Assume for purposes of this question that the indictment is legally viable, was the decision to charge Assange a sound policy one?
Remember, the length should be 4 – 6 pages, double-spaced, using ‘Times New Roman’ 12 point font. You do not need to repeat the question below, and a bibliography is not required, but if you prefer to include one that is fine. It does not count towards the page limitations, nor does a cover page. The paper should have arguments and be persuasive, regardless of the position you take. The more research and personalized view displayed and express, the better. Additionally, support it as best as possible with citations/references and incorporate footnotes.
The United States government is awaiting the extradition of Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, from the United Kingdom. Assange was originally indicted in 2019 on one-count charging he conspired with Army Pfc. Cheslea Manning to try to hack a government computer password. In 2020, a superseding indictment charged an additional eighteen counts accusing him under the Espionage Act of conspiring with Manning in 2010 to obtain and disseminate classified information. The Obama Administration had considered charging Assange but felt it was a bad idea due to First Amendment concerns that he could be considered a journalist or drafter. That decision, however, was reversed by the Trump Administration although it is said no new evidence had been learned.
Assume for purposes of this question that the indictment is legally viable, was the decision to charge Assange a sound policy one? Do you view it as a slippery slope endangering mainstream journalists who might choose to draft or report on leaked classified information? Of course, that begs the question of whether Assange or Wikileaks should be considered as representatives of the news media? Finally, do you believe Assange will receive a fair trial here in the United States, especially since there is no Public Interest defense available, and what does that look like?

Unit 7: Managing Knowledge and Learning
Unit 7 focuses on the roles and function of knowledge and learning in organisations. People are employed for what they know and what they can learn. There are many aspects to learning and knowing; each requires careful management for the sustainability of the organisation. Knowing, always an individual property, is something that organisations try to translate into an organisational property so that when and if people come and go, the knowledge that they have contributed can remain in the organisation.
Learning is also complex: organisations can learn to do better what they already do, or they can learn that they would be better doing something else altogether. Get that balance wrong and your organisation can soon be out of business! A successful manager is one who skilfully manages knowledge and learning.
Note: In the above, I give information about what is we are studying and what is our unit 7 bout.
Here important: In this discussion forum discuss the below:

Did this video prompt you to change any passwords or make any other immediate changes?
Keeping an organization’s information safe is the responsibility of every member of the organization. View the Inside the Mind of a Hacker (Links to an external site.) video from OSU’s 2020 Cybersecurity Days conference. Next, find an article (may not be one from your Prospectus) that relates to the topics discussed in the video for either A) your topic for your final paper or B) a field where you would like to work after graduation.
Briefly summarize the article. Discuss in 1-3 paragraphs what was surprising or interesting from the video and article. Are there some habits you may need to change before entering the workforce to keep you and your organization safe? Did this video prompt you to change any passwords or make any other immediate changes? (I did mid-video!)
