EDMG230 – Mock Incident Response Plan – Powerpoint Presentation
This assignment is your opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of the material we have covered during the course. For this project students will come up with a fictitious incident response plan and develop a Powerpoint presentation containing a minimum of 10 slides.

Develop a response plan for a mock incident involving a facility or location in your community. This is a single incident of your choosing, such as a fire, active shooter, natural disaster, etc. We are looking for you to simulate an incident response and use your project as an opportunity to demonstrate what you have learned about the incident command process during the course. The Powerpoint presentation should contain the following slides:
ú Slide 1 – Title Page
ú Slide 2 – Overview of the Incident
ú Slides 3 – 9 – Comprehensive Response Plan
ú Last slide – References
ú Decide who will be the Incident Commander (IC). Or you could choose a Unified Command (UC). Develop the five ICS functional areas and specific responsibilities for each area pertaining to your incident. A completely developed and detailed Incident Action Plan (IAP) should be included as part of your presentation. You should also include maps, images as well as the completed ICS Forms (excel file) we worked on during the Week 6 Forum.
ú You should use a minimum of three sources to support your plan. These sources may include applicable federal, state, or local laws, as well as research or other sources relevant to your plan.
ú Your powerpoint presentation should contain a minimum of 10 slides, including your title and reference slides. All sources used must be properly cited. Your references should be formatted in APA style.
ú External research will generally be required in addition to the assigned readings. Please create your final project in Microsoft Powerpoint, and upload as an attachment for submission.
ú Use the following file name example when uploading your Powerpoint document as an attachment: YourlastnameEDMG230.pptx

Party 1  Please respond to the following prompt in no less than 5 paragraphs . In your response, you must fully answer all aspects of the question and support your answer with reference to course materials (textbook, supplementary readings, videos, etc). What are some of the real-world social contexts (relationships, groups, institutions, etc.) in which primary and secondary socialization take place? Who are the significant others – i.e., people whose guidance, example, or judgment matters – in these contexts? What do you think are the roles these two different forms of socialization play in a person’s development over a lifetime? Please choose one of the following prompts and respond to it in no less than 5 paragraphs. In your response, you must fully answer all aspects of the question and support your answer with reference to course materials (textbook, supplementary readings, videos, etc).Choose a social group that was once considered “deviant,” but is now considered more acceptable in our society. How did this group migrate from deviance to normality? How was that change possible, given what you now know about theories of culture, meaning, deviance, etc.?Choose a social group that is currently struggling against a deviant label. What actions does this group engage in that society considers deviant? Why does society have an interest (or at least think it has an interest) in informally or formally sanctioning those actions? Are there any social factors that have pressured that group to engage in the actions in question?

What other benefits might come from a qualitative design in program evaluation? What challenges might occur?

According to Patton (2003), some grant reviewers note that they like to see a qualitative element even if the overall design of the program evaluation is quantitative; it can ?personalize and humanize evaluation.? What other benefits might come from a qualitative design in program evaluation? What challenges might occur? In this Discussion, you explore the impact that qualitative methods might have on your program evaluation. To prepare:Review the Patton reading, ?Qualitative Evaluation Checklist,? from this week?s Learning Resources. From the articles in the Learning Resources, select and review at least one article from each type of evaluation design (process evaluation, case study, monitoring program activities), for a total of at least three articles.Pay attention to why and how these types of evaluations were conducted. How did they serve the needs and goals of program evaluation? What is different about these three types of evaluations? What are some special challenges for conducting each type?By Day 3Post your comprehensive response to each of the following:Briefly restate the purpose of your program evaluation.Select one of the three methods applied in the articles you have reviewed.Using the general situation presented in your RFP (e.g., a school anti-bullying program), describe a situation where the method you selected would be appropriate to the questions and planned uses of the information, as well as other considerations raised by Patton (see Patton?s checklist). Why would this method be appropriate in this situation? List the reasons.Explain the strengths and limitations that might happen in a program evaluation that includes qualitative design elements. What are some of your thoughts for how you would design this kind of evaluation for this kind of situation? (If your RFP already involves one of these three types, e.g., a process evaluation, select another type for this application question.)

What are some things you can do to improve your intelligence? Why do you believe these things will improve your intelligence?

I.Q. (intelligence quotient): In general, it is an assessment of your ability to think and reason. An IQ score is a standardized way of comparing this ability with the majority of people the same age as you. A score of 100 means that compared to these people in your general age group, you have basically an average intelligence. Most psychologists would say those scoring in a range of 95 to 105 are of normal intelligence or have an average IQ. The actual IQ score may vary plus or minus five points since it is very difficult to get an IQ score with complete accuracy.Take an IQ test; there are many available for free online, such as The Free IQ Test. While you are taking it, try to notice the questions and how you are being tested. For this assignment, write a 2-page double-spaced paper:Share your results if you feel comfortable. Do you believe it truly reflects your intelligence? What are some things you can do to improve your intelligence? Why do you believe these things will improve your intelligence? Cite from your unit readings and/or outsides resources to support your statements about ways to improve your intelligence. Many argue that IQ tests only measure analytical intelligence, but other researchers have argued that there is more than one type of intelligence. Sternberg proposed a triarchic theory of intelligence, and Gardner proposed 8 specific bits of intelligence. What do you think is the best model for measuring intelligence, and why?

Identify and define a delay/disorder that impacts speech and language development. Discuss the key characteristics of the delay/disorder.

For the final project, you will be researching a cognitive, genetic or biological delay, or a
specific disorder and its impact on language development.
Your assignment this week is to choose a research topic for your project that is most
interesting to you and provide the following information:

? Identify and define a delay/disorder that impacts speech and
language development. Discuss the key characteristics of the delay/disorder.
? Explain why you selected this area of study.
? Share what you hope to learn in your examination of this topic.

social communication disorder), Aspergers Syndrome, Dyslexia, Hearing Impairment,
Down Syndrome, or Williams Syndrome.

Guidelines:
? One page minimum, not counting a cover page and any references used in

your initial exploration of the topic.
? Employ 6th edition APA Style Formatting

o Typed, double spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font
o Cover page and (if necessary) Reference page

? Add as many sections as needed, but should include at minimum:
