Guidance Strategies Journal 2
Guidance Strategies Journal 2
Introduction This journal assignment will help you reflect on guidance strategies seen in your practicum placement. Remember guidance strategies should guide children to become self-disciplined and be able to function by the rules of our society.
The Assignment:
Complete the Reflective Journal assignment using the topic assigned. The journal must be a minimum of 3 paragraphs, each paragraph must be a minimum of 10 sentences in length. The first paragraph should contain a description of the event, activity, or interaction that pertains to the topic. Be specific and detailed to give a clear understanding of the event, activity or interaction you have selected. The second paragraph should contain one NAEYC Sub-Standard (ex. 4b) from the standard summary document that is attached to the assignment. You should reflect upon how this sub-standard is applicable/appropriate to the first paragraph. Give detailed information that relates the NAEYC sub-standard you selected to the event, activity, or interaction from the first paragraph. The third paragraph is your chance to reflect on the event, activity, or interaction. As you reflect, think about what you learned, what could have been done better or differently, or what went exceptionally well. Perhaps this will cause you to change your practice with children and families. Remember this is your chance to respond honestly and think about your role as an early childhood professional. How have you grown as a professional? These are all suggested to help you reflect, it is not necessary to include all the suggestions in your reflective paragraph.
Journal Topic:
Think about guidance strategies. What strategies do you find yourself using most often and why? Are they effective? What strategies are your supervising teacher using in class? Are they effective? Which strategies have you seen implemented effectively that made a difference in the child(ren).
Grading Criteria
· 20 points are deducted if an NAEYC Sub-Standard is not included in the second paragraph.
· 20 points are deducted if the sub-standard is included but it is not relevant to the event, activity, or interaction.
· 10 points are deducted if three paragraphs are not included
· 10 points are deducted if the minimum 10 sentence requirement is not met in all three paragraphs.
· 15 points are deducted for spelling and grammar
· 25 points are deducted if the event, activity, or interaction does not relate to the given topic.

Designing ferpa technical safeguards | Computer Science homework help
Designing FERPA Technical Safeguards
Due Week 2 and worth 100 points
Imagine you are an Information Security consultant for a small college registrars office consisting of the registrar and two (2) assistant registrars, two (2) student workers, and one (1) receptionist. The office is physically located near several other office spaces. The assistant registrars utilize mobile devices over a wireless network to access student records, with the electronic student records being stored on a server located in the building. Additionally, each registrars office has a desktop computer that utilizes a wired network to access the server and electronic student records. The receptionist station has a desktop computer that is used to schedule appointments, but cannot access student records. In 1974, Congress enacted the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) to help protect the integrity of student records. The college has hired you to ensure technical safeguards are appropriately designed to preserve the integrity of the student records maintained in the registrars office.
Write a three to five (3-5) page paper in which you:
Analyze proper physical access control safeguards and provide sound recommendations to be employed in the registrars office.
Recommend the proper audit controls to be employed in the registrars office.
Suggest three (3) logical access control methods to restrict unauthorized entities from accessing sensitive information, and explain why you suggested each method.
Analyze the means in which data moves within the organization and identify techniques that may be used to provide transmission security safeguards.
Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:
Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the students name, the professors name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:
Describe the role of information systems security (ISS) compliance and its relationship to U.S. compliance laws.
Use technology and information resources to research issues in security strategy and policy formation.
Write clearly and concisely about topics related to information technology audit and control using proper writing mechanics and technical style conventions.
3-42 jim sellers is thinking about producing a new type of electric
3-42 Jim Sellers is thinking about producing a new type of electric razor for men. If the market were favorable, he would get a return of $100,000, but if the market for this new type of razor were unfavorable, he would lose $60,000. Since Ron Bush is a good friend of Jim Sellers, Jim is considering the possibility of using Bush Marketing Research to gather additional information about the market for the razor. Ron has suggested that Jim either use a survey or a pilot study to test the market. The survey would be a sophisticated questionnaire administered to a test market. It will cost $5,000. Another alternative is to run a pilot study. This would involve producing a limited number of the new razors and trying to sell them in two cities that are typical of American cities. The pilot study is more accurate but is also more expensive. It will cost $20,000. Ron Bush has suggested that it would be a good idea for Jim to conduct either the survey or the pilot before Jim makes the decision concerning whether to produce the new razor. But Jim is not sure if the value of the survey or the pilot is worth the cost. Jim estimates that the probability of a successful market without performing a survey or pilot study is 0.5. Furthermore, the probability of a favorable survey result given a favorable market for razors is 0.7, and the probability of a favorable survey result given an unsuccessful market for razors is 0.2. In addition, the probability of an unfavorable pilot study given an unfavorable market is 0.9, and the probability of an unsuccessful pilot study result given a favorable market for razors is 0.2. (a) Draw the decision tree for this problem without the probability values.

Problem investigation | Information Systems homework help
To give you a sense of real-world context, the problem in this course is set in a hypothetical organization. The problem has been carefully crafted to prompt learning in the areas of virtuous leadership and global-based teams.
You work for an organization that believes in shared responsibility and teamwork. Your organization is also on the front lines of innovative work and dealing with issues around the globe.
You and a select group of colleagues have been asked to create a task force to address critical issues in your organization. You have never worked together before. You are a global-based team comprised of colleagues who are not centrally located. Your organizations leaders strive to be a virtuous business and expect this task force to demonstrate virtuous leadership and implement this model in its work.
The Problem
A task force that functions efficiently, virtuously, and globally must be established for your organization.
Investigating the Problem
Since the problem has already been identified, you and your PBL team must work together to investigate the problem. You must work collectively and individually to conduct an investigation of what is known about establishing an efficient, virtuous, and global task force in an organization. Each member of the team must contribute to the investigation process and the deliverable. This investigation will build off of your prior knowledge and experiences. Remember that you are not trying to solve the problem yet.
Consider the following questions to begin your investigation:
What tools and resources have you used for teamwork in the past?

Are you ready to begin? When this mornings incident was reported to Cindy, she was incredulous. If this continues, Alan Stone ranted to Cindy, well never see a repeat customer. The local community will be gone and well be no better than the old Georges Grill, depending on hotel guests looking, for a quick, cheap breakfast.Cindy had previously met with David Chang, general manager of the restaurant, so she knew there were issues with integration of new and existing staff, but she hadnt expected it to be this bad. The staffs behavior had to change. Calm down, Alan, said Cindy. Ill meet with David this afternoon, and well get it taken care of.How can these employee problems be resolved? What policies and procedures should Cindy implement to integrate the new employees and to create a high-performance work team at the Garden Terrace Restaurant?
