Understandable Statistics Concepts and Methods Questions

I’m stuck on a Mathematics question and need an explanation. 1. What does it mean to say that we are going to use a sample to draw an inference about a population? Why is a random sample so important for this process? If we wanted a random sample of students in the cafeteria, why couldn’t we just choose the students who order Diet Pepsi with their lunch? Comment on the statement, “A random sample is like a miniature population, whereas samples that are not random are likely to be biased.” Why would the students who order Diet Pepsi with lunch not be a random sample of students in the cafeteria?2. In your own words, explain the differences among the following sampling techniques: simple random sample, stratified sample, systematic sample, clus-ter sample, multistage sample, and convenience sample. Describe situations in which each type might be useful.(Brase 36)3. What do we mean when we say a histogram is skewed to the left? to the right? What is a bimodal histogram? Discuss the following statement: “A bimodal histogram usually results if we draw a sample from two populations at once.” Suppose you took a sample of weights of college football players and with this sample you included weights of cheerleaders. Do you think a histogram made from the combined weights would be bimodal? Explain.(Brase 84)Brase, Charles H., Corrinne Brase. Understandable Statistics: Concepts and Methods, 12th Edition. Making Sense of Implementation Theories Discussion

Please respond with a paragraph to the following question, add citations and references:One change theory is Lewin’s three stage change model that includes: unfreezing, moving and refreezing. When unfreezing one recognizes the need for change, moving is when the change occurs, and refreezing is when balance is established, and the results are satisfying (Nilsen, 2015). Another theory is the Lippett’s seven phase theory. Phase one diagnosis a problem, assess motivation and capacity for change, evaluate change agent’s motivation and resources, choose a role for change agent, maintain different and terminate the relationship.Lippet’s theories is more comparable to the nursing process and used more by my mentor. He explained that there is not a huge difference between the two theories, however nursing in general is much bigger that three steps. Critical care nursing is complex with multiple levels. In the EBP project that we are working on we will use this theory, for example when a patient is admitted to ICU and have the urgent need for multiple pressers and fluid resuscitation they will need a CVC. When a patient is administered pressers such as Levophed a CVC is required. So, it’s a long process from getting a consent, to educating the patient, family and staff from the insertion to when the catheter is discontinued. Every person involved in this patient’s care is held accountable for the maintenance of this CVC, especially the nursing staff.Reference:Nilsen, P. (2015). Textile Manufacturer Discussion

A textile manufacturer is closing its North Carolina plant and moving the production of its products to a developing nation in Southeast Asia. The primary reason for the move is because the lower labor cost will allow the organization to benefit from the new location. Proponents of the decision laud the move as a means to save the organization by taking advantage of the free market and finding cheaper methods of producing the company’s goods. Opponents of the decision state that a trust existed between the company and the employees and that a breach of trust will occur due to this decision. Additionally, opponents cite recent findings that contractors in the Southeast Asia region, where the company is moving, have been cited for utilizing child labor and failing to provide working conditions equivalent to those in the United States. Officials in the Southeast Asia region have answered the criticisms of the use of child labor by pointing out that oftentimes children are the only individuals in a family who are capable of working, and to deny them that opportunity would create even greater hardships on the already desperately poor population. Next, review the article by Peslak (2005), and reflect on what you have learned about deontological (actions focused) and teleological (consequences focused) frameworks.Peslak, A. R. (2005). AFIS Standards Questions

I’m working on a Writing question and need guidance to help me study. watch two video clips and answer a few questions related to each clip: Watch the above clip and answer the following questions: 1 – What is the purpose of the initial crime scene walk-through   2 – What will be done after videotaping the crime scene 3 – What type of containers were used to collect the evidence4 – What material was used to collect fingerprints.—————————————————————————— Watch the above clip and answer the following questions:1 – Describe the advantages of using an “in house” crime processing forensic laboratory.2 – At the crime scene, what does the latent print unit use to develop a print?3 – What substance was used at the forensic laboratory to develop the fingerprint that was obtained from the crime scene?4 – Describe what “AFIS” stands for and what the role of the latent print examiner is after a fingerprint is submitted in AFIS.

Customer Loyalty and Value Discussion

I need support with this Marketing question so I can learn better. Are you familiar with Dutch Bros Coffee? I would like the post about that. After reviewing the resources on Dunkin Donuts and its marketing across digital channels (social media, websites, email, apps, etc.), choose a brand that you are loyal to and analyze its use of digital platforms, including email marketing, mobile apps, and social media. What platform(s) do you find most effective in reaching you as a consumer? What is least effective? Why do you think this is the case? What impact did that have on your relationship with that business?

The English Language Today Discussion

I’m trying to study for my Writing course and I need some help to understand this question. Question: In this, our final Reading Reflection, please consider the two essays assigned for Monday, “Nobody Mean More to Me than You and the Future Life of Willie Jordan,” and “Thank You, Esther Forbes,” and Wednesday’s reading, “The Elements of Bureaucratic Style,” in context with our ongoing discussions about language. What do they suggest to you about the importance of your own linguistic choices?  What did they suggest about how language is legitimized? Week 3 Basic Marketing Research Discussion

CHALLENGE: If you can show me one U.N. member country (there are about 204 of them) that has a ‘FREE MARKET’ SYSTEM, which I define here are as having NO RULES, NO REGULATIONS AND NO LAWS IMPACTING DOING BUSINESS, then I’ll give you a 5/5 on this DB. Simply name that country, but don’t waste my time on stuff you haven’t adequately researched. If I can find rules, regulations and laws – you get a 2/5 for being wrong. If there are no ‘free market’ countries – and there aren’t – THEN IN THIS WEEK’S DISCUSSION BOARD PLEASE RESEARCH AND DISCUSS SOME MAJOR RULES, REGULATIONS AND LAWS THAT IMPACT DOING BUSINESS FOR THE FIRM THAT YOU SELECTED FOR YOUR INDIVIDUAL PROJECT (The same Harvard case that your group PAPER is on).DISCUSS HOW THOSE SPECIFIC RULES, REGULATIONS AND LAWS SHAPE AND IMPACT STRATEGY FOR YOUR FIRM. This is a valuable compare and contrast DB exercise – so please put some serious brain power into it – because different groups are doing different firms.
