There are various reasons why we should be cautious in drawing causal conclusions with a correlational design. One reason why we should be cautious is because although there may be a link between two activities there may not be evidence to support that one causes the other (Myers & Hansen, 2012). Another reason we must be cautious of these types of conclusions is because there could be other factors that causes the link between two activities (Myers & Hansen, 2012).
My hypothesis for my study is to find the link between prolonged exposure to stress and physical and mental changes to the body. I think that this can be accomplished by using a survey or questionnaire and polling groups of college students and people whom may be acting as caregivers as both circumstances can be quite stressful.
