How did the indigenous people of Latin America react to Iberians? How did they adapt to Iberian culture (that is, how did indigenous cultures and societies change during the colonial period)? How did they resist Spanish and Portuguese rule? How did the responses and experiences of sedentary, semi-sedentary, and non-sedentary indigenous people differ during the colonial period, and how were they the same (if at all)?
