For this discussion you should begin by interviewing an older child or teenager (if you don’t have access to a person in this age range, you can work with an adult) about Kohlberg’s “Heinz & the Drug” dilemma found on pages 389 & 90 in Levine & Munsch. Specifically, read the dilemma to the person you are interviewing and carefully record his/her response. Then using the chart on page 390 and the discussion on pages 389 to 391, determine what level the response corresponds to.
In your discussion post, (1) briefly describe how the person you interviewed responded to the Heinz dilemma; (2) Discuss how you rated this response and why and (3) Explain whether you feel Kohlberg’s approach is an accurate way to measure moral judgment and why. Please do not use the real name of the person you interviewed in your response. Instead use a general description such as “For this assignment, I interviewed an 11 year-old female about the Heinz dilemma.
