Develop a 12-15 slide PowerPoint presentation discussing the roles and responsibilities of health care professionals.
Develop a 12-15 slide PowerPoint presentation discussing the roles and responsibilities of health care professionals.
The U.S. health care workforce comprises both clinical and nonclinical professionals. The field is very diverse with professionals coming from all over the world. Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physical therapists, psychologists, chiropractors, and pharmacists are only a few of the many types of clinical professionals. On the nonclinical side, administrators, financial analysts, information analysts, billing specialists, and collection specialists are just a few types of nonclinical professionals. All of these individuals come from different backgrounds and must work together to ensure the best patient experience and highest quality care possible.
To ensure high quality care, health care professionals must be aware of, and comply with, laws designed to protect patients. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) has been one of the most far-reaching laws that has directly impacted not only health care professionals, but also patients (Niles, 2021). Most organizations have annual training requirements to ensure all employees are aware of the regulations as they relate to their specific job functions. Ethical issues such as treatment of the terminally ill, genetic testing, cloning, organ donation, and euthanasia are additional topics that further challenge health care professionals. As a health care administrator, you must understand the laws and ethical standards to which you are held.

apply ONE ethical theory to decide the moral course of action in the medical case of the premature twins studied in class.
Essay
Judge the medical case studied in class during Week 8 in the Discussion Board. In the video, philosophers applied the three major ethical principles you learned in this class: Kant’s Categorical Imperative, Utilitarianism, and Virtue Ethics. In a five paragraph essay, apply ONE ethical theory to decide the moral course of action in the medical case of the premature twins studied in class. Apply the ethical theory in each paragraph to support your arguments throughout the entire essay. Not using the ethical theory results in an automatic zero. Using more than one ethical theory results in an automatic zero. (50 points) You have 4 hours to complete this exam. You only have ONE attempt to complete this exam.

milk is given by: uA = cA(mA)2. Belle’s preferences are represented by the utility function:
uB = (cB)2mB. Initially, their mother gives 2 cookies and 1 glass of milk to each of them, but
Ann and Belle are able to trade with each other afterwards.
a) Set Ann and Belle’s utility maximisation problems and find their Marshallian Demands.
(10 marks)
b) Determine the market equilibrium prices and allocation. Show your work. (5 marks)
c) Draw an Edgeworth box to show how trade leads to a Pareto improvement for Ann and Belle.
Label and explain your diagram. (10 marks)
d) The mother wants to maximise the social welfare function W = uA + uB. Which feasible
allocation would maximise this social welfare function? Comment on the merits and limitations
of using such a social welfare function. (10 marks)

Describe how the physicians practice and the hospital system communicate to foster high-quality, efficient, and effective care.
Complete a 3-5 page assessment template discussing the continuum of patient care, care quality, and communication between physician practices and hospitals.
As a health care administrator, you will likely spend a great deal of your time focused on operations. You may find yourself working in a hospital, clinic, long-term care facility, hospice, urgent care center, home health agency or a number of other types of organizations. Regardless of the type of organization, many of the operational responsibilities are the same.
Health care financing has become quite complex. Because most health care organizations are reimbursed primarily from a third party (insurance company), health care administrators must manage the communication between the patient, the insurance company, and the organization. Consumer-directed health plans (CDHPs) have increased in popularity as a way to reduce insurance premiums; however, the patient has a larger financial responsibility for services compared to managed care plans. This concept is known as cost sharing (Niles, 2021). It is very important to understand the payer mix of your organization, so you understand where and how revenue is coming in.
Information technology is another huge area of focus right now for health care administrators. The health care industry has lagged behind other industries in the area of information technology. The U.S. health care system has seen a large increase in the number of electronic medical records implemented across health care organizations (Niles, 2021). In addition, other technologies such as telehealth, electronic data warehouses (EDWs), and computerized physician order entry (CPOE) are quickly expanding and improving the delivery of health care.

discuss how Henry Ward Beecher and Sitting Bull’s beliefs and life experiences might have prompted them to issue these quotes.
While utilizing the two quotes below, describe and evaluate the Indian Boarding Schools system and relate them to the information found in chapter 11 (p. 365-381) of First Americans. Henry Ward Beecher
“If the Great Spirit had desired me to be a white man he would have made me so in the first place. He put in your heart certain wishes and plans; in my heart he put other and different desires. Each man is good in the sight of the Great Spirit. It is not necessary, that eagles should be crows.”
Sitting Bull (Teton Sioux)
