Job Training Versus Academic Majors Paper
In a paper of three to four pages (1200 words minimum), create an argumentative response to the following statement–you may agree with the statement or disagree with the statement, but in either case, detail and support your decision. You may do research into American higher education, but it isnt completely necessary.Agree or Disagree with the following statement using logical supporting claims and examples:The “Majors” system that was developed at Harvard and other colleges and universities over a century ago is now completely out of date and useless for most college students. Students need real job training today as most industries, businesses, and other ventures and careers simply expect new hires to be ready for jobs on day one.Colleges like Troy should therefore partner with industries and create job tracks for students to ready them to step into a job after graduation or to step into a graduate/professional school like law, medicine, business, etc.Who needs a B.A. in ‘English’ or ‘History’ if the only thing an HR department wants is evidence that one can do the job listed? Some Tips for Successful Essays:1. Be sure to go beyond your own thoughts and experiences in this papertalk to friends, relatives, and class-mates, do some research on the Internet, in newspapers, in books, etc. Be sure to cite all of these sources in correct MLA formatsee The Writer’s Reference for guidelines.2. Show both sides of the issue. You MUST have at least one paragraph in which you clearly, fairly, completely, and honestly show the opposing viewpoint. Be especially sure to show strengths in the opposing views. But demonstrate why your position is stronger, overall, than the opposing view.3. A successful essay will introduce, prove, and support a thesis through a sustained argument that is strong, active, and grammatically and logically sound.
Business Union Carbide Corporation and Bhopal Research Paper
Consider the concerns as described in this case and prepare a memorandum that addresses the concerns described below. Your memo should be completed in narrative form (you may use headings if you choose to do so for organizational purposes, but do not list your responses in bullet form). Identify all of the potential ethical issues you see (if any). Describe and analyze the implications of each issue, including who or what were affected by the companys response. In identifying issues and addressing their implications, your discussion should be as comprehensive as possibleyou should consider any economic, social, or ecological implications. Additionally, your analysis should thoroughly identify and discuss at least two potential courses of action that the company could have taken with respect to each issue you have discussed. Clearly demonstrate your reasoning processidentify and explain any ethical principles or arguments you are relying on; do not simply state unsupported conclusions. If you choose to apply any approaches to ethical reasoning that you learned about in this course, clearly state what they are and how you are applying them to this case. Of the possible solutions you identified, which would you recommend that the company should have adopted as a resolution? Again, fully explain and justify your recommendations. Finally, explain how you would implement each solution you have recommended.
M4a2 marketing plan: consumer and business markets
Your goal for this part of your marketing plan is to determine if your product or service is focused on being in a consumer or a business market, and then which type within that category you will choose to be to drive sales. Keep in mind that many businesses and consumers cross market category types and lines, but for the purpose of this course and your final project, focus on one category (consumer or business) and one type within that category. This will help you to narrow your efforts to one channel and apply what youve learned more easily. Incorporate what youve learned from the readings and discussion.
For this part of your marketing plan, use what you learned in the module and the discussion to do some critical thinking go past the surface and delve deeper into the problem. For the product or service that you are working with, investigate its website to determine what particular market type it is focused on, as well as how and why it is focused on that type of market.
Respond to the following prompts.
Identify which market your product or service is operating in, C2B, C2C, B2B, or B2C.
Identify and discuss the advantages of the company using its website to target a consumer or business market.
Make at least two recommendations to improve the companys presence in the market (C2B, C2C, B2B, or B2C).
Things to Remember!
Your paper should be at least 1 ½ pages in length, not counting a cover page or reference page.
Justify your recommendations by including in-text citations and references.
Format according to APA style.

Rsch 8210 week 8 assignment testing for correation and bivariate
Assignment: Testing for Correlation and Bivariate Regression
You had the chance earlier in the week to perform an article critique on correlation and simple linear regression and obtain peer feedback. Hopefully you are excited about the potential these tests hold; equally important is that you recognize some of their weaknesses. Now, it is once again time to put all of that good brainstorming to use and answer a social research question with the correlation and simple linear regression. As you begin the Assignment, be sure and pay close attention to the assumptions of the test. Specifically, make sure that your variables are metric level variables that can easily be interpreted in these tests.
For this Assignment, you will examine correlation and bivariate regression testing.
To prepare for this Assignment:
· Review this weeks Learning Resources and media program related to regression and correlation.
· Using the SPSS software, open the Afrobarometer dataset or the High School Longitudinal Study dataset (whichever you choose) found in the Learning Resources for this week.
· Based on the dataset you chose, construct a research question that can be answered with a Pearson correlation and bivariate regression.
· Once you perform your correlation and bivariate regression analysis, review Chapter 11 of the Wagner text to understand how to copy and paste your output into your Word document.
For this Assignment:
Write a 2- to 3-paragraph analysis of your correlation and bivariate regression results for each research question. Do not forget to evaluate if the correlation and bivariate regression assumptions are met and report the effect size. In your analysis, display the data for the output. Based on your results, provide an explanation of what the implications of social change might be.
Use proper APA format, citations, and referencing for your analysis, research question, and display of output.
By Day 7
Submit your Assignment: Testing for Correlation and Bivariate Regression.
United flight 15 from new yorks jfk to san francisco uses a boeing
United flight 15 from New Yorks JFK to San Francisco uses a Boeing 757-200 with 182 seats. Because some people with reservations dont show up, United can overbook by accepting more than 182 reservations. If the flight is not overbooked, the airline will lose revenue due to empty seats, but if too many seats are sold and some passengers are denied seats, the airline loses money from the compensation that must be given to bumped passengers. Assume that there is a 0.0995 probability that a passenger with a reservation will not show up for the flight. Also assume that airline accepts 200 reservations for the 182 seats that are available.
9. Find the probability that when 200 reservations are accepted for United flight 15, there are more passengers than seats available. Show your calculation.
10. Is the probability of overbooking small enough that it does not happen very often (ie, unusual), or is it high enough to consider making changes to lower the probability of overbooking? Justify your answer using a complete sentence and proper grammar.
11. Use trial and error (and your calculator) to find the maximum number of reservations that could be accepted so that the probability of having more passengers than seats is 0.05 or less. Make a table like the one below:
Number of reservations P(more passengers than seats available)
200
