To prepare:
Review the Crime Data Resources located in the Learning Resources this week to view the types of crimes committed in certain areas.Note: If you are an international student, you may find data for your country at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime website located in the Learning Resources this week on which to focus for this Discussion.Would the crime be categorized as expressive or instrumental or a combination of the two? Explain your rationale. Alternatively, you may select a state/city/community within the United States from the Bureau of Justice Statistics and/or Federal Bureau of Investigation websites.
Review the Week 3 Case Studies document and consider the types of crimes and influencing factors associated with each of the cases presented.
Select one case study from the Week 3 Case Studies document on which to focus for this Discussion and attempt to think like an offender by considering the circumstances and experiences the person may have had that drove them to commit a crime.
BY DAY 3
Post a summary of the case you selected and your responses to the following questions:
Would the crime be categorized as expressive or instrumental or a combination of the two? Explain your rationale.
What influencing factors may have contributed to the subjects crime or criminal behavior and why?
How might the subject have rationalized their behavior?
Why might one person commit a crime while another person with a similar background does not? Explain your rationale.
Would you have behaved in a similar way? Why or why not?
Describe a hypothesis test study that would help your work or conclusions in some way. Describe what variable would be tested and what would be your guess of the value of that variable.
Describe a hypothesis test study that would help your work or conclusions in some way. Describe what variable would be tested and what would be your guess of the value of that variable. Then include how the result, if the null were rejected or not, might change your conclusions or actions in some way.
I decided to choose nutrition can improve energy level. The variable would be between proper nutrition intake with an improved energy level and there would be discussion on fi they were to accomplish more task throughout the day, feeling less groggy when waking up and feeling less brain fog throughout the day. My guess would be there would be an increase in energy level and productivity. if the null was rejected it could be due to was there consistent meal plan that was upheld through the experiment or as stated by Bo et. al, (2020) claim even the gut microbiome can conflict the results and how each person process’ food for energy. Academy Nutrition Information Services Team (2023), offer insight of what cues to utilize to know when to eat and what to eat to improve energy levels. In the research a complete meal plan based on the person’s weight and energy expenditure would be evaluated and should be maintained throughout study.

Describe what are the basic principles of phonics instruction?
Knowing the content and methodology of phonics, high-frequency words, and syllabic analysis is essential if teachers intend to be able to help all of their pupils, both struggling and achieving readers, succeed. The chapter emphasizes the importance of phonics (if needed), high-frequency (sight) words, and syllabic analysis as tools for decoding words, but emphasizes that these elements must be taught and applied in the context of real reading and must be adapted to fit the needs of older students and struggling readers. Monitoring progress and gearing instruction to students level of development are emphasized. A system for leveling books according to the decoding skills needed to read them is presented. Fluency is also discussed. To empower readers to create their own instruction, the chapter presents basic concepts essential for planning a word recognition program: major consonant and vowel correspondences, generalizations, single-syllable and multisyllabic patterns, and methods and materials for teaching phonics, high-frequency words, and syllabication. Techniques for fostering fluency are presented in detail
In this discussion, based on your reading of the chapter ,indicate your understanding of Phonics awareness by responding to the questions below. Reflect upon and discuss ALL Two of the following questions
1. What does it mean if a 5-year-old child writes pez tak me yet u (Please take me with you)? what instructional help would you give?
2. What are the basic principles of phonics instruction?
STEP 1: First, write a response with at least Five substantial sentences, integrating concepts you learned from the reading and other materials (include links with necessary). Show that you can think critically on the topic by integrating your own thoughts, analysis, or experiences.
Describe an instance in which you have seen in the media a discretionary decision made in criminal justice:
According to Maartje van der Woude, discretion refers to “the freedom, power, authority, decision or leeway of an official, organization or individual to decide, discern or determine to make a judgment, choice or decision, about alternative courses of action or inaction” (2016). For this first discussion, you will introduce yourself to your peers and describe an instance in which you have seen a discretionary decision made in the criminal justice field.
Include the following in your initial post:
Introduce yourself to your peers:
Who are you, and what do you do?
Why are you interested in criminal justice?
Describe an instance in which you have seen in the media a discretionary decision made in criminal justice:
This can be an instance that you read about in the news, saw on TV, or read online. Please focus on a public discretionary decision and refrain from sharing a personal example.
This can be an instance that occurred in any branch of the field: law enforcement, courts, or corrections.
Provide background information regarding the incident. Address all aspects of what occurred: who, what, when, where, why, and how.
In response to two of your peers, state whether you agree or disagree with the discretionary decision that was made. If you agree with the discretionary decision, explain why you support it. If you do not agree with the discretionary decision, explain what could have been done differently to produce a better outcome. Remember to always be respectful when replying to peers, even if you do not agree with their stance and/or rationale.

What is the nature of continuous, incremental change and how does it differ from episodic or discontinuous change? Which frameworks, models, and theories are applicable to your research
Each team will be assigned one article from the week for their Precis. Team Precis earn a PASSING grade when they include a short analytical summary of the assigned research article from their own voice and fail if they do not. 1. Title of reading: complete bibliographic citation 2. Summarized by: students names 3. Purpose of reading: discuss the objective of the article and describe how it contributes to org change literature. 4. Theoretical argument: summarize the theoretical assumptions of the research. 5. Hypotheses or Propositions: list all hypotheses claims present in the reading. 6. Methodology: briefly summarize the research methods (if any) used. 7. Data Operationalization: summarize the independent and dependent variables (if applicable), discuss how they were operationalized, and which were significant. Discuss the data and provide sources. 8. Results and conclusions: summarize empirical findings, theoretical contributions, and most importantly, how this article contributes to extant change literature. Answer these two questions: What is the nature of continuous, incremental change and how does it differ from episodic or discontinuous change? Which frameworks, models, and theories are applicable to your research?Address these questions:How would appreciative inquiry, action research, culture sensitivity, and decolonized approaches in crease human capacities in the change process?Which approaches will be adopted in your research?

The materials will be presented in many forms and by various means to help improve productivity and communication in the organization.
For a short training presentation during a regional meeting, you have been asked to create a 3- to 5-minute video presentation illustrating the differences between deductive and inductive argument.
Instructions
Use PowerPoint and a video recording program such as Screencast-O-Matic to create a training video that is 3-5 minutes in length and includes the following elements:
· Bullet points with brief text that outlines deductive reasoning.
· Bullet points with brief text that outlines inductive reasoning.
· Clip art or images to accompany your text. You may use characters, cartoons, drawing tools, or other technologies to be creative.
· Narration related to the bullet points to explain:
· The principles underlying both deductive and inductive reasoning.
· Clear examples of both deductive and inductive reasoning in a workplace setting.
· References to your sources at the end of the video.
Your PowerPoint
Slide 1) Title slide
Slides 2-3) Deductive reasoning. Youll want to provide an example or two. Talk about the value of deduction and why its useful.
Slides 4-5) Inductive reasoning. Again, provide an example or two. Discuss the value of induction and how it is used.
Slide 6) References. Yes, they count.

How is an environment designed to help consumers process the information they need to make decisions and carry out their transactions? How does the design reflect what researchers know about the ways consumers process information?
Consumer Behavior Experience Exercises Sensory Marketing (Ch. 3)Visit a retail or service environment and analyze the sensory experience provided to the consumer. (Chapter 3, especially section 3.1). Consider the experience in each of the 5 sensory categories (vision, hearing, touch, smell, taste), and consider sensory experiences marketers deliberately created as well as the incidental ones things the marketer probably didnt intend to do but that still impact the consumers sensory experience. How is the environment designed to help consumers process the information they need to make decisions and carry out their transactions? How does the design reflect what researchers know about the ways consumers process information? Based on what youve learned about sensation, perception and perceptual filters, what recommendations would you make to improve the sensory experience and effectiveness? What sensory experiences that are relevant to the purchase decision or transaction are missing? The key to a good score on this essay is your insightful recommendations try to come up with some truly useful ideas for improvements, things that would likely be feasible and cost-efficient, but could have a big impact on the experience. Health organizations continue to face challenges relative to costs and revenue. Changes in reimbursement structure is most often cited as one of the biggest challenges for providers.Explain how the new wellness center can potentially affect overall quality of care.
Scenario
Health organizations continue to face challenges relative to costs and revenue. Changes in reimbursement structure is most often cited as one of the biggest challenges for providers.Explain how the new wellness center can potentially affect overall quality of care. As a result, leaders are developing new approaches aimed at creating additional revenue streams.
Traditionally, hospitals have operated on profit margins that are often described as challenging. As a result of increased labor costs and a shift in payer mix, hospitals are being forced to do more with fewer resources. Consequently, hospitals are seeking new ways to improve their margins. Increasing patient volume is no longer effective in improving margins given the focus on value-driven care. As the CEO of XYZ hospital, you are asked to make a presentation to the board regarding ways to identify new streams of revenue.
Your hospital operates in a low-income community with a significantly large population of residents enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid coverage. Critical issues such as length of stay (LOS) requirements and other financial threats are creating an urgent need for your organization to consider new revenue sources. After conducting research into the development of alternate revenue streams implemented by hospitals, you propose a new state of the art wellness center. Your task is to gain support for the wellness center.
Instructions
Create a PowerPoint presentation in which you highlight the following:
Describe, in detail, the service offerings that you would include in your new wellness center.
Discuss any potential barriers to implementing the wellness center.
Explain how the new wellness center can potentially affect overall costs.
Explain how the new wellness center can potentially affect overall quality of care.
Describe the potential impact of the new wellness center on the underserved.
Discuss the potential implications of the proposed revenue stream on payers, patients, and providers.
Your presentation should include either speaker notes or voiceover narration.
Research the concept of developing wellness centers, using credible sources to create your presentation.
