Their ambition is to be the leading online fashion brand for 16-24 year olds.
Since boohoo was established in 2009, the world has changed. boohoo is facing up to the future and are prioritising doing more for their clothes, their suppliers, their communities, and their impact on the environment. They’re looking hard both inside and outside their business to come up with a plan which will help them be READY FOR THE FUTURE as they pledge “Clothes Made Smarter, Suppliers On Better Terms, Our Business Taking Action”. There is work to be done, and they want to be open, upfront and frank on the progress they’re making.
boohoo are keen to change the narrative, starting with a call to use clearer language as they strive to become the next ‘regenerative’ brand in favour of adopting buzzwords such as ‘sustainability’.

The Brief boohoo has recently carried out research which seems to disprove the fast fashion stereotype that cheap clothes aren’t sustainable and that consumers don’t care about regeneration. For example:

Summary: You will select and describe one SDG and link it to a range of issues that you are interested in, have read about or are aware of. Next you will take a deep dive into the issues surrounding the SDG using the 5W&H model. Then finally and tentatively, explore some potential ideas that would help reduce the impact of the problem.
Reason: Design Thinkers often use the 5W&H model to explore complex issues in greater detail. This is an opportunity for you to consider an aspect of sustainability in depth and to understand how Design Thinking may help to provide solutions to “wicked” problems. A wicked problem is a social or cultural issue or concern that is difficult to explain and inherently impossible to solve. Examples of wicked problems in today’s society include things like education design, financial crises, health care, hunger, income disparity, obesity, poverty, terrorism, and sustainability. This technique allows you to understand a situation fully and to define the underlying problems by analysing many aspects to inspire solutions.

Background
The United Kingdom’s (UK) population is aging, with rapid growth in the number of over 65s expected in the coming decades. Consequently, older adult healthcare services will experience pressure to accommodate changing and contemporary health needs of an aging population. It is estimated there are around 410,000 residents in UK care homes.
Transitioning into long-term residential care is a major life event for older adults that can lead to a loss of autonomy and social relationships, a narrowing of daily occupations, and a reduction in sense of identity as they attempt to adapt to the routines in their new home. Stigma and ageism associated with older adults in care home settings can remove their status as occupational beings and recreate them as unable, frail and in poor health. A balance must be found between institutional needs and resident needs thus, care homes are tasked with the challenge of creating an environment that fulfils a
dual function as a place in which formal care can be provided without compromising residents’ meaningful activities, sense of home or quality of life.
A 2017 report highlighted a low prevalence of occupational engagement in Scottish care homes where only 55% of homes provide daily organised activities and 10% do not provide any opportunities for active engagement of people with dementia. Similar narratives are observable in care homes outside of Scotland where multiple studies recognise a positive relationship between meaningful activity and quality of life yet have observed high levels of resident inactivity in care homes. Many residents spend the majority of the day passively seated, activity provided is unchallenging, and life revolves
around personal care and mealtimes.
The purpose of this scoping review is to map the existing literature on occupational therapy interventions for older adults residing in a care home setting which enable occupational engagement and to report how the outcome of these interventions are measured.

This will be by developing a business case for a business process change project. Task 4: (25%) Process Implementation
Discuss implementation and process management of the business process from Task 3 using relevant module material. Review the role of technology and reflect on the tools/concepts that can be utilised to assess viability to support organisational choices. You may consider one or more of the following technologies or choose other alternatives in your reflection: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) as possible areas of discussion.
