In recent years, software applications have evolved to be more complex, dynamic, and distributed in nature. Our company houses a large number complex applications distributed across its ecosystem. Therefore, monitoring these applications have become a tedious, complex and costly task. Having a real time end-to-end business transaction monitoring solutions is very important, as this will help proactively identify any issues related to its services and expedite its resolution.
Gartner defines Application Performance Monitoring (APM) as a suite of monitoring software comprising digital experience monitoring (DEM), application discovery, tracing and diagnostics, and purpose-built artificial intelligence for IT operations. APM is the practice of proactively monitoring the many aspects of an application environment in order to identify and mitigate issues before they become major problems.
Our goal in this use-case is to study how the company can leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) in APM to detect abnormalities or future issues in business transaction and proactivity resolve them.

The health care reform debate is not a new one. The plan for a national system was a Hillary Clinton platform when she was First Lady. In 2010, President Barrack Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). In 2018, President Donald Trump looked to repeal and replace the PPACA. As we reach the end of the human life span, we all face the issue of death. The most influential theory about our psychological reaction to death and dying is from a psychiatrist, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. Based on extensive interviews of people who were dying, Dr. Kübler-Ross developed a five stage theory to describe our response to the news of imminent death. The stages include denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Although well-respected and clearly a pioneer in the field, the theory has limitations and has drawn some criticism.
Consider the following scenario:
In early March of 2005, Ardell was diagnosed with lung cancer and was told that she had about 6 months to live. At first Ardell told her friends that she felt fine and she thought the doctor was wrong. She sought out the opinion of a few other doctors, all of whom confirmed the original prognosis. Ardell became angry. She lashed out at her friends and expressed jealousy about their healthy state. About a month later her anger subsided and Ardell found herself in a state of deep depression. She didnt want to see any of her friends she just wanted to be alone. Her friends tried to reach out to her, visiting her at home. But when they dropped by, Ardell would get angry, again expressing jealousy and rage over their enviable state of good health. After a fit of anger, she would often apologize to her friends and tell them that her anger was from her fear. This vacillation between anger, depression, and fear seemed to continue until her final days. Ardell passed away in October, about 7 months after her initial diagnosis.

The Power Process Love your problems helps you take effective action by accepting and experiencing your barriers. But sometimes the best action is no action at all. Consider the following story.
A traveler takes shelter in a cave for the night. He lies down and, after a few moments, sees in the dim light a huge, poisonous snake sleeping right next to him. The fear that arises in him from this sight is so great that he weeps uncontrollably. The snake continues to sleep comfortably for hours, while the travelers fear escalates into a full panic. He envisions the snakes fangs dripping with blood after digging deep beneath his skin. He imagines the pain of being bitten and dying slowly alone in the cave. Horror and dread fill his imagination. An entire night passes, and the snake does not move. All the while, the traveler cannot escape his fear. He is frozen with it. He must either face his fear or risk waking up the snake in a panicky escape attempt. As daylight moves in, the traveler, exhausted from his inner struggle, begins to see the beauty of the snakes skin and the perfect peace in which it slumbers. In contrast to his fear, suddenly he feels a kinship with the snake. The traveler begins to relax and falls soundly asleep. When the traveler next opens his eyes, the snake is gone. From that day forward the traveler is never sure if the snake really existed. Either way, the lessons learned that night provided the empowerment he needed to shift from a focus on fear to one of acceptance.
