identify the main ideas or claims in the article (the premises) and why
they are reasons to believe the conclusion or thesis (the main claim the article is trying to convince the reader is
true). Then explain these things in your own words, as if to someone thinking about these ideas for the first time.
There are multiple good ways to explain an argument. Students may focus their explanations on different parts
of the same argument and both have good papers.
In Philosophical writing, we discuss what a claim means, whether it is true, and what reasons/evidence we have
to think it is true or false. We typically do not evaluate or explain an argument based on its style, tone, or
rhetoric.
Discuss what you think about the text’s argument (explain whether you agree or disagree and why)
This should be just 1-2 paragraphs of the first draft. Most of the draft should be dedicated to explaining the
argument of the article.
Formatting:
1-2 pages. Times New Roman, 12pt, double spaced, 1 in. margins.
2 pages is the MAXIMUM. I will not read past the second page.
Your paper should be a clear, concise, and well-organized complete essay (with an introduction, conclusion,
body paragraphs, and transitions).
No use of direct quotes or outside research.
This assignment asks you to explain many things in a relatively small amount of space. The paper should be
short but dense with content. I’ve designed it this way so that you must be careful and deliberate about what you
say and how you say it.

write a research paper on a topic of their own choosing in the form of a literature review.
The Discipline Research Project (DRP) is different to all other modules studied for your degree as
it is the only module where the student develops, completes and submits their assessment
without receiving any lectures in the subject of their assessment. This approach to learning is
oen termed ‘Student Self-Directed Learning’ or ‘Student-Centred Learning’ (SCL). SCL can be
defined as learning that: ‘Provides students with flexibility in the pace, place, me and content
of their learning’. Think of SCL as: students’ acve learning + lecturer support and feedback.
SCL emphasises student responsibility. Students are encouraged to:
• plan their own learning;
• take the iniave in interacng with lecturers and other students;
• be involved in researching material for themselves;
• rely less on didacc (one way) teaching; and,
• assess their own learning.
To assist in your DRP, students are given support in two specific ways:
- Each student is allocated a DRP supervisor who provides guidance and feedback on the
development of your research. Regular communicaon with your supervisor is important and it
will be beneficial to maintain this throughout the whole trimester. - A series of lectures / workshops are delivered to address specific skills that will aid the
producon of a strong, analycal research paper that successfully addresses your chosen topic
in relaon to the idenfied goals you have set yourself. These sessions are delivered in the first
six weeks of the module.
Guidance will be provided in the me-tabled sessions and by liaison with your allocated DRP
supervisor. The DRP module requires each student to write a research paper on a topic of their
own choosing in the form of a literature review. A literature review is an objecve, crical
summary of exisng published research literature relevant to the topic under consideraon.
The approach to be adopted is: - Undertake an inial literature review in a chosen area and present a two-page research
proposal to your supervisor for comment and feedback by the end of taught week 2. - Undertake literature review using secondary data, presenng an argument based upon
findings from the literature and reflecon upon these findings; and, - Produce a 5000-word report of this knowledge and understanding of the topic in a structured
and informave manner.
Undertake data analysis using a data set provided.
Title page, table of contents and appendix do not count against your page limit.
SPSS print outputs, relevant graphs and charts required as appendix.
Tables/Figures: Should be numbered (e.g., Fig 1. Regression results) and appropriately referenced in the text, e.g., see Figure 1. Tables and charts should be placed in the text at the point you discuss them.
SPSS outputs: Direct copy-pasting SPSS outputs into text should be avoided. Raw SPSS text should be placed in the appendix and assign a name appropriately. Appendices do not count in word limit. You will undertake data analysis using a data set provided. The emphasis of the project will be on interpreting output and making managerial recommendations based on the analysis conducted. The coursework is in report format

You will be expected to identify a relevant issue in practice nursing, critically evaluate the implications for practice development and how you as a Practice Nurse can facilitate change within the general practice setting. This essay will provide you an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and to relate how health policy has been a catalyst for change in the primary care setting. You will be expected to identify a relevant issue in practice nursing and which will be focused on a subject area over the five taught days of this module, critically evaluate the implications for practice development and how you can facilitate change within the general practice setting. Detailed guidance will be provided by the module leader during the module. Detailed guidance will be provided by the module leader during the module

Point out the parts (by circling or highlighting) that are confusing to you in each picture and describe what are confusing to you.
This Redesign Clinic is worth 30 points, 10 points for each of the three questions:
Find 4 pictures of confusing showers – they can be from Internet searches or the showers you have seen and
taken pictures of. Point out the parts (by circling or highlighting) that are confusing to you in each picture and
describe what are confusing to you.
Using 1 of the 4 pictures, identify and describe 2 contributing factors to your confusion (this step is similar to
case discussion’s step 3c) (for example, the faucets did not have labels on them and the turning direction of the
handle is unclear and why they are confusing). I expect to see at least 5 sentences in your response. Be detailed
and specific and explain what contributed to the confusion.
Using the same picture, propose and describe 2 solutions to minimize the confusion (this step is similar to case
discussion’s step 3d) (for example, adding labels to the faucets and adding the turning direction to the handle and
how these will improve user experience). I expect to see at least 5 sentences in your response. Be detailed and
specific and explain what and why the solutions should minimize the confusion.
(I’m going to attach a screenshot of the full instructions because I wasn’t able to copy paste it), and I will also
attach the rubric, and two examples others students did
