Critically assess the ways in which ‘crimes of the powerful’ differ from other forms of crime.

I am writing an essay for my crimes of the powerful module which is criminology and sociology based. The
essay title is: Critically assess the ways in which ‘crimes of the powerful’ differ from other forms of crime.
For the essay structure there must be an introduction and conclusion as well as the main body of the essay.
The total word count for this essay is 3,000 words and the referencing style is Harvard. I have attached a pdf file
called ‘essay structure’, which lists some pointers our professor gave for the essay structure. Could you please
follow those pointers when writing the essay. It is very important to include critical analysis across the whole
essay. Could you please define what crimes of the powerful are and also define what other crime is in the
introduction. For the theory of crimes of the powerful you can use zemiology. Please use British spelling when
writing the essay.
I have uploaded a pdf file called ‘crimes of the powerful routledge’. Chapter 1 is extremely good in explaining
what crimes of the powerful is as it gives a very informative introduction into it. It should also help in giving
points for the content of the essay. I think this will be the most useful source for the essay so please please please
use it. All the chapters in the book are very useful.
I have also attached many pdf files of academic journals and chapters from books that will be very helpful so
you should include them in the sources.
Do try your best in writing this as this is very important for me.

Consider the nature of the possible claims a claimant may have against third parties.

Word count:1750

Question:

Where a trustee disburses trust property in breach of trust . . . it is clear that the fault lies chiefly with the trustee. However, a claimant may also wish to pursue claims against third parties who were somehow involved in the trustee’s breach of duty; those third parties may have received the misdirected property, or induced or facilitated the breach. These claims may be made in addition to claims against the “first party” wrongdoer.’ (Hanbury and Martin, Modern Equity, 21st edition, para. 25-001)

Demonstrate an understanding of natural rights, how they relate to the principle of respect, and how the flourishing of a free society is dependent upon them

Essays should be between 500-800 words and should demonstrate an understanding of natural rights, how they
relate to the principle of respect, and how the flourishing of a free society is dependent upon them. Excellent
essays will go beyond “dictionary definitions,” to express their understanding and reasoning about the
connections among these principles. Specific examples, and well-researched facts should be combined with
students’ own observations and experiences. A good essay will demonstrate how these principles are not just
abstract ideas but are part of people’s everyday actions and choices.
