Our positions in society, our experiences, and our identities all have an impact on how we may perceive and react to racism and other barriers to achieving health equity. What experiences or identities influence how you think about race, ethnicity or the relationship between racism and health?
Instructions
· First, read
at least one of the articles in the module, and
watch one of the webinars/documentaries. Try to pick something that will help you learn something new!
· In 3-4 pages answer the following questions. All except the final question can be answered before you participate in the discussion board or in class discussion.
1.
1. Our positions in society, our experiences, and our identities all have an impact on how we may perceive and react to racism and other barriers to achieving health equity. What experiences or identities influence how you think about race, ethnicity or the relationship between racism and health? Do you remember witnessing, hearing about or experiencing anything as a health care provider or as a patient that you think of as an example of how racism might influence access to care or health outcomes?
2. Which article would you recommend to a colleague? Why or why not? What was the most important “take home message” of the article to you?
3. Would you recommend the film or webinar you watched to a colleague? Why or why not? What was the most important take home message for you?
4. Answer this question AFTER the discussion thread or in class discussion- What ideas from your own experience with observing the impact of racism about opportunities to make changes will you carry forward into your own workplace, future practice or daily life?

Cracked Egg Game: There are a dozen eggs in a basket; some are hard boiled and some are raw. The object of this game is for the user to guess the number of hard-boiled eggs prior to playing the game. The computer then simulates cracking all 12 eggs, using a random number 0 or 1 to simulate raw or hard boiled. The number 0 should represent raw eggs and the number 1 should represent hard boiled. The computer must keep track of the number of hard-boiled eggs. At the conclusion of cracking all 12 eggs, the actual number of hard boiled is compared to the users guess, and whether the user won or lost is given as output.For this project, you will write code in Coral for the programming gameDetermine the variables and relevant data types of each variable. Consider the necessary variables required to implement the logic of your game, as well as the relevant data type (i.e., integer or float) of each variable.

Where necessary, assign an initial value to each variable.Set branches that use conditionals to define the logic of the game. This must meet the requirements of the program. You may use the following types of statements to accomplish this:IFIF-ELSEIF-ELSE-IFStatements must also use the appropriate relational operators, which are as follows:== (equals)!= (not equal)< (less than)> (greater than)<= (less than or equal)>= (greater than or equal)Create loops to define the logic, flow, and sequence of the game. Compare and contrast the article you selected with your colleagues article in terms of how they might inform appropriateness for use with the identified client. Explain how reviewing the different studies presented in this Discussion influenced your decision about whether you would use the therapy, given various evidence for the different treatment modalities.
Respond to two colleagues who selected a case study different from yours:

There are many ways of using standardized financial information beyond those discussed in this unit. The usual goal is to put firms on an equal footing for comparison purposes. For example, for auto manufacturers, it is common to express sales, costs, and profits on a per-car basis. For each of the following industries, give an example of an actual company, and discuss one or more potentially useful means of standardizing financial information: public utilities, large retailers, airlines, online services, hospitals, and college textbook publishers. Once you identify the company for each industry, select a particular firm, and calculate four ratios of your choice for 2 consecutive years. Once computed, then provide a 2-year trend analysis. Finally, discuss whether you would or would not invest in this company, including an explanation of why that involves the ratio analysis.

Gender Analysis #2, War in Ukraine.
Prepare a power point presentation to brief the commander of the European Command (EUCOM) and provide recommendations for potential gender issues on the ground in Ukraine. EUCOM is one of the eleven unified combatant commands of the U.S. military. Its headquarters is located in Stuttgart, Germany and its responsibilities cover 21,000,000 square miles and 51 countries and territories, including Europe, Russia, Greenland, and Israel. EUCOM is commanded by General Tom Jones (not his real name).
This presentation calls for you to conduct a gender analysis, that means asking and answering the right questions from a gender perspective. But, instead of writing an analysis, you are tasked to complete a power point presentation. You should prepare a minimum of 7 slides and no more than 10. Each slide should have no more than 5 bullets. A format has been provided in the module for this week. You MUST use this format, but you can design the slides as you choose. There are numerous readings included this week. Look at the material as resources in helping you prepare your assignment. It is not the intent that you deeply read all of them. Include ONLY 5 of these sources on the “Reference” slide.
SITUATION. EUCOM has been instrumental in organizing a coalition of nations to send weapons and security assistance to Ukraine as it defends itself against Russia’s attacks. This support includes some $350 million in aid from the U.S., as well as support from Germany and Sweden (Military.com, 2022,https://www.military.com/daily-news/2022/03/04/global-weapons-pipeline-ukraine-being-managed-us-european-command.html).
You serve as the EUCOMs Gender Advisor (GENAD). General Jones, a great champion of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, understands the importance of the integration of gender perspectives within military missions in achieving operational effectiveness. He has asked you to complete a gender analysis of the war in Ukraine, looking at both Russian and Ukraine potential gender issues. His secretary has saved a space on his calendar for a 20-minute briefing.
The objective of your presentation is to make recommendations to the commander to assist the Ukrainians with potential gender issues on the ground. The format for your power point presentation is below.

Slide #2. Introduction/Purpose;
Slide #3. Background;
Slide #4. Gender Issues-Ukraine;

Accurate documentation and record keeping are vital to the profession. Documenting that the research subject (client/patient) has read and understood both 1) informed consent to research participation (treatment), and 2) the legal ramifications of mandated instances in which treatment-related information must be released are ethically imperative. In the workplace, it is critical to apply due diligence by continually monitoring, reviewing, and investigating current practices performed, to confirm that they adhere to the APA code of ethics and standards of the profession.

The prevention and spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) helps with your understanding of externalities. Explain how externalities (think of COVID-19) contribute to healthcare costs, insurance costs, and quality of services, and detail what practices can mitigate the effect of externalities on healthcare expenditure.
