DeVry University Adjusting Entries Discussion

Plays are meant to be performed rather than read. The purpose of dramatic arts often extends far beyond the words written on a page—staging, lighting, costumes intonation, expression, and audience experience are all part of the experience of a theatrical production. To help develop your understanding of Othello and the cultural role of the dramatic arts, you will view a production of the play this week and write a two-page reflection to explain your viewing experience. Please make sure you review the Assignment Connection portion of this week’s lesson, as it will provide some additional help. Below, please find several adaptations of Othello.Otelo (Links to an external site.) My Writing Plan 4-6 Discussion
Argument:
Virtual therapy is an effective and convenient alternative to traditional therapy. I am going to show how virtual therapy is convenient for people seeking therapy that live in rural areas or with mobility issues. Also, people seeking support for depression, anxiety, or mental health problems can use virtual therapy without feeling the stigma of being in a waiting room or judged.
Audience:
My audience would be anyone in psychology, anyone that opposes the effectiveness of virtual therapy, people in therapy and people who are looking to receive therapy.
Goal:
My goal would be to prove that virtual therapy is an effective and convenient alternative to traditional therapy. That it can provide the same quality of care, while also providing additional benefits such as convenience and to reduce the stigma providing a sense of anonymity and privacy because you are not seen, this can help reduce the feeling of shame and judgment associated with seeking therapy.
Key points:
1.) Virtual therapy can provide the same quality of care as traditional therapy.
2.) Virtual therapy is more convenient than traditional therapy.
3.) Virtual therapy can reduce stigma associated with traditional therapy.
Potential Resources:
I have a few potential resources one is a book written by Zara Abrams called “How Well is Telepsychology Working?” Another would be a “Evidence-based Resource Guide Series Telehealth for the Treatment of Serious Mental Illness and Substance use Disorders” that was put out by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Also, have a systematic review and meta-analysis from the International Journal of Mental Health Nursing edition called:  Effects of Online Stigma-Reduction Program for People Experiencing Mental Health Conditions it was wrote by Yong-Shian Goh, Qing Yun Jenna Ow Young, and Wai-San Wilson Tam.
Evidence:
The evidence I will provide will show a systematic review of studies that found therapy developed through telemedicine was as effective as face-to-face therapy in treating mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I also will show how telemedicine makes it easier for patients to access mental health care without taking time off work or traveling to a doctor’s office. Also, I will show how telemedicine reduces the stigma associated with traditional in-person mental health care and makes it easier for people to seek help.
For your response post, do the following:

Select one post made by another student to evaluate. Try to find a student who has not had any feedback. Reply to one classmate outside of your own initial post thread.
For this module, complete your one response post by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. of your local time zone.

Read through your peer’s post carefully, and then address the following prompts:

State your peer’s argument about the persuasive topic.
How can your peer address the challenges that were identified about convincing your peer’s audience?
Offer one research or writing suggestion to help meet your peer’s identified goal.
What evidence would convince you as a reader?

Biological Influences Psychology Questions

1) DISCUSSION QUESTIONPart 1: Post a ResponseIn this week’s discussion you will be exploring energy and how it’s captured, released, and used by all living creatures.Review the video about the “phytoplankton that brought Earth to life” found at: . In this clip, Penny Chisholm discusses a tiny phytoplankton called Prochlorococcus. Based on that video, address the following:In the video, Dr. Chisholm tells us that Prochlorococcus samples from different environments that are genetically different. Discuss what this tells us about the relationship between organisms and their environments. What do you think is the most interesting or significant aspect of Prochlorococcus?2) PEER REVIEW #1 (JESSICA)Hello Dr. Cox and Class,According to Dr. Chisholm, the Prochlorococcus is a basic unit of life as its ancestors played a significant role in facilitating the evolution process.  These ancestors were significant through their biochemistry that led to the splitting of the water element releasing oxygen into our atmosphere. Dr. Chisholm is an Oceanographer who is focused on the study of microorganism and the role they play. She has identified the relationship between these organisms and their environments. As these microorganisms differ with regards to the region they occupy on the ocean. These microscopic plants are defined by the region of the ocean they are isolated from as their characteristics are defined by these regions. This aspect recognizes the interaction between these microorganisms and their environment that try to optimize their symbiotic relationship. These microscopic plants genetic makeup are relative to the region of the ocean they occupy. Therefore, these plants are affected by the properties of the environment they occur. What do you think is the most interesting or significant aspect of Prochlorococcus?Despite the Prochlorococcus being discovered just 25 years ago, its importance has been underrated. The Prochlorococcus is significant in the production of oxygen production by the ocean. Their biochemistry led to the process of photosynthesis that split oxygen from the water molecule sustaining evolution through the creation of oxygen. These cells put oxygen in earth’s atmosphere creating the most profound process on our planet.3) PEER REVIEW #2 (VERNON)Hello Dr. Cox and classmates,In the video, Dr. Chisholm brought out that on earth the smallest organism is the Prochlorococcus Dr. Penney Chisholm is an Oceanographer, in the ocean, she studies microorganisms, the ocean consists of over 3 billion small tiny cells, these microscopic plants even though small in size she mentioned that their personalities are different. Something else important in the ocean is the production of oxygen, when the split of the water or H2O took place it produced the atmosphere with the oxygen so we could evolve, which is vital for our life. The most important aspect is even though the discovery was about 20 years ago it is “earth’s most abundant organism” and its major part is the ocean and it producing the oxygen that is vital for our life to breathe.

Cis 408 week 8 assignment 3: the wild frontier, part 3

Assignment 3: The Wild Frontier, Part 3
Due Week 8 and worth 80 points
Thanks to the great IT support the IT team provided, Wild Frontier is expanding even more. Each of the original four (4) satellite offices have doubled in size and four (4) more offices are being opened. The current licensing seats have managed to cover all of the existing personnel, without full utilization but the new demand will overtax them. The owner, Sam Yosemite, gets all fired up if he can’t allocate costs fairly according to use. You also need to make the existing printers cover the additional personnel use without buying new printers, even though the managers have to print off long documents several times each week to provide shooting targets for Sam.
Also, some users have been accessing applications and media services they do not need and the IT team needs to curtail this. The budget given for the increased staff is not sufficient for new desktops for each user. Additional storage needs have been identified in the original four (4) satellite offices, as well as some slowdowns in performance. These need to be addressed along with the consideration of Terminal Services Licensing.
Write a three to four (3-4) page paper in which you:
1.    Analyze how using Windows SharePoint Services will help meet many of the criteria for providing support for the additional remote offices and help prevent duplication of work.
2.    Create a plan to meet the printer requirements specified in the scenario.
3.    Propose a solution that will address the:
a.    Additional storage needs.
b.    Slowdowns in performance.
c.    Consideration of Terminal Services Licensing.
4.    Use Visio or a similar tool to depict graphically the physical and logical layout of your plan. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length.
5.    Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
Include charts or diagrams created in Excel, Visio, or one of their equivalents such as Open Project, Dia, and OpenOffice. The completed diagrams / charts must be imported into the Word document before the paper is submitted.

RISK MANAGEMENT AND PATIENT SAFETY
BEFORE TAKING ON THE ASSIGNMENT, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND ALL OF THE INFORMATION AND REQUIRED READINGS AND ATTACHMENTS THAT GO ALONG WITH IT. MUST BE ORIGINAL WORK AND NO AI ASSISTANCE
Assignment Overview
Given that each health care system and facility faces unique site-specific risk challenges, a one-size-fits-all model does not exist in risk management. Health care managers must consider all aspects of their setting very carefully in terms of patient safety, mandatory regulations, potential medical errors in the setting, existing and future policies/procedures, as well as current and upcoming legislative acts that affect health care provision in the setting.
This module’s Case Assignment challenges you to locate and read an existing risk management and patient safety plan of a facility of your choice, and then assess its components in light of the background readings.
REQUIRED READINGS
American Society for Health Care Risk Management. (2019). Different roles, same goal: Risk and quality management partnering for patient safety. Available at https://www.ashrm.org/sites/default/files/ashrm/Monograph.07RiskQuality.pdf

This can be your current or future-intended setting, or a facility that you locate through some research online. What is defined/included in the components of the plan? Who are the stakeholders responsible for the implementation of each component?
2.  Are the directives stated by the American Society for Health Care Risk Management followed in the plan? If not, what seems to be missing?
3.  What could be added/clarified in the plan’s policies and/or procedures to either further prevent risk or enhance patient safety? Be as specific as you can in your assessment.
4.  Does the facility have a dedicated Patient Safety Officer (PSO)? What is the role and scope of a PSO’s daily work?

Compensation & Benefits Management Responses

A. Leadership is important in the team to organize the involved facts completely with so many people with different skills and with their educational backgrounds to improve their productivity. Leadership paradox shows an alternative view of leadership with few critical levers that are capable of transforming systems of freedom. Leadership is the foremost accumulation correspondence of elective fields; healthy organizational leadership maintains all aspects which are related to one another in the team and itself in the organization (Denning, 2019). Leadership changes the vision buy sharing, inspiring people, empower the people along with them and lead to a better chance. Self-defined team leaders can set their views and ideas to implement and direct to regulate them to stay connected but sometimes actual leaders have embrace qualities, as this is paradox leadership. Some paradoxes of leadership are as follows: success comes from failure, 2. Humanity is a key characteristic of great leaders, 3. Learn by doing, 4. don’t rush your employee development, and 5. Leadership about relationships, not unilateral decision-making.  These all make sometimes better knowledge to learn along with them and can have the opportunity to the success and to recover the failures, the real paradox of leadership allows those to the best to them. B.  The strategies for encouraging participative management are in different terms as task delegation, job involvement, and organizational involvement suggestion involvement and so on.  Organizations use various strategies for encouraging the participative management with some basic ideas like regularly scheduled meetings, suggestion boxes, with new ideas, to help the firm setting goals for the employees forming self-managed teams with advising makes the firm success. The organization will benefit and run better in many ways if the staff feel more loyal and respected. A wider range of knowledge makes better challenges to participate in any tasks and to reach the real destination. Encouraging their skills in the application of both internal and external make growing experiences with more sharing’s and fulfill the team’s leadership abilities and can make strong teams. Promoting learning the employees can set their paths can strengthen their weak ability to strong in achieving the company goals.C. In the organization, critical conflicts commonly arise in the inter-team groups when distinctive individuals join their suppositions and make some disturbances in the work. Differences in the group leaders treating the other side appreciated also because of the failure and they cannot focus on the company’s aims and it disassociated with the all other existing teams in the organization. Self-importance and separation of teams might lead to clashes and that leads to the breakdown of the communication. The difference between the employees in their Education, training and skilled works of the team members makes the serious biases or misassumptions in the teams. The solutions for the intergroup conflicts by keeping face to face meetings for problem-solving, different goals make prudent to establish their work rearranging the reporting abilities between the groups. Without meaning full input of the commitment of time and resources with a collaborative process can approach success.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management Discussion Questions

This unit explores the issue of accountability, or who is responsible for defining, measuring, and reporting on quality measures. There is a formal process that expects accountability across the health care continuum. You will explore the current best practices and trends from an internal and external focus.Use the Measuring Health Care text to read the following: Chapter 5, “Promoting Accountability through Measurements,” pages 94–114. This chapter looks at who is accountable and how in measuring and reporting health care quality. While measuring of outcomes and processes is wonderful, someone or a department needs to be tasked with the responsibility for this ongoing effort.1. Determining Accountability-Read the information below and provide in a 250-300 word post, outline your plan of what needs to happen. Be sure to highlight who is accountable for each step of your plan. Your plan should have a minimum of five steps. What is your role in the PDCA plan designed by the CEO? Is the role appropriate? Who is most accountable – the CEO or the DON? How do you follow the PDCA model while moving swiftly on this issue? You are the owner and CEO of group homes that serve those with mental impairments. Each group home services six to ten adult residents. Your group homes are located in neighborhoods throughout the community. The group homes are staffed with caregivers who have been trained as Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs). You have a Director of Nursing (DON), an RN, who is responsible for writing the medical care plans and ensuring the needed medications and treatments are provided for each resident. The medications are given by the caregiver staff of each building. The media carries messages rapidly across all areas of the nation. The media has been successful at uncovering fraud, discovering specific health issues, and disseminating helpful information. The media also may create challenges for health care managers faced with different crises and situations. Health care managers must be aware of the impact the media may have on their own organization. You are the administrator of a local nursing home. During the evening shift, one of the cognitively impaired residents eloped (escaped from the facility). This resident was found several miles from the facility six hours later huddled in a ditch, cold, and dirty. You have spent most of the night dealing with the staff involved, the resident’s family, and local law enforcement. As you turn toward your office door at 8 a.m., a reporter is waiting for your statement. In a 250- to 300-word response, develop your “media release” statement. Carefully word this piece recognizing that you want to continue to present your facility in a favorable light in the community and do not wish to pinpoint (in the media) who the accountable staff may be.  Respond to the media release as a patient advocate. Does the media release provide a balanced response to the incident? Is the public’s right to know balanced by the rights of privacy for the patient? Is there a feeling that the facility responded correctly?
