W7 Discussion Hotels
When a guest stays at a hotel, they are, at-the-minimum, promised a clean, safe and comfortable accommodation. In addition, depending on the type of hotel, they may also have the opportunity to relax by the pool, workout in the fitness center, or get some work done at the business center. They may also choose to place a room service order for breakfast or visit the restaurant located within the facility. When a patient is admitted to a hospital for a surgical procedure, then they too need a clean, safe and comfortable accommodation in addition to appropriate clinical and medical care, of-course. In fact, depending on the nature of the hospital visit, the patient needs include many of the same aspects of a hotel stay such as food & beverage, service, and so on.
So to enhance their effectiveness, should the healthcare facilities focus on what they do best (i.e. clinical and medical care) and partner with hospitality firms to offer the services which are their core competence? Does the above idea seem far-fetched?
Please respond to the initial question by day 5 and be sure to post two additional times to peers and/or instructor by day 7. The initial post by day 5 should be 75 to 150 words, but may go longer depending on the topic. If you use any source outside of your own thoughts, you should reference that source. Include solid grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and spelling.

Question B
Suppose you owned a portfolio consisting of $250,000 of U.S. government bonds with a maturity date of 30 years. Would your portfolio be riskless? What if your portfolio consisted of $250,000 of 30-day Treasury bills? Every 30 days your bills mature, and you reinvest the principle ($250,000) in a new batch of bills. Assume that you live on the investment income from your portfolio and that you want to maintain a constant standard of living. Is your portfolio truly riskless? Can you think of any asset that would be completely riskless? What security comes closest to being riskless? Explain.

Defining and understanding the elements of a group culture is essential to forging a professional identity either online or in person. These elements are important because they reflect how professionals interact, whether online or in person.
An industrial or workplace culture consists of different occupations, roles and statuses. A hospital is an excellent example of a number of people working in close proximity representing different occupational groups. Patients, nurses, health care specialists, surgeons, administrators, security, and support staff groups all function together but may be identified by their equipment, behaviors and language, and the tools and training used to get their work completed.
In this Assignment, you will write a descriptive report about the industry culture of a group of people within the workplace, preferably your career field industry culture. Please note that this focus should not be on racial or ethnic cultures.
Assignment Instructions
Search using individual internet research and complete an essay (in at least 250 words), that investigates a cultural group in your desired field. Identify a recently adopted information, education, or communication technology tool in your specialty area.
Identify a recently adopted information, education, or communication technology tool in your specialty area.
Current Information and Communication Technologies
With so much attention focused on health care reform, it is important that nurses be given the opportunity to use high-quality technology tools. These tools can increase access to vital medical information, promote effective communication among health care professionals, and improve the patient experience. By actively seeking out and adopting these tools, nurses can greatly enhance the quality and safety of care that they provide.
This Discussion focuses on identifying quality technology tools that increase the ability of nurses to provide safe, effective care.
To prepare:
Review the various technology tools described in this week’s Learning Resources.
Identify a recently adopted information, education, or communication technology tool in your specialty area. Reflect on how it is used and how its use impacts the quality of care.
Consider how your identified technology tool might impact nursing practice if it were more widely used. What are some barriers preventing increased usage? How could wider implementation be facilitated?
Post on or before Day 3 a description of a current or new information, education, or communication technology tool that is being used in your specialty area and assess its impact on the quality of care. Highlight the effect that increased use of this technology would have on nursing practice and discuss the barriers that are slowing or hindering its adoption. Summarize how adoption of the technology tool could be facilitated.

Why do you think people tend to be satisfied with the effectiveness of the treatments they receive that are based on the ethno-etiologies?
Many cultures have ethno-etiologies that provide explanations for illness that are not based in science. From a biomedical perspective, the non-scientific medical treatments provided in these cultures have a low likelihood of success. Despite this, people tend to believe that the treatments are working.
Why do you think people tend to be satisfied with the effectiveness of the treatments they receive that are based on the ethno-etiologies?
In transcultural nursing practice, why would it be important for nurses to understand such ethno-etiologies when nurses interact with patients of different cultures?
