How Gender Impacts Leadership in Organizational Arenas Discussion

Once you have developed your research problem, the research purpose and research question become self-evident.What also becomes evident is your position with respect to the topic, the question, and what you hope to find. Qualitative research recognizes that the research “space” is shaped by both the participants and the researcher.… the identities of both researcher and participants have the potential to impact the research process. Identities come into play via our perceptions, not only of others, but of the ways in which we expect others will perceive us. Our own biases shape the research process, serving as checkpoints along the way. Through recognition of our biases, we presume to gain insights into how we might approach a research setting, members of particular groups, and how we might seek to engage with participants (Bourke, 2014, p. 1). For this Discussion, you will examine a research question based on the purpose for inquiry, a rationale for the study, and issues of positionality.Consider the research topic you are developing for your Major Assignment 1.Review Chapter 3 of the Ravitch and Carl text and use Table 3.1, page 69 to help you create a rationale using the questions as your guide.Review Chapter 3 of the Ravitch and Carl text and specifically use pages 70–76 to create a positionality memo to reflect on your relationship to the topic.Review the Fundamentals of Qualitative Research Methods: Developing a Qualitative Research Question media program as a guideline to help you create a research question.Yale University. Sampling Method Suitable for A Research Discussion Response

Respond to the discussion below:The right sampling of a population is crucial in research.  Researchers have to define precisely the appropriate criteria to determine the population of study.  For example studying ventilated patients, the criteria should defined if acute or chronic patients will be studied.  If chronic, how many days or months on a ventilator.  By refining the criteria it make a list of what is allowed to be included in the research and what is to be excluded from effecting the outcome the research.  The purpose of the sampling is to be able to pull a portion to represent the whole population being studied.  Carl Thompson, RN, PhD stated, “researchers must choose their sampling carefully to minimize bias” and “the ideal study sample represents the total population from which the sample was drawn” (If you could just provide me with a sample: examining sampling in qualitative and quantitative research papers, retrieved from With proper representation of the whole population,it increases the validity of the research results.  It allows  the results to be used for generalization of the total population.  In order for research to ultimately become evidence base practice in nursing, sampling is key.  The well defined sampling of the population allows the change proposed to being determined new practice, will be successful in the whole population applied to.

Marketing Sport Equipment & Increasing the Company Market Essay

Marketing Sports Equipment The purpose of this assignment is for you to propose a sales promotion based   on what you know about the product and the target market. For this assignment,   read Case 2 that is titled “Marketing Sports Equipment” on page 362 of your   textbook. After reading and studying the details of the case, respond to the   following questions with thorough explanations and well-supported  rationale: Academy Sports + Outdoors offers products that would appeal to a variety       of target markets. Identify a minimum of three target market groups using   the     following denotations: TM1: xxx, TM2: xxx, and TM3: xxx. Remember to   think     about demographic, behavioral, psychographic, and geographic   criteria when     defining each target market. For each of the target markets identified in question #1, what two types       of consumer sales promotions (discussed in Chapter 12) should Academy Sports   +     Outdoors offer? Explain. Looking at each target market you proposed in question #1, what are two       types of media that might be the most effective in reaching each of the   target     markets? Which two might not be as effective? Include your   rationale. The case states that Academy Sports + Outdoors receives a high volume of       requests for sponsorship activities. Based upon the target markets you       identified, what sponsors would you recommend that the company partner       with?

Risk Assessment in Information Security Discussion Response

reply to discussion post below:I have decided to focus on the subject matter of risk assessment with a particular focus on information security. Risk assessment basically describes the information security risk present or potential and enables organizations to prioritize risks according to their seriousness. It determines the value of an information assets, identifies the applicable threats and vulnerabilities that exist or could exist, identifies the existing controls and their effect on the risks identified, determines the potential consequences and finally prioritizes them. This is necessary in identifying organizational needs regarding information security requirements and to create an effective countermeasures. Every organization is different and therefore, it is important that countermeasures should be aligned with organization’s environment and specifically its enterprise risk management (Rausand, 2013). The security effort should address risks in an effective and timely manner where and when they are needed. Therefore, risk assessment is the first process in any information security risk management program helps identify the relevant risks and the appropriate controls for reducing or eliminating these identified risks.Vulnerabilities and new threats to IT security come up all the time and companies need to proactively find vulnerabilities and be aware of new threats if they want to keep up with evolving risks. Time-sensitive risks may need immediate action and paper-based IT risk assessments will not be enough to handle threats in a timely manner.

Edu 560 politics and education | EDU 561 | Strayer University

There are a plethora of federal, state, and local policies that impact education as we know it, creating a rather complex system of moving parts. A good example of this impact can be seen in how COVID-19 policies constantly changed over the pandemic, impacting how students received their education on the federal and local levels.
For this assignment, you are going to act as an administrator dealing with a sudden shift to online education. Discuss the political factors that influence changes in education at the local level that will affect how you handle the situation.

Evaluate your local school’s performance and how the data impacts future school board policy.

Check with your state’s Department of Education for data such as reading and math performance, attendance, discipline, and overall school climate.

Analyze two political factors, one positive and one negative, influencing equitable change on local K-12 school campuses.

Be sure to include a brief summary of each factor.
Consider how this level addresses lesson plan reviews and observation.

Analyze two political factors, one positive and one negative, influencing equitable change in the Higher Education institutions in your state.

Be sure to include a brief summary of each factor.
Consider how this level addresses attendance (for Federal-aid purposes), drop/add class periods, grade reporting, and syllabi evaluation.
This political factor should be different than the ones used for the K-12 campuses.

BUS 401 A1BTC Money Laundering and Crypto Currency Research Paper

Thanks The table of contents is a very good start but do take out the bold.In regard to the paper, I am not sure where you are with it. Is this the beginning or end-point of the research and writing? Regardless, I suggest that you copy and paste into your paper the actual statutory provisions of the law of Taiwan and the proposed Russian law. Are you able to critique those provisions? Has anyone made a serious review and critique of them? What are the issues involved?Do you want to compare Taiwan and Russia with other nations’ provisions? I am not trying to make your paper a burden. The length of your paper is not an issue. You have already said enough about the ill effects of money laundering, fraud, tax evasion and terrorist financing. I think what is interesting is the issue of legal regulation of these new tech markets and the pluses and minuses in the legal responses. I also recommend that you go into LEXIS and/or WESTLAW and go into their law review libraries and look for law reviews’ articles and journal articles that focus on these issues. The articles would be valuable for your research.SAMPLE TABLE OF CONTENT BUT MATCH MINE TO THE PAPER THIS IS ANOTHER’S STUDENT’S TABLE OF CONTENT OUR PAPERS ARE VERY DIFFERENT JUST USE THIS AS AN EXAMPLE TO GO BYTable of ContentsIntroductionDiscussionAnalysisConclusionsRecommendationsFuture Areas of ResearchBibliography

Countermeasures in The Risk Assessment Process Discussion Response

respond to discussion post below:Great essay! I wanted to delve a little more into risk management countermeasures. We already know that countermeasures are actions taken to either reduce the threat of risk or mitigate risk when a threat actually happens. More specifically, however, there are also different types of countermeasures (in the security world) that need to be considered. While some might work in every scenario, not all will. The types of risk countermeasures are high-tech, low-tech, and no-tech. High-tech includes things like security systems (ie access control systems, video systems, etc), X-ray scanners, badging systems, etcetera. Many high-tech countermeasures are even capable of “intelligent video analytics” that can evaluate unusual behavior, for example. Low-tech countermeasures are those that include more physical security items, such as barriers, fences, lights, locks, signs, etcetera. There are even countermeasures made through the way an environment is designed when it is built, which is called Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). No-tech countermeasures include risk analysis, policies, investigations, training, working with law enforcement, etc.Knowing which type of countermeasures to use all depend on the situation at hand. When risk assessment is conducted, usually an assessment of the available countermeasures will determine which will produce the most ideal results. Some people even like to conduct a risk assessment without countermeasures, to see what possibilities the worst result will bring, in an attempt to determine what the most effective countermeasures will be.
