ow does rambunctious behavior in a child differ from behavior seen in a child with ADHD of the combined type?
“Challenges in Childhood Learning”
Let’s consider: Read Chapter 13, pages 381-419 in preparation for this week’s discussion.
Have you seen the movie Temple Grandin? Dr. Grandin’s story is a fascinating and inspiring one. She is now a successful adult who has lived with autism all of her life and who grew up in an era when little was known about how to “treat” the disorder or help educate the learner. You may want to view this week’s movie moment about Temple Grandin in preparation for this discussion question.
There are two videos there. One is a full lecture; the other is a shorter interview. There is also a recent movie, now available on DVD that has been made with actress Claire Danes playing the role of Temple. I highly recommend the movie especially if you have a child with a learning disability.
Let’s discuss: In your initial post, consider and answer these questions:
How does rambunctious behavior in a child differ from behavior seen in a child with ADHD of the combined type?
Are any symptoms of ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, or conduct disorder perhaps “normal” for kids?
Would you punish a misbehaving child who has a developmental disorder such as Aspergers or autism the same as you would as a “normal” functioning child with misbehavior?
Dr. Grandin talks about the kind of discipline she received as a child in her talks. What do you think?
** Be sure to use in-text citations and cite at least one additional resource besides your textbook in your initial post. Don’t forget to type your resource citations at the end of your post as well.

Identify at least 2 barriers to accessing telehealthIn a population.
telehealth.docx
Applying evidence to improve complex systems of health care for diverse populations at a community health facility. You have noticed a trend in which there is a high rate of patients who dont show up for their appointments. Despite making reminder calls the day before, patients are still missing their appointments. During your problem-solving efforts, you begin to investigate more closely and discover that a large portion of the patients lack access to transportation. As a result, many have missed their appointments, which meant they havent updated their physician on important changes in their health, havent been able to get directions on adjusting their medications based on the changes, etc.
You have determined that telehealth would be a good solution to this problem so people who have difficulty coming to the clinic in person can still have access to care.
Review the Grading Rubric and use it to organize your assignment.

Scenario:As a third-year teacher, you have become increasingly involved in community events, such as volunteering in a soup kitchen. Recently, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Rodriguez, invited you to give a talk to local business leaders about the benefits for everyone when businesses create a culture that helps families work and care well for their children. During your talk, you decide to present a poster that outlines the benefits of family-friendly policies for businesses. You have been presented an outstanding opportunity to serve as a graduate student intern for the chief executive officer (CEO) of a large HCO. The HCO is an HMO model and originated approximately a century ago as a small rural hospital. Due to the rural setting, the HMO model flourished and, over the years, expanded throughout the region. Today, the HMO has a presence in over eighteen counties and has a number of competing interests from for-profit and not-for-profit HCOs in the region. The board of directors recently approved the acquisition of two regional hospitals. First, the HCO decided to acquire a small rural critical-care-access hospital in a relatively remote county. The interest in acquiring the hospital is to service the existing population and expand the reach of the HMO. Second, the HCO decided to acquire a private full-service hospital in a moderate-size city (population forty-two thousand). The HCO’s move is strategic in nature, preventing the sale of the hospital to its for-profit competitor, and will gain the region its sole emergency department level 2 (two) trauma center with helicopter transport while giving the HCO the ability to service its growing HMO membership in the area. Based on the above information: · Evaluate the various HMO models (staff, group, and network) and identify the model that would probably be best suited for the region. Justify your answer. · Research and comment on the importance and applicability of the various levels of emergency department trauma care. Investigate the exemptions afforded to a critical care rural hospital with respect to Medicare reimbursement and accreditation.

Community library
You recently got a job offer from a local community library. The manager asks you to develop a database system to track customers and books they check out.
Task 1
Your initial assignment is to create a table for customers. The manager tells you that this table needs to track the following information: all customers’ social security number, first and last name, address, city, state and zip code, email, phone number, birth date, and date of applying for a library card. Your task is to first “sketch” a customer table (basically what data items or columns should be included in the table) using the Customer_information table at background section as an example. Your table should contain the following:
Column heading include all the attributes that need to be in this table.
Populate the table with five records of data
Task 2
Your next task is to design one more table: Customer checkout table to track the books and CDs that the customer has checked out from the library. Customers and Customer Checkout table are related to one another.
The Customer table contains the basic data on each customer and the primary key is customer number. There is one row for each customer.
The Customer Checkout table contains the data for each book. The primary key consists of two pieces of data: Checkout number and customer number. One customer can check out 1 or more books/CDs at a time, but only one customer on a check out order.
Use the templates below to design the two tables.
