Nursing today is continually changing and expanding. Staying current on the latest best practices is essential. Evidence-based practice is a philosophy of implementing the best practices and procedures that have been proven, through research and studies, to facilitate the most favorable outcomes. In 2010 under the Obama administration and the Affordable Care Act, evidence-based practice (EBP) shifted health care from being based on a reimbursement system and quantity to a system based on evidence and quality (Laureate Education, 2018). EBP is a long-term problem-solving approach to clinical practice. These practices integrate evidence from research, clinical experience, theories, expert panels, patient values, and preferences (Melnyk Fineout-Overholt, 2018).
For this discussion assignment, I have chosen the Mayo Clinic website. The Mayo Clinic is the oldest and largest medical group with several multispecialty facilities, combining medical practice with research and education on both a national and international level. The Clinic has a united model of care that permits multi-disciplinary practice that fosters the team-orientated patient health care and accountability (Bakri Mayo Clinic, 2014). Mayo clinics mission statement is To inspire hope and contribute to health and well-being by providing the best care to every patient through integrated clinical practice, education and research (Mayo Clinic, n. d.).
I believe that the Mayo Clinic is well-grounded in EBP, through the many research activities in which they are involved. Through research, the Mayo Clinic has been involved in over a hundred medical breakthroughs. All of these have contributed to the well-being of the patient population. Good examples are their development of a rapid way to diagnose surgical specimens allowing their surgeons to explore, diagnose, and repair all in one operation. Also, the mayo clinic isolated thyroxin, the principal hormone of the thyroid gland; only the second time, a pure hormone had been isolated, and the Mayo Clinic developed a DNA test to diagnose anthrax rapidly (Mayo clinic, n. d

Biometrics is an invasion of privacy?
Many people believe that the use of biometrics is an invasion of privacy. For example, an eye scanning device records the inner structure of a persons eye and stores that image in a database. Critics worry that databases of human traits used to maintain corporate security may actually pose a privacy threat to individuals, if such data were used in other ways. In your view, are such concerns justified? Why or why not?

Q:
Identifying and Managing Risk
In this assignment, you will compare and evaluate risk management techniques from experts in the field.
Go to the Ashford University Library and find one article by James Kallman. Dr. Kallman, an expert in the field of risk management, has written many articles on managing financial risk. Find a second article in the Library from another credible author of your choice who also provides recommendations for risk management.
Develop a three- to four-page analysis, excluding title and reference page(s), of the techniques Dr. Kallman has identified for managing risks. In this analysis, compare Dr. Kallmans techniques to the techniques recommended in the second article you researched. Explain why you either agree or disagree with each authors recommendations. Identify other factors you believe should be considered in risk management. The assignment should be comprehensive and include specific examples. The paper should be formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
You must cite at least two scholarly sources from the Ashford University Library, one being an article by Dr. Kallman.

Applying to graduate school | Psychology homework help
DiscussionApplying to Graduate School
In the first two modules, you explored your career options and identified available positions related to your interests. You also determined which of those positions required a masters or doctoral degree. For this assignment, research graduate school programs for the selected career using your textbook, the Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet.
For this assignment, you will need to complete the following:
Select one of the careers that require a graduate-level degree.
Identify at least threegraduate school programs you would consider attending. For example, if you hope to become a licensed professional counselor (LPC), you would first need to earn a masters degree at the very least. You would want to research programs that provide masters degrees in counseling. Include research on whether or not you would fulfill the requirements for licensure in your state of residence if you completed those specific programs. Cover the following:
Indicate which license you would seek and which programs would or would not prepare you to be eligible for licensure.
If you want to become licensed, you want to ensure that those programs meet your states requirements for licensure. For example, if you wish to become an LPC, you would have to review the American Association of State Counseling Boards at: http://www.aascb.org/ and locate your states licensing board Web site address.
For each of the three graduate school programs, research and discuss the institutions accreditation. Is it nationally or regionally accredited? Most state licensing boards require the higher-level of those two options, which is regional accreditation.
You might want to review the following Web site to determine if the school is regionally accredited:
Most states also require a specialized accreditation for licensure as an LPC or psychologist. For counseling licenses, most states honor programs that have the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs designation. For psychology licenses, the American Psychological Association (APA) accreditation is usually required. Go to the following to find programs with the CACREP designation:
Discuss any concerns you may have about applying to or attending graduate school. List any questions you have about the application or licensure process.
Provide at least two authoritative references or sources for the information you have discussed. One of these can be the textbook.
Write your initial response in a minimum of 300400 words. Apply APA standards to citation of sources.
