Justify ways in which the system was designed to support a positive user experience
Part 1:
Building a new software application is just the start, as organizations invest in software to help solve business problems. For systems to be effective and have a positive influence on organizational goals, they need to address user experience and focus on how best to gain new system adoption. The ideas for a new strategy are compiled in a document titled a “change management plan.” This plan contains information about the new user experience, how the new system will be supported, and the communication plans to inform the system users, which includes FAQs and instructions on how to use the system.
Develop a 2- to 3-page change management plan for WeLoveVideo. Within the change management plan:
Justify ways in which the system was designed to support a positive user experience
Determine how the system changes will be communicated to the users
Propose ways in which you will shape the communications to ensure a positive outlook
Propose collateral (e.g., FAQs and user guides) that will be developed in support of the new system
Recommend what type of support will be available to the users after implementations
Part 2:
Your implementation was successful, and it is time to plan for future projects. As the project comes to a conclusion, it is important to reflect on the project. One way to do this is to create customer success stories. These stories read as case studies and provide internal and external personnel a glimpse into the decisions made throughout the project. It provides the opportunity to highlight the goals, results, and impacts of the project. Customer success stories are also used to predict trends in future projects.
Develop a 12- to 14-slide, multimedia-rich presentation (appropriate charts, images, graphics, video, or audio where appropriate) featuring your work with WeLoveVideo. You will use this presentation in your next client meeting.
Explain the systems project
Justify the SDLC recommended (Waterfall or Agile) with intended business goals of the systems project Assess the results of the project, to include scope, schedule, budget, and user adoption
Discuss the impact the systems project had on the organization with storyboard example
Compare at least 2 customer success stories
Predict how the decisions made in this project will affect the business in the next 10 years
Compose detailed speaker notes which include at least 2 references cited in APA format
Presentation Note: The slides in your multimedia-rich presentation should only contain essential information and as little text as possible. Do not design a slide presentation made up of long bullet points. Your speaker notes must convey the details you would give if you were presenting. Review the Create Speaker Notes video for more help.
In addition, compose a 1-page summary of the presentation to be published on the company website for potential clients to review.
==============================================================================
The following scenario will be used for all assessments in this course:
WeLoveVideo is a mid-sized entertainment corporation providing streaming video services to its customers globally. The company has become very successful, growing from 10 to 200 employees in the past 5 years and gaining significant traction in the market. In addition, their sales have grown from $100,000 to $40,000,000.
The primary services provided are streaming videos, primarily focusing on major network shows along with current and past movie releases. They are seen as an alternative service provider to local cable and satellite TV.
As the company has grown in size and revenue, they have found that the database they use to track customer data has become obsolete. The sales team has a hard time determining both its prospective customer demographics and its current customer preferences. Sales is in desperate need of a customer relationship management (CRM) system, but is currently well positioned to invest in improving the internal systems.
The company has a functional organizational structure. The departments include Sales, Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and Product Development. Each of these departments is influenced by customer data and will be potential users of the new CRM. In addition to its internal users, it has partnered with all the major networks to license and make its shows available to customers.
A CRM system will be no small undertaking. Currently, customer data is being managed through multiple spreadsheets that will need to be migrated. In addition, Finance uses a system called “Adaptive Insights for Finance,” which will need to interface with the CRM to ensure the integration of financial data.
Beyond this, WeLoveVideo has focused on improving its employees’ overall worker experience in terms of applications, workflow, and user interface. This new CRM will need to account for this, ensuring that the user interface and design lead to strong adoption across its users.
Speed of implementation will be critical, as the company senses it is losing money daily due to the lack of centralized customer information. WeLoveVideo is hoping that this CRM implementation will not only streamline Sales and Support, but will also provide valuable insights about its customers’ viewing and buying behaviors that will lead to increased market share.
Create an Annotated Outline for your Signature Assignment
Instructions
Your task this week is to create an annotated outline for your Signature Assignment in this course using relevant studies. You may use all or some of the articles you’ve identified so far, or you may determine (based on your outline) that additional articles are needed.
1. Begin by identifying the topic area. You will need to include an Introduction, so consider what background and context about this topic you will need to provide.
2. Next, lay out the details. Do not just list topic headings but instead provide details regarding the peer-reviewed sources under each heading and connections between the findings of the different studies. Do not forget to include citations where necessary.
3. Be sure to provide enough detail that a reader may discern the overall ideas that your paper will present.
4. The theoretical framework is a foundational piece of the dissertation writing process. As you complete this assignment, make sure to note the theoretical frameworks used by the researchers in your outline.
Remember to include at least 10 scholarly references in your outline; you also may find that you need to add more references as you craft your outline.
Length: 2 pages, (make sure to add your plus reference page)
References: Include a minimum of 10 scholarly resources.
Your outline should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA 7 standards.
Does the company operate beyond a break-even revenue level?
BUS 311 Checkpoint Project
The checkpoint discussion can be extended around a series of questions from the perspective of owners, managers, short-term creditors, long-term creditors, market, and investors. Financial ratios are important tools to answer those questions and interpret the financial health of the company.
The ratio calculation is done through the excel template. You can copy the results into this template the work the the rest. You need to carefully read through the the ratios along the time and work out the answers in small paragraphs for the related questions in each major topic.
This exercise prepare you for the writing of the checkpoint project. Once completing part 1 and 2, you can organize the your answers on the relevant questions into the final paper.
Usually, financial analysis should be conducted both along the time and against peers or industry benchmarks. Our study does not require industry benchmark comparison. You can focus ratio changes over time, the underlying business decisions and transactions that caused the change, and their implications upon the financial health and investment value of the company
The grade grade is based on both the financial calculations and the interpretation.
STEP 1:
Q0: Conduct an environmental scan, indicating future prospect for a company.
Q0-1. Short description of the company background.
Q0-2. Industry analysis on the Strength / Weakness / Opportunities / Threats of the company

Q1: Overview of the company financials
Q1-1. What is the size, revenue, profit, revenue, and free cash flow for the last 5 years?
Q1-2. How the stock performed over the recent 5 years?
Question:
• Is the company of large, small, or medium size?
• Is the company profitable?
• Does the company generate positive free cash flow to investors?
• Does the market return reflect positive on the company performance?
Q2. From shareholder or investor perspective
2-1. How well has management utilized the company’s assets?
2-2. How well is the return over the stockholder’ equity?
Return on Assets = Net Income / Total assets
Return on Equity = Net Income / Equity
Question:
• Is the company profitable?
• How has the profitability changed over time?
• Any reason for such a change?
2-3. Cash flow analysis
Free cash flow = Cash flow from operation – CAPEX
Questions
• Is the company operations profitable?
• Is there any financing need? For what purpose, investment or financing?
• Is there any major investment spending? For what purpose?
• Does the company provide healthy free cash flows to investors?
• Cash is the “King”. How does the cash flow situation related the stock performance?
Q3. From Manager’s perspective
3-1. DuPont Identity
DuPont Identity decompose the ROE into three different sources: profitability, management efficiency, and financial leverage.
Net profit margin = Net Income / Sales
Total asset turnover ratio = Sales / Total assets
Equity multiplier = Assets / Equity
Return on Equity = (Net Profit Margin) * (Total asset turnover) * (Equity Multiplier)
Questions:
• Profit margin: Are profits high enough, given the level of sales?
• Total asset turnover: Are sales higher enough, given the level of assets?
• Equity multiplier: How did the financial leverage change the return on equity?
• What has been the main driving factors for the change of ROE in recent years, profitability, asset turnover, or financial leverage, or mix of the three?
3-2. Management efficiency
Account collection period = (Account Receivable) / (Credit Sales / 365)
Notes: If there is no data on “credit sales”, use “sales” data instead.
Inventory holding period = (Inventory) / (Cost of goods sold / 365)
Questions:
• Are receivables coming in too slowly?
• Is there too much cash tied up in inventories?
3-3. [Cost-volume analysis for EBDAT breakeven]
How does current revenue compare with the breakeven level?
VC = Variable cost = cogs
CFC = (Admin + marketing + other operating expense) + (interest expense)
R = Revenue
SR = Survival revenue = CFC / (1 – VC / R)
When actual revenue > Survival Revenue, the company can achieve profit over the fixed and variable cost combined. The ratio of R/SR shows the overall profitability for the company.
Questions:
• Does the company operate beyond a break-even revenue level?
• How did the Revenue / Survival revenue ratio change recently?
• What is the implication?
Q4. Short-term Creditors
4-1. Does this customer have sufficient cash or other liquid assets to cover its short-term obligations?
The Current Ratio and Quick Ratio measure the short-term liquidity of the firm?
The Current Ratio [Current Assets / Current Liabilities]
The Quick Ratio [(Current Asset – Inventories) / (Current Liabilities)]
Questions:
• Is the company facing liquidity issues for operation?
• How the company liquidity situation changed over time?
Q5. Long-term creditors
Debt-to-Equity (D/E) = [Total liabilities] / [Total Equity]
The Times Interest Earned (TIE) [Income + (Interest + Taxes)] ÷ [Interest Expense]
Questions
• As a potential or present long-term borrower, how heavy is debt financing over equity financing?
• Are earnings and cash flow sufficient to cover interest payments and provide for some principal repayment?
Q6. Market
6-1. How is the financial performance priced in the financial markets?
Price-book ratio = [price per share] / [book value per share]
Price-earnings ratios = [price per share] / [earnings per share]
Dividend Yield = [Dividend per share / [price per share]
Questions:
• How has the financial health changed over time, better or worse, for the past 5 years?
• Is the market reacting favorably to the company’ business performance?
6-2. Market value added
Market value added = (Price per share – book value per share) * (# of shares)
Enterprise value = market value of equity + short & long-term debt – cash
Q7. Potential investors
Note: for this section, no detailed calculations are needed.
Questions:
• Research at least two the recent investment initiative taken by the company.
• How such initiatives could affect the company’s future cash and value?
• What are the potential risks associated with the investment activities?
• What are the implication for investors?
STEP 2:
Q8. Cost of capital
Note: if there is no allocation to preferred stocks, you can ignore the component from preferred stocks.
8-1 Weighted average cost of capital
What does the WACC mean?
1) The average cost of financing or hurdle rate for the business
2) The average return required by the capital providers
3) The opportunity cost for the capital providers
8-2. Economic value added
The business need to make higher return than the WACC to be profitable. The WACC is the opportunity cost of the capital from the capital providers.
The dollar amount business can achieve beyond the opportunity cost of capital is called economic value added.
EBIT = ??
Assume T = Tax rate = 35%
Total capital from financing = (Debt + Preferred + Equity)
Economic value added = EBIT * (1-T) – (Total capital) * WACC.
Question:
• Is the economic value added positive or negative?
• What is the implication from the result?
Q9. Summary (detailed analysis is required)
9-1. List your overall conclusion on the financial analysis.
9-2. Were the financial ratios and indicators accurate reflection of business performance?
9-3. Comment on the company’s financial condition: excellent, healthy, or ill.
9-4. Is the stock over, under, or fairly-priced?
9-5. Is the stock a good investment candidate? Buy or Sell?
construct a data analysis plan for each of your chosen methodologies.
Proposed Data Collection
Sampling Strategy, Number Participants
The target population in this study will be about 12 to 18 women in different law enforcement positions in the country. The participants will be between 25 and 45 years old as people in this age group are more active in law enforcement, as described by Violanti et al. (2013). This sample size is suitable for getting the desired results in the study as it will also help save time. A study by Vasileiou et al. (2018) noted that a minimum of 12 participants in qualitative research is sufficient for data saturation identification of a suitable target group and selecting participants from a group is a crucial parameter to the success of a study. Finally, since this study focuses on cultural challenges, participant recruitment will incorporate different cultures across New Jersey. Participants recruited for this study will have to meet all the highlighted requirements, which is vital in helping achieve the study’s objectives.
Purposive sampling will be employed to recruit the study participants. Etikan et a. (2016) defined purposive sampling as a non-probability strategy where the researcher can choose the study participants based on their qualities. Therefore, the researcher will evaluate the target population to identify participants suitable for the study. Etikan and Bala (2016) add that purposive sampling entails identifying and selecting respondents based on their proficiency and knowledge about the study topic. Fiesler and Proferes (2018) clarified that in addition to knowledge and experience in the topic, it is vital to acknowledge the participant’s availability and desire to participate in the study. Singh and Masuku (2014) stressed that the need to use an appropriate sample size as incorrect sample size is likely to result in an erroneous conclusion in the study.
Recruitment
The next step is participant recruitment and the tools employed to obtain data from the participants. The process of participant recruitment and the subsequent data collection strategy has been complicated by the Covid-19, making it hard to engage the target groups due to health safety measures. Therefore, the researcher will seek to recruit this study’s data using the available online platforms. The process will start with participant recruitment, verification, and collection of data. Social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter will publicize the study among the target group. The link will include a small survey that asks for the participant’s contacts and age to ensure that the right target group participates in the research, and also and a brief research description and its significance.
The information obtained from the participants will include emails and participant’s phone numbers to enhance communication. The researcher will send emails to all people who will express their interest in the study to confirm their interest and recruit them for the next step in the study. The 18 participants will have to meet the inclusion criteria for the study (Appendix 3). The researcher will send the final email with the study objectives and semi-structured interview questions that the participants will be expected to answer. The interview dates will be scheduled with the participants through a video call platform like zoom and google meet. The participant’s feedback will be recorded and compiled in readiness for transcription.
Step-by-step Data Collection Process
Semi-Structured
This study will employ both structured and semi-structured interviews to collect data from the participant. Semi-structured interviews will be developed to engage the participants and get sufficient information from them. Adams (2015) defined semi-structured interviews as those that ask predetermined questions. The Covid-19 pandemic poses a significant threat in the event of human contact. Therefore, the interview questions are designed to allow the conclusive extraction of information. The researcher will have to settle for semi-structured interviews, which are reliable when the researcher seeks to understand the reasons for the participant’s attitudes and opinions on a particular study topic as described by McIntosh and Morse (2015). The interviews can explain ad build on their responses. Therefore, the study will include open-ended questions to ensure that the participants can explain their opinions without a face-to-face engagement. The researcher will include a brief demographic questionnaire to collect the participant’s demographic data. Some of the critical areas considered include the participant’s nationality and profession.
Structured interview
On the other hand, structured interviews can engage the participants and get their contribution to the study. Structured interviews are employed in survey research when the researcher seeks to ensure that the response to the interview questions is presented in the same order (Doody & Noonan, 2013). Unlike semi-structured interviews, structured interviews look for specific responses from the participants, which significantly affects the quality and type of research. The interview will entail close-ended questions. The researcher will test the participant satisfaction level with their roles as minority women law enforcers and how they think about their contribution to the profession. This will be done using a Likert scale where the participants will have five levels to express their satisfaction.
Methodology
The research methodology for this proposed study is qualitative research. A qualitative research method can facilitate open-ended explorations of phenomena, which allows researchers to use themes that arise in the course of the study (Yin, 2018). Qualitative research is typically used to conduct a study of human experience (Yin, 2018). As such, qualitative research is appropriate for exploring the lived experiences and perceptions of minority women in law enforcement of performance evaluations and barriers to success in their profession.
The research design for this proposed study is a phenomenological design. A phenomenological study is typically used by researchers to focus on the perspectives and lived experiences of study participants (Leedy & Ormrod, 2019). The focus of this study is the lived experiences and perceptions of minority women in law enforcement. Therefore, a qualitative phenomenological research design was selected.
Respond to the posts by respectfully agreeing or disagreeing with their description of peer reviewed research or its comparison to other forms of writing
Respond to the posts below by respectfully agreeing or disagreeing with their description of peer reviewed research or its comparison to other forms of writing. Also address what role APA Style plays in a peer-reviewed research article.
Peer review is the process of subjecting the work of an author who is an expert on a subject to the scrutiny of other experts in the field. The purpose is to hold the information in these articles to a high standard and make sure that false information isn’t published.
An article is peer-reviewed if it has been evaluated by several scientific experts in the field and has passed the process. The reviewers will evaluate the following, “validity of the science, the quality of the experimental design, and the appropriateness of the methods used” (Kelly, 2014).
The importance of peer-review is to make sure the information presented is accurate and unbiased.
This process also keeps the quality of manuscripts high. The process also ensures a trusted form of scientific information (Kelly, 2014).
As social workers we want to use interventions that are of evidence-based practice. Using peer reviewed articles is a strong indication that we are using the most quality research that is available in the field.
The content and language of a peer-reviewed research article is different then other forms of writing.
Peer-reviewed articles are free of opinion and commentary. They are strictly objective and based on scientific research. Peer-reviewed articles are also unlikely to have quotes, like we see in editorials and blogs. Unlike websites and editorials, peer reviews articles are unlikely to have photographs.
Articles that are not peer-reviewed are unlikely to be reviewed by experts in the field. They may be reviewed by editors though. Peer-reviewed articles are also formatted in a specific way. This is a strong indication that the articles is peer-reviewed. Peer-reviewed articles are found in peer-reviewed journals and can also be called blind peer-review, scholarly peer review and referred (Verify peer review, 2021).
A peer review is a strategy that is used to enhance and make better a body of work. Often, we see peer reviews as it relates to research and finding articles to support our research. As it pertains to articles, peer reviews occurs when an individual’s peers or colleagues evaluates and in a way grades the work
of the individual. The word peer in this case does not mean their friends or family, but yet the individuals that are typically in the same field of work as them. For example, an author will be peer reviewed by other authors or a student will have their work reviewed by other students or colleagues
within the school system. Peer reviews is important in the research process as it gives the body of work confirmation to be utilized and deemed essential to the subject of the research. In addition, it proves that the information is valid and worthy of being used. This is important because when conducting research, false information can be misleading, which ruins the research as a whole. The language between peer reviewed and other articles or blogs are different. Peer reviewed articles are informing and are constructed to teach and inform. The tone of a peer reviewed article is more of one that someone who is learning about a new topic can follow. Other forms such as websites or
blogs might be more persuasive or trying to convince someone about a topic.
critically analyse the operating environment of a small company and identify future strategic options that it may take
1. Demonstrate knowledge of a range of frameworks of strategy and
creativity appropriate for the evaluation of complex situations in organisations
2. Use appropriate methods to analyse an organisation and its context in order to generate coherent, innovative strategic options and choice
This assignment builds on the analysis undertaken for the company in assignment 1.
You should use the analysis from assignment 1 in order to produce a report that identifies strategic options that are available to the company and recommends and justifies one of these options as the preferred choice of strategic direction.
Your report on the company should use appropriate frameworks to develop at least two strategic options for the company. The options should consider the potential strategic directions for the company and include recommendations about which markets and product categories it could potentially focus on. Based on your analysis you must recommend which strategic option the
company should take and explain why this is the preferred option.
In the process of developing strategic options you should consider the company’s resources and capabilities, competitive advantage and industry evolution and change.
Reminder: The company which this assessment is focused on is: https://heaven-scent-floraldesigns.business.site/
It is a local florist company.
Notes:
• Assignment submission is individual
• The main content of the assignment should be in the main body
• There must be appropriate appendices that support your analysis (meaning appendices should include supporting material for the tutors to look at)
• You must NOT contact the company directly as part of this assignment
• Where hard data is not available the use of assumptions with the inclusion of supporting rationale is permissible.
This assignment assesses your ability to critically analyse the operating environment of a small company and identify future strategic options that it may take. This task assesses your ability to critically evaluate the usefulness and relevance of a company’s strategic objectives and capabilities in
the light of industry developments. Being able to use appropriate analysis to understand the key challenges and make decisions relating to strategy is one of the key skills of strategic thinking.
• Deliver a report that includes a detailed analysis
• Analysis requires you to demonstrate an understanding of how key trends and developments are likely to affect the industry segment and the company’s current strategy
• Develop and support your analysis by ideas and techniques drawn from academic theory and up to date research
• Ensure your arguments are backed up by evidence
Evidence is drawn from a wide range of complementary and sometimes contradictory sources.
Referencing is comprehensive and accurate throughout the report.
Excellent selection and linked use of tools and frameworks leads to clear understanding of the strategic issues. These are used as the basis of some original argument.
Excellent and well- presented analysis of target markets and products. Compelling supporting justification and evidence present.
Excellently thought out analysis and reasoning behind the chosen strategic option and how it can directly benefit the company. Competitive advantage and industry changes have been very thoroughly considered.
Excellent structure with very few grammatical and spelling errors. Good referencing using Harvard referencing style both within the text and in the reference list.
Design a short self – completion questionnaire on a topic in the social sciences
This paper has two sections:
First section
A) Design a short self – completion questionnaire on a topic in the social sciences.
The questionnaire should consist of between 15 and 20 questions that address a topic in the social sciences. It should be completed as a word document. Please focus on only one topic and develop appropriate questions to address this.
Your questionnaire should consist of only closed questions. The questionnaire should also include the collection of socio-demographic data such as gender, age etc. Make sure the wording of the questions is clear and not open to misinterpretation.
In addition to considering the clarity of the questions it is important to ensure that the questionnaire is ordered appropriately, and that you very briefly introduce the focus of the questionnaire.
Please assume that the questionnaire is being completed by someone who has already agreed to complete the questionnaire and to the ethical considerations. As such these aspects don’t need to be discussed here. However, at the start of the questionnaire you should provide a brief statement regarding the focus of the questionnaire. This should only be a couple of lines or so.
It is worth noting that you always need to be clear about how you want respondents to indicate their replies when answering closed-ended questions. For instance, are they supposed to place a tick next to, circle around, or line underneath the appropriate answer, or are they supposed to delete inappropriate answers? Decide whether to employ any filter questions and ensure instructions are clear. Consider whether more than one response can be used.
Second section
B) Provide an 800-word reflection on developing the questionnaire
Accompanying the questionnaire (at the end of it, in the same document) provide an 800-word reflection on the process of developing the questionnaire. This should include a discussion of:
The process of developing the questions including any changes you made to the questions as a result of piloting the questionnaire and why. You should only briefly explain why the questions were chosen to address the focus of your research. These should largely be self-explanatory to the person completing the questionnaire.
The decision-making in relation to the presentation of the questionnaire and how it is structured. This may include the question order, the types of questions employed (such as Likert scales) and why these were chosen, and the vertical or horizontal presentation of the questions, whether filter questions are employed and whether don’t know questions were used.
In order to produce this reflection, you should draw on methods literature which helped to inform your decision-making when developing the questionnaire. You should provide a list of references like in an essay.
This reflection does not need an introduction and conclusion like an essay.
Please Make sure you use these two sources that I have put below but make sure you also use other sources that you find
Bryman, A. “Self-completion questionnaires”, Clark, T. Foster, L., Sloan, L. and Bryman, A. (2021) Social research methods. pp. 210-233. Oxford: Oxford University Press. (Chapter 10

Explain Singer’s Strong and Moderate Moral Principles
Topic : Peter Singer on Charity
Last summer, Prof. Rude and his family spent $2,000 to go on a vacation in Chile. Instead of booking the trip, he could have donated that money to a charity that likely would have saved a child’s life. According to Peter Singer, Prof. Rude did something morally wrong: he should have donated the money instead of going on vacation.
Part 1. Explain how Peter Singer would argue for this conclusion. • In the process of explaining your argument, make sure to explain Singer’s Strong and Moderate Moral Principles. Explain how the two principles differ by giving a case in which they issue different verdicts (one principle says an action is wrong and another says an action is not wrong). And explain which of the two principles Singer’s argument depends on.
Part 2. Give one or two of the strongest objections you can think of against Peter Singer’s conclusion. How would Singer respond? Is the reply convincing? • At least one of the objections you consider should be new – it should not be from the lecture.
