This week’s assignment is to draw 10 pairs of arms in isolation: five male, and five female. Use the photo resources in the Course Materials folder. You should be drawing from shoulder to fingertip, all of the arm. Look for variety in expression, and use a variety of angles, being sure that you are showing some of the back of the arm and some of the underside, not just the front and top. Note that even if the model you are looking at lacks muscle definition, the structure is still there underneath. Find a way to indicate it with shading and slight exaggeration.
The 5 pairs of male arms should be drawn on one sheet of paper and the 5 pairs of female arms can be drawn on another piece of 18″ x 24″ paper, These should be fully rendered using graphite.
