Using a Web browser, perform some research on a newer malware variant that has been reported by a major malware containment vendor
1. Using a Web browser, perform some research on a newer malware variant that has been reported by a major malware containment vendor. Using a
search engine, go to the vendor’s Web site; this could be Symantec, McAfee, or any of their competitors. Visit one malware prevention software vendor.
Search for the newest malware variants and pick one. Note its name and try to understand how it works. Now look for information about that same
malware from at least one other vendor. Were you able to see this malware at both vendors? If so, are there any differences in how they are
reported between the two vendors?

Does the OSI model conform to the TCP/IP protocols, or vice versa?
1. Does the OSI model conform to the TCP/IP protocols, or vice versa? Is there another model that works better in a corporate environment? In other environments? Explain your answers in detail and provide examples to support your perspective. (No Rubic is required).
2. Describe how OSI layers can affect a network’s design and network in general. Provide an example.
3. Using resources from this week’s readings and those available on the Internet, answer the following questions in a 500- to 1,000-word paper:
a) Describe how OSI model layers can effect a network’s design and networking in general.
b) There are two different types of switching technologies available in today’s market. One lives on one layer, while the other resides in a different layer of the OSI model. Locate these switching technologies, describe the differences in functionality, and relate those differences to the functions inherent within the OSI model. Your OSI model annotation document from Week 1 will be valuable.
c) How can the OSI model be useful during troubleshooting processes?
Note: You must use at least one credible reference in your paper.

Describe when some controls cannot be implemented
In this assignment you will be conducting a risk assessment. This will not be a technical risk assessment, but an assessment of your hypothetical organization/business. For your organization/business, take the NIST Cybersecurity Framework controls and reduce them to system configuration requirements and system test cases with pass/fail criteria. Refer to the “Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity,” located within the Course Materials. Then, include the following in a report:
- Describe when some controls cannot be implemented (such as on a personal laptop).
- Explain what is to be done in each case identified above to compensate for controls that cannot be implemented (e.g., create an identification authentication scheme).
- Demonstrate how compensating controls can ensure the non-compliant system can continue to operate within the secured and compliant environment.
- Discern the likelihood of a cybersecurity breach within the compliant environment and the impact it might have on the organization (make sure to consider emerging risks, threats, and vulnerability).
APA style is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
Refer to “Organizational Risk Assessment Scoring Guide,” prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

As the nurse, what priority data would you collect from this couple to help define relevant interventions
CASE STUDY: Active Labor: Susan Wong
Mrs. Wong, a first-time mother, is admitted to the birthing suite in early labor after spontaneous rupture of membranes at home. She is at 38 weeks of gestation with a history of abnormal alpha-fetoprotein levels at 16 weeks of pregnancy. She was scheduled for ultrasonography to visualize the fetus to rule out an open spinal defect or Down syndrome, but never followed through. Mrs. Wong and her husband disagreed about what to do (keep or terminate the pregnancy) if the ultrasonography indicated a spinal problem, so they felt they did not want this information.
Reflective Questions
1. As the nurse, what priority data would you collect from this couple to help define relevant interventions to meet their needs?
2. How can you help this couple if they experience a negative outcome in the birthing suite? What are your personal views on terminating or continuing a pregnancy with a risk of a potential anomaly? What factors may influence your views?
3. With the influence of the recent Human Genome Project and the possibility of predicting open spinal defects earlier in pregnancy, how will maternity care change in the future?
