Based on this assumption, what must organizations do concerning the scope and charter of incident management?
With the current increase in security breaches affecting both the civilian and federal IT infrastructure, it is clear that there are no real IT solutions that can totally protect or provide a 100% defense against threats.
Based on this assumption, what must organizations do concerning the scope and charter of incident management?
What should be the responsibilities for the security manager?
What must be the real incident management objectives, metrics, and indicators for ensuring the proper security response enforcement and threat containment in the face of growing vulnerabilities?
Describe what a hate crime is.Identify and explain at least three facts found on the link about them.
Write an in-depth response to each of the questions numbered below. Number your response with the question. Each response needs to be at least four sentences in length. How does infectious disease and immunizations impact a child’s health? What concerns should parents have?
This week in our forum we are looking at things that impact the development of the child. We have two parts to our discussion.
Part one-
One of the things that impact a child’s overall development is nutrition.
Explain why nutrition is important for child development, and how it has evolved within the family unit. Apply this concept to the lifestyle of busy parents and the impact it has had on the child, and within the family. How has the food industry responded? How has our government responded? How have schools responded both with what they serve students and also what they teach students?
Part two-
How does infectious disease and immunizations impact a child’s health? What concerns should parents have? How do parents evaluate false claims, and what is the impact of false claims?
Suppose that you created an robot that was so advanced it could act independently in very complex situations. It made its own decisions and always did exactly what it wanted to do, in accordance with its programming. Would such an robot be capable of free action? Why or why not?
The assignment is to write an essay upon a philosopher that was not discussed in this course. I want you to find a historic philosopher whom you find interesting and summarize their philosophical view or a finer point of their philosophy. Do you agree with this philosopher? Why or why not? If you need help with starting research, I would look at the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (https://plato.stanford.edu/). The essay should be 3-4 pages in length (not counting sources, headings, cover page, etc.), double-spaced, 12 point Time New Roman font, and 1-inch margins all the way around. This is not going to be a long essay, so you are going to have to be parsimonious with your words.
DUE DATE: DECEMBER 6, 2017
USE TOPICS EXCEPT THIS LIST ABOVE :
- Suppose someone claimed to have a device that destroyed people’s souls, but otherwise had no discernible effect on that person. How would you evaluate such a claim? Is the claim that people have souls any more plausible? Why or why not?
- What is the purpose of consciousness? That is, why did consciousness evolve (or why was it created)
- Let’s say that someone who knows you well believes he can predict everything you do and say within a 24 hour period. Without telling you what he’s up to, he writes down his prediction in great detail. As it turns out, his predictions are correct. Does the fact that someone can accurately predict the behavior of another show that the behavior was determined? Explain.
- Suppose that you created an robot that was so advanced it could act independently in very complex situations. It made its own decisions and always did exactly what it wanted to do, in accordance with its programming. Would such an robot be capable of free action? Why or why not?
- Is resurrection a more plausible view of the afterlife than reincarnation? Why or why not?
- What does the nonbranching proposal say about split-brain patients? Are there two people present in the one body? If so, is either identical with the person who occupied the body before the operation?
- The Bible contains many commands that seem immoral to obey. For example, Numbers 31:17 and Psalms 137:9 command followers to kill the children and babies of their enemies; I Corinthians 14:34 commands women to stay silent in church. Why do we no longer follow these commands? What does this tell us about the relationship between religion and morality? Explain.
- What is our obligation to future generations? Must we take into account what our actions will do to them? Why or why not?
- Are taxes for entitlement programs, such as: welfare, Medicare, and Medicaid immoral? Why or why not?
- Suppose you are trying to make a rational choice among religions. What criteria would you use to determine which religion is best? Would those be the same criteria you would use to determine which religion is true? If not, how would they differ?
- Is faith a virtue? Why or why not?
What is needed to bring the risk to an acceptable level (risk treatment)?
Residency Project 6 – Risk Management: Assessing the Risk
Risk management is the process of discovering and assessing the risks to an organization’s operations and determining how those risks can be controlled or mitigated. This process involves discovering and understanding answers to some key questions with regard to the risk associated with an organization’s information assets.
Using your organization, or an organization you are familiar with, select an InfoSec risk in this organization in order to address the following in a 6-slide PowerPoint Presentation:
(a) Where and what is the risk (risk identification)
(b) How severe is the current level of risk (risk analysis)
(c) Is the current level of risk acceptable (risk evaluation)
(d) What is needed to bring the risk to an acceptable level (risk treatment)?
Be prepared to present your PowerPoint presentation (6 slides maximum) in no less than 15 minutes, but no more than 20 minutes.
What do you believe is the principal challenge faced by the civil engineer in meeting these needs and expectations?
With the continuing economic, technological, and societal development, the public needs and expectations for the transportation system continue to evolve and grow (In addition to technologies, the needs may also originate from factors such as public health, safety, welfare, cultural, social, environmental and economic aspects). One important component of the system is transportation and geotechnical engineering designs.
Write a 2 single-spaced statement addressing the following items: a) What do you believe is the principal challenge faced by the civil engineer in meeting these needs and expectations? b) Is this challenge a local, regional, national, or global challenge? (explain your answer). c) What fields of knowledge beyond traditional transportation engineering are needed? d) How have specific out of class, out of department, or in class/department activities or projects trained you to address the particular challenge you identified in part (a)?

Explain which additional factors should be explored in order to explain the variation in sleep.
Biddle and Hamermesh (1990) built a multiple regression model to study the tradeoff between time spent in sleeping and working and to look at other factors affecting sleep:
Sleep = β0 + β1 totwrk + β2 educ + β3 age + ε
where sleep and totwrk (total work) are measured in minutes per week and educ and age are measured in years. Suppose the following equation is estimated:
Sleep = 3500 – 0.15 totwrk – 11.20 educ + 2.29 age + ε
Discuss what would happen to someone’s sleep if they choose to work more.
Analyze whether the factors of totwrk, educ, and age are enough factors to explain the variation in sleep. Explain which additional factors should be explored in order to explain the variation in sleep. Provide your reasoning.
Find an egregious data integrity violation and discuss why it is so dangerous.
The CIA triad represents a way to differentiate among different sorts of cyber threats. We are all familiar with the ‘C’ type threats where personal information is stolen and often released – the Experian breach, for example. However, ‘I’ type breaches, where data is altered by hackers, competitors, military, governments, etc. may be far more pernicious. Consider industrial espionage, military battlefield data, research data, etc. Find an egregious data integrity violation and discuss why it is so dangerous.Using your own words, write at least 750 words in five paragraph format. Include 3 quotes with quotation marks and in-line citations from 3 different sources. Cite your sources in-line and in a reference list at the end. Provide proper attribution. Include a meaningful title.Kindly follow attached Rubric, Please do not copy without providing proper attribution. This paper will be evaluated through SafeAssign.please write in APA format
do men and women behave differently when it comes to health?
“Women are sicker; men die quicker.” This familiar quotation suggests that there are gender-related differences related to health. For purposes of this Application, gender-related issues are grouped in three categories: 1) morbidity and mortality rates, 2) health-related behaviors, and 3) treatment by gender by the health care system.A quick review of health statistics shows that the morbidity (sickness) and mortality (death) rates for specific diseases and other health issues (e.g., violence, mental health problems, homicide) are different for men and women. For example, men are diagnosed with and die from specific cancers (such as, lung cancer and colon cancer) at a higher rate than women. Women are diagnosed with breast cancer at higher rates than men (though more than 2,600 men each year are diagnosed with breast cancer.) When looking at mental health problems, antisocial and avoidant behaviors are more common in men, while borderline disorder, histrionic disorder, and depression are more often seen in women. While this difference in disease and disorder prevalence and mortality is interesting, it would be useful to know why there are differences between men and women.Another area to consider when looking at health and gender is behavior. That is, do men and women behave differently when it comes to health? And what about the “behavior” of the health care system when it comes to gender. Does it treat men and women differently?Health-related behaviors fall into two basic categories: preventative behaviors and direct health-related behaviors. For example, seeing a physician for an annual check-up and health screening, eating well, exercising, and maintaining low stress levels are preventative behaviors. Engaging in high risk sports and other activities, smoking, working in a dangerous job, and the like are direct health-related behaviors. The reality is that men and women behave differently when it comes to health.A third health-related factor that may come into play when questioning the gender differences in health issues is how the health care system treats men and women. For example, men and women are screened differently, diagnosed differently, and treated differently for many health problems. There may also be gender bias in the diagnostic tools used for mental health disorders. To fully understand the gender-related differences in physical and mental health, it is useful to analyze a specific health issue in depth. What are the differences, why are there differences, and what is the impact of these differences? These are common questions in the area of psychology of gender. To prepare for this assignment:The assignment (3–5 pages):https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4460297/
In what specific ways did FASB Concept Statement 6 affect the FASB’s evaluation of these alternatives?
Prior to beginning work on this discussion forum, review Chapters 3 and 4 of the text and read the article Summary of Statement No. 160: Noncontrolling Interests in Consolidated Financial Statements—An Amendment of ARB No. 51 (Links to an external site.).Write: Make sure your response addressing the following questions is more than 200 words and that you include a brief paraphrase or direct quote from the reading material where appropriate. Include proper in-text citations for each paraphrase or direct quote as shown in the UAGC Writing Center’s Citing Within Your Paper (Links to an external site.) guide.Discussion QuestionsThe FASB ASC paragraph 810-10-45-16 states, “The non-controlling interest shall be reported in the consolidated statement of financial position within equity, separately from the parent’s equity. That amount shall be clearly identified and labeled, for example, as non-controlling interest in subsidiaries.”However, prior to issuing this current reporting requirement, the FASB considered several alternative display formats for the non-controlling interest. Access the pre-codification standard, SFAS 160, titled “Non-controlling Interest in Consolidated Financial Statements,” at the FASB (Links to an external site.) website to answer the following questions:In what specific ways did FASB Concept Statement 6 affect the FASB’s evaluation of these alternatives?
