Scenario:
The Customer Service department of the XYZ Corporation is undergoing an upgrade. You have been tasked by your supervisor to prepare all office computers for software upgrading and all users for learning the new software. In order to complete this task, you must first discover how to identify the operating system of each computer and how to navigate within the operating system. Beginning with your own computer, use the steps below to achieve this goal. Next, identify your plan for updating the software of the office computers and your recommendation for training the users per your supervisor’s request.
Purpose:
To engage you in the process of achieving the goal of knowledge acquisition regarding your computer system, you will develop a plan to research the type of system you have, prioritizing your plan according to the scenario listed above and the questions listed below. Your process should demonstrate self-awareness, planning and prioritizing when establishing and carrying out the goals. The goals and plans to achieve this knowledge should be well developed and in depth. The assignment must be in Standard English and demonstrate superior organization.
Based on what you learned regarding your own computer system, be sure to include your prioritized plan for preparing all the office computers for the software upgrade and all users for learning the new software as directed by your supervisor.

Technical paper: final project plan

Especially for You Jewelers is a small jewelry company in a college town. Over the last couple of years, it has experienced a tremendous increase in its business. However, its financial performance has not kept pace with its growth. The current system, which is partly manual and partly automated, doesn’t track accounts receivables sufficiently, and the company is finding it difficult to determine the reasons why the receivables are so high. The company runs frequent specials to attract customers but has no idea whether these efforts are profitable or if the benefit—if there is one—comes from associated sales. Especially for You Jewelers wants to increase repeat sales to its existing customers; thus, it needs to develop a customer database. It also wants to install a new direct sales and accounting system to help solve the outlined problems.
The new direct sales and accounting system for Especially for You Jewelers will be an important element in the growth and success of the jewelry company. The direct sales portion must track every sale, be able to link to the inventory system for cost data, and provide a daily profit and loss report. The customer database must be able to produce purchase histories to assist management in preparing special mailings and special sales to existing customers. Detailed credit balances and aged accounts for each customer would help to solve the problem with the high balance of accounts receivables. Special notice letters and credit history reports would help management reduce accounts receivable.

Social work- discussion: diagnosis of anxiety and obsessive

 
Anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD) have a devastating impact on an individual’s ability to live, work, and conduct relationships. These disorders are often harder to identify than other conditions. Difficulty in diagnosis is compounded by the fact that expressions of anxiety differ widely from culture to culture. Anxiety is often co-occurring with depression and with OCD, as well as with trauma disorders. The boundaries between these illnesses can be blurred.
This week you examine those boundaries by analyzing a case from the anxiety and OCD spectrums. You also consider cultural idioms and the cultural formulation interview (CFI) of the DSM-5. The CFI is designed to help a social worker adapt diagnosis and treatment both to cultural variations and to the individual experience of a person within that culture. Given that anxiety may manifest in diverse ways due to cultural influences, you practice using the CFI to guide treatment conceptualization for anxiety.
 
Social workers take particular care when diagnosing anxiety due to its similarity to other conditions. In this Discussion, you carefully assess a client with anxiety disorder using the steps of differential diagnosis. You also recommend an intervention for treating the disorder.
To prepare: Read “The Case of Emily P.” Review the decision trees for anxiety and OCD in the Morrison (2014) text and the podcasts on anxiety. Then access the Walden Library and research interventions for anxiety.

 The Case of Emily P. 
Emily is a 62-year-old, single, heterosexual, African American female who seeks treatment for anxiety. She says she is very concerned since she recently has been pulling her hair out, and it has become noticeable on top of her head. She is taking to wearing hats, which she finds acceptable. She worries about many things, which is not new to her, and she finds that scrubbing her home clean is her best therapy to ease her anxiety. Emily reports that germs have been a regular concern of hers since adolescence, when she learned in health classes about the risks of serious diseases including sexual transmittable disease. Emily presented with meticulous grooming, although the knees of her pants were noted as worn. She has arthritis in her spine and knees and uses a walker to help her manage mobility safely. With her physical disabilities it is challenging sometimes to scrub clean the house daily. This worries her should she get a visitor and the house is not in order as she would like it. She is no longer working, so the amount of time it takes her to scrub the house clean doesn’t delay her daily schedule as it used to. Emily receives Social Security income and is not employed. Although the Social Security is acceptable, her living expenses are always a concern to her. She lives alone in a subsidized apartment in the same building as her 72-year-old, unmarried sister, so rent should not increase. Emily and her sister shared an apartment for over 30 years, beginning when each of their marriages dissolved. Emily reported that when her sister began a romantic relationship 5 years ago, Emily began to feel very anxious and started to cry often. Emily moved into an apartment down the hall in the building and began to pull the hair from her head, hiding her hair loss by wearing wigs. This behavior occurred at different times and resulted in scabbing. Emily said she feels better after but does not always notice how much she is pulling. Her sister learned of Emily’s hair pulling after her wig slipped off one evening to reveal bald spots. She set up a schedule over the past few months with her sister to help stop the hair pulling. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. She is worried that she will be disappointing her sister by not sticking to the schedule to reduce her hair pulling. Her sister encouraged Emily to seek treatment rather than “hiding her ways.” Emily is reliant upon her sister for transportation and for a sense of social and emotional connection. Emily worries about bothering her sister due to her transportation needs, and she worries that without her sister she would be helpless. She knows she is edgy with her sister often and worries that might be from a lack of good sleep. She agreed to this session even though she is pessimistic about anything working. During our initial visit at our local mental health center, Emily shared that when she was 2 years old her mother died from tuberculosis, and the following year her father, an army officer, died from colon cancer. After his death, Emily lived with her paternal aunt, from whom she felt no love. Her older brother and sister were placed in an orphanage and Emily was permitted to see them on Sundays. When it became apparent that the children were entitled to death benefits, Emily’s aunt agreed to take custody of all three  siblings. The household then consisted of Emily’s paternal aunt, her husband (who Emily described as an alcoholic), their three children, and Emily and her two older siblings. Emily was briefly married in her early 20s (4 years) but was disappointed and hurt by her husband’s infidelity. She moved in with her sister at that time. Emily reported it as an “anxious” time but denied hair pulling then. Emily also enrolled in a cosmetology school and liked her work. She had to stop working “for health reasons” when she was 58 years old. With all this going on in her life now, Emily feels tired a lot from trying to keep up with the cleanliness of the house, especially with her lack of mobility. She finds herself napping often. This then interferes with a restful sleep at night. When asked about her behaviors concerning her hair pulling, Emily reluctantly admitted that if she cannot get to her hair she will pick at a scab or skin. Generally, she avoided social situations so that her behavior is not exposed and worried what others would think of her. She denied other behavior rituals but became noticeably anxious at this question. When asked about “goals” if treatment was to be effective for her, Emily stated that she wanted to “cope better. Emily was collaborative during this assessment and engaged after a reluctant start.

Tips
To brainstorm, you might consider using a Venn diagram or a simple list to show what your topics have in common and how they differ. Then you can select the most prominent or interesting characteristics that you want to highlight in your paper. 
Be sure to avoid beginning your comparisons or contrasts in the introduction. Your thesis is the only place in the introduction where you will include this information. Use the introduction to get your reader’s attention, and consider using a good strategy that leads into the topic. For instance, you might relate a short anecdote to illustrate your topic, an interesting quotation that relates to your topic, or perhaps a surprising statistic that reveals something about your topic. 
Then, in the body paragraphs remember to support your claim(s) outlined in the thesis. For instance, if one of your points says the city and the country are different in terms of transportation, be sure the topic sentence of one body paragraph presents a similar statement. In addition, spend equal time on each subtopic in each body paragraph, and one way to develop organized body paragraphs is to focus on one topic before moving to the next one so that the paragraph support is split 50/50. In other words, using the example above, you would explain the transportation options in the city in full, and then, you would detail the types of contrasting transportation in the country. End each body paragraph with a strong concluding sentence that synthesizes that paragraph’s discussions.

Research Design
Research design refers to the specific type of study that you will conduct. Research design is normally consistent with one’s philosophical worldview and the methodological approach the researcher chooses. In this case, you are using a quantitative methodology. As we have discussed in this, quantitative research designs can be experimental and non-experimental. You will be using a non-experimental design that can include descriptive statistics, correlational or causal-comparative research methods.
Research methods refer to specific procedures selected based on the chosen design. This is where you will provide detail on how you collected and analyzed your data. For quantitative methodologies, research methods can be quite detailed and require that attention be paid to recruitment, sampling, sampling frame, sample size, surveys, pilot tests, observations, data collection, data analysis, statistical procedures, data interpretation, coding, validity, reliability, generalizability, reporting, etc.
For this, you will develop the research design for the Sun Coast project, utilizing this template to complete your assignment.
Your research design submission should include the below elements.

Research Methodology: Describe and justify the choice of research methodology and why it was most suitable to solve the problems. Be sure to compare and contrast this choice with the design that was not selected.
Research Design: Explain whether the research design is exploratory, causal, or descriptive. Provide the rationale for the choice.
Research Methods: Review the research questions and hypotheses you developed in Unit II, and then decide on the most appropriate research methods to test your hypotheses. They might include a combination of experimentation, descriptive statistics, correlation, and casual-comparative methods. Museum visitation | Geography homework help

Step One:

First, you will select a museum from the class list to visit. If you live in town, you must choose from this list. All the museums are linked on the table below, so you can check their websites to see what special exhibits they are showing. For students from out of town, you must email me the name and a link to the museum you wish to visit. You must give me at least 2 weeks’ notice for approval before you go.
You can travel to the museum on your own, with friends, or even with your group members from class.
REMEMBER to bring your student ID so that you get a discount on admission.

Call the museum you have chosen to ask if they have one day a week where entrance is free. Most museums do.

If you don’t have Microsoft Word, save your file as a .txt, .pdf, or .rtf file. Title your document with one word. For example, I might use sarah1.doc.
Your report must be at least 700 words. You need a sketch for each section A-E.
Please make sure to turn in your own work. Use your own words, not summaries of the descriptions of the artwork listed in the exhibit brochure or displayed with the objects’ titles.
Also, this report is an individual project. It should not be done with other students.
Any papers that are plagiarized will be turned back to the student and an “F” grade will be given.
Make sure to upload your paper to the dropbox and read your originality report. If your paper is above 5% copied (excluding quotes) make the necessary changes before re-submitting it into the dropbox. Sketches should NOT be included when you upload your paper. They should be scanned in and uploaded to the seperate Sketch dropbox or they can be faxed to the number in the syllabus. Part A. The Most Beautiful Object in the Museum

As you walk through the museum, you should seek the most beautiful object you can find. When you have discovered it, stand or sit before it for at least two minutes.
Try not at first to look at the “title” or other information displayed with the object. Use your insight and imagination to understand the art before you.
Think about what thoughts and questions are going through your mind as you look at the object. Try to answer these questions in your paper; don’t just list questions without answers.
Take notes that express your feelings and thoughts plainly and simply.
Make a 8 x 10 sketch of the object, including the important details. (Do not worry about your artistic talent – I just want to see your impression of what you saw.)
This part of the paper should include:

the name of the museum you visited.
the title of the work you selected, its artist, and the country the artist is from.
a detailed description of the work and why you selected it. (Use Questions You Should Think about When Looking at Art if you get stuck. However, do not list the questions in your paper. Answer them.)
the feelings the work aroused in you.
your 8×10 sketch, including the important details.

Part B. The Most Interesting Non-European/Non-North American Work of Art

Part D. 2 Paragraphs about a Special Exhibition

Please add a paragraph about a special exhibit at the museum. What was the title of the exhibit? What was the purpose of the exhibit? Give a general description of the artwork that is part of the exhibit.
In your second paragraph, select an object you feel is the most significant of this particular exhibit. Make sure to include the title of the piece, the artist, country of origin, a description and sketch, and why you thought it was the most significant of the exhibit. (Make sure to complete a sketch.)

Part E. What Would You Take Home

If you could take one work home, from anything in the museum, what would you select and why? Describe the work you have selected. (Make sure to complete a sketch.)

Museum Rules:
Museum Policies and Rules of Conduct
Museums and galleries are concerned about both the exhibition and the protection of the works of art in its collection. Knowing and observing the below rules will be helpful.

PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH ANY WORK OF ART IN THE MUSEUM. Try to keep at least eight inches away to avoid any accidental damage. Be be prepared for a gallery attendant to to remind you if you get too close.
APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR. Eating, drinking, gum chewing, and smoking are not permitted in the galleries. Running, jumping, and physically fooling around are not permitted because of the hazard they create for the artwork and for other visitors. Children are welcome, but their behavior should be monitored by adult companions.
NO PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY. Cameras and video recorders may not be permitted in the museum. ASK FIRST. Flash photography, videography and the use of tripods are almost always prohibited.
HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBILITY. Reserved parking, wheel chairs, and elevators are available. Inquire at the front desk for assistance.
STUDENT DISCOUNTS. Ask at the front desk if student discounts are available. (Be sure to have you Student ID with you.) Or you can call ahead, to see if the museum offers free admission one day a week. Make sure to keep your ticket/receipt as proof of your visit in case I have questions.

Scenario
Padgett-Beale Inc.’s (PBI) insurance company, CyberOne Business and Casualty Insurance Ltd, sent an audit team to review the company’s security policies, processes, and plans. The auditors found that the majority of PBI’s operating units did not have specific plans in place to address data breaches and, in general, the company was deemed “not ready” to effectively prevent and/or respond to a major data breach. The insurance company has indicated that it will not renew PBI’s cyber insurance policy if PBI does not address this deficiency by putting an effective data breach response policy and plan in place. PBI’s executive leadership team has established an internal task force to address these problems and close the gaps because they know that the company cannot afford to have its cyber insurance policy cancelled.
Unfortunately, due to the sensitivity of the issues, no management interns will be allowed to shadow the task force members as they work on this high priority initiative. The Chief of Staff (CoS), however, is not one to let a good learning opportunity go to waste … especially for the management interns. Your assignment from the CoS is to review a set of news articles, legal opinions, and court documents for multiple data breaches that affected a competitor, Wyndham Worldwide. After you have done so, the CoS has asked that you write a research report that can be shared with middle managers and senior staff to help them understand the problems and issues arising from the insurance company’s findings and the court case against Wyndham Worldwide.

Write a three to five page report using your research. At a minimum, your report must include the following:
1. An introduction or overview of the problem (cyber insurance company’s audit findings regarding the company’s lack of readiness to respond to data breaches). This introduction should be suitable for an executive audience and should explain what cyber insurance is and why the company needs it.
2. An analysis section in which you discuss the following:
a. Specific types of data involved in the Wyndham Worldwide data breaches and the harm 
b. Findings of the court regarding actions Wyndham should have taken 
c. Findings of the courts regarding liability and penalties assessed against Wyndham
3. A review of best practices which includes 5 or more specific recommendations that should be implemented as part of Padgett-Beale’s updated data breach response policy and plans. Your review should identify and discuss at least one best practice for each of the following areas: people, processes, policies and technologies. (This means that one of the four areas will have two recommendations for a total of 5.)
4. A closing section (summary) in which you summarize the issues and your recommendations for policies, processes, and/or technologies that Padgett-Beale, Inc. should implement.

Once you have your topic, think about a problem or challenge associated with that topic. For example, if your topic is workplace diversity, the associated problem might be the challenge faced by organizations in creating a productive, healthy, and supportive work environment.
Next, research your topic and problem. Locate 3–7 reputable resources on the topic. The resources you choose will help you to define the focus of your research and writing. For example, if your topic is workplace diversity and your problem is how organizations can create a productive and supportive work environment, your research may lead you to focus on how company policies can influence the work environment. Your research should also help you develop possible solutions to the problem.
Now, suppose the topic and problem you have selected are also primary concerns for your organization’s leadership. You have been asked to research the topic and problem and prepare a presentation for the executive board that includes your evaluation of the problem and your recommendation for a solution.
Requirements
Develop a PowerPoint presentation on the business topic and problem you selected. Use the notes feature of each slide to expand your bullet points and reference your resources. PowerPoint presentations generally shouldn’t have sentences such as a white paper or plan would, but instead should have bullet points that are organized and clearly convey the intent of the presentation. You should still follow APA rules for attributing sources that support your analysis and conclusions.
Your presentation should include one or more slides covering each of the following areas, and you could use slide titles more explicitly related to your chosen topic than are shown below. A template with this structure is provided in Resources for you to use to create your presentation if desired.

For this paper, you will use news articles and other online sources to research how the COVID-19 crisis is affecting one of three aspects of urban life that we are focusing on during the last half of the course; social interaction and civility in urban spaces, housing and homelessness, and crime and violence.  Your goal will be to write a description of trends about your topic, based on the news and information you can find about it, and then discuss how these trends relate to the class readings and materials on your topic.Sources: I expect that the news media will be an important source for everyone.
