at the end of Module Six, so try to provide responses early in the module.

Identify your strengths and weaknesses and explain how they influence your test-taking ability.

Overview: Journal assignments in this course are private between you and the instructor. In this journal, you will have the opportunity to develop an exam
preparation roadmap that you can revisit and use when studying for the PMPⓇ exam. Consider the ideas that were discussed in your study group while
completing this assignment. In addition, consider the layout and information that is presented in the PMBOK® Guide to help you frame your own individual
roadmap.
Note: Refer to the conversation points from your small group to assist you in constructing this assignment.
Prompt: This assignment should include the following critical elements:
● Identify key resources that will be useful during your exam preparation, and explain the resources you list.
● Discuss your study schedule, which details the amount of time and the location you plan to devote to studying.
● Identify your strengths and weaknesses and explain how they influence your test-taking ability.
● Describe solutions that will improve your test-taking skills. How do they relate to preparing for the PMPⓇexam?

Describe three key attributes that make the organization an attractive investment opportunity for potential buyers.

Overview
As part of the contingency planning for your organization’s exit strategy, you have researched and analyzed a potential alternative
buyer. As the possibility increases that the original buyer will withdraw from the deal, your VP has asked you to create a short
investor pitch to help convince the alternative buyer to acquire the organization.
Prompt
Record a short investor pitch video that highlights why the identified alternative buyer should be interested in buying the
organization in the case scenario. Your video should include a PowerPoint presentation that uses data and visuals you have created
in earlier modules to support your pitch.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

  1. Overview: Using relevant information and research completed in previous module assignments, provide a brief overview that
addresses the following information (slides 1–3):
    a. An overview of the organization; include location, size, and market position compared with other competitors in the
    industry.
    b. An appropriate reason why the organization’s owners want to sell; you may consider factors such as value creation,
competition, synergy, and product diversification to justify your answer. Also, consider the information you obtained
from the top competitors’ analyses in previous assignments.
  2. Important Attributes: Describe three key attributes that make the organization an attractive investment opportunity for potential buyers. (slides 4–5)
  3. Advantages of Acquisition: Identify two specific advantages the alternative buyer will gain by acquiring the organization and
    provide a rationale. (slides 6–7)
    a. Use your research and analysis from Milestone Three to identify advantages specific to the potential buyer
    organization.
    Guidelines for Submission
Using Bongo, record a video that is 3–5 minutes long.
If you are not able to record a video, you should reach out to your instructor and discuss submitting the assignment in an alternative
    format.
Develop a 1-p summary that encapsulates the three most powerful ideas about policy evaluation that you have harvested from this course.

what positive measures should organizations take to ensure that employees are prepared to take on the day-to-day human relations communication challenges associated with working as the member of a team?

Discussions:  The days of working on an individual basis in the workplace are over. Positions that are not involved in a team, committee, or work group at some point during the year are extremely rare. Unless formal training is provided for a team, it is common to find dysfunction within a team.

Based on your readings this week (see Content – Week 6 – Reading and Resources), what positive measures should organizations take to ensure that employees are prepared to take on the day-to-day human relations communication challenges associated with working as the member of a team? Be creative in your answer!

You may find appropriate articles at the end of each chapter, and/or identify articles through the APUS online Library. Finally, be sure that all discussions are answered in full, in order to ensure the best possible grade based on the work submitted.

Describe how the Estée Lauder report uses data and other information.

Overview

Business reports often communicate an analysis of a scenario or aspect of a business in relation to a strategic goal or need. These types of reports can include the status of the organization, stakeholder summaries, market trends, and financial statements. The main goal of business reports is to help leaders in developing strategies and making decisions or recommendations for the improvement of business. Additionally, business reports may also provide analysis of potential worst-case scenarios, solutions to issues currently faced by an organization, and a review of best practices and analogous situations faced by similar organizations.

Prompt

For this assignment, you will take on the role of a business manager who is in the planning phase of building a stakeholder summary report. You need an example from an organization in the same industry to get ideas and structure your report in the best way possible. You have identified the following report as a potential model:

Review the report and think about what story it tells you based on the numbers and visualizations provided. Address the following questions in your post. Make sure to use evidence to support your responses.

Content

  • How does it use specific contexts, terms, and figures?

Presentation

  • How does the overall look of the presentation appeal to readers?

Please answer the following questions in your response in order.

Describe how the Estée Lauder report uses data and other information. What data is used in the report? How does it use specific terms and figures? Your response should be 100–200 words.

What data visualizations are provided in the report? How do the data visualizations help convey information that is both useful and easy to understand? Your response should be 100–200 words.

Explain how the report is organized. Does it start with a general introductory paragraph? Does it pull the reader in with a surprising bit of news? How is the report divided up? What ideas about structure might you adopt for your report? Your response should be 50–100 words.

Explain how the report makes use of images that are unrelated to data. Do the images illustrate points effectively, or are they merely decorative? Why do you think the report does or does not use images effectively? What ideas about using images might you borrow for your own report? Your response should be 50–100 words.

Assess the effectiveness of the report. How does the overall presentation appeal to readers? How does the report meet (or not meet) its objective? What do you think are the report’s best qualities, and what aspects might you improve on in your own stakeholder report? Your response should be 100–200 words.

Identify who benefits from this product in both the company and the community.

Competency

In this project, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following competency:

  • Communicate professionally to diverse internal and external audiences

Scenario

Your presentation to stakeholders was wildly successful and the company has determined that it is in their best interest to move forward with the diversification strategy you recommended. Since you did so well with the presentation, you have been asked by company leadership to prepare a draft of the press release that will go out to announce this new strategy. Your press release is meant for the external audience that was not represented at the all-stakeholder meeting: a group that includes customers, vendors, suppliers, and the general community.

Directions

Complete the Project Four Worksheet in your Soomo webtext and submit it for instructor feedback.

Using the template provided in the supporting materials section below, draft a press release that reflects your company’s new venture and how it affects the general external audience. Your press release should address the following rubric criteria:

  • Address the key points appropriate for external audiences.
  • Summarize the diversification decision.
  • Explain why the decision was made.
  • Explain where in the marketplace the new products are launching.
  • Identify who benefits from this product in both the company and the community.

What to Submit

To complete this project, you must submit your completed press release template of 1 to 2 pages using the provided templates, or the document you downloaded from Soomo. Sources should be cited according to APA style.

Supporting Materials

The following resources support your work on the project:

Identify some of the major issues facing the United States Correctional System today.

Utilizing the article you researched for this week, information from your textbook, class discussions throughout the semester, and any other information or resource you’d like to pull in, write a two-page on the following topic:

Identify some of the major issues facing the United States Correctional System today.  You may cover anything we’ve discussed over the course of the semester that we have defined as a “problem” in our correctional system.  Specifically discuss the factors that lead to widespread feelings of frustration and futility with the system, on the part of offenders, correctional employees and administrators, victims, families, or any other “group” whose association or relationship to the correctional system is affected by its present function in this country.  Then articulate your vision for “correcting” or reforming some of the problems with the system.
