Presentation punishment, also known as positive punishment, involves presenting an aversive stimulus after a behavior has occurred. The objective is to apply a negative outcome in response to an undesirable outcome. The hope is that the experience of the outcome will cause the individual to avoid the behavior in the future. There are various types of presentation punishment, some more controversial than others.
For this Assignment, you will review a case study in which a controversial form of presentation punishment is considered.
