Purpose of this Assignment

This assignment gives you the opportunity to apply your understanding of the course

concepts to analyze how the enterprise architecture (EA) affects various elements of the

organization. This assignment specifically addresses the following course outcome:

• conduct stakeholder analysis to identify concerns and appropriate viewpoints

Background

One of the keys to successful enterprise architecture (EA) implementation is the support

offered by important stakeholders.

Stakeholders are those with an interest in a given project. There are varying degrees of

stakeholder involvement, which may be described as being in the following groups:

• Key Players—These are the most important stakeholders; they have a vested

interest in the approach, content, and output of the EA.

• Keep Satisfied—The next most significant group are those who must obtain what

they need from the EA and are less concerned with the construction and specific

content of the EA.

• Keep Informed—This group has a need to know what is being done and how it will

benefit the organization overall; they have little interest in any of the details of how

the EA is developed and used.

• Minimal Effort—This group has little interest in the EA and requires little attention

during the EA development effort.

The benefits of successfully managing stakeholders include the following:

• Obtaining support from the most influential stakeholders will help ensure that they

both help to shape the EA and to improve its content and products.

• Influential stakeholders are in a position to allocate human and financial resources to

the EA effort, making it more likely to succeed.

• Ongoing communication with stakeholders ensures their understanding of the

process and benefits of EA, and enables their support if needed.

• Successful management allows the EA team to draw on the support of stakeholders

with a positive view of the process if they need to address negative reactions or

setbacks in the organization.

3. Describe how you would like to involve the department heads with this process.

· Declare your thesis. It must make a claim, something a reasonable person could disagree with.

· It must relate to your theme, and it must be specific. Something that you can use evidence to defend, and someone else could argue against.

H. Dicuss the Medium of each work

· Describe the artistic medium, such as the type of literature, music, or sculpture, through which each work was created.

· Discuss how the medium of each work communicates some aspect of its meaning.

I. State your Thesis

· Artifact A and Artifact B should both express theme X

· The theme Xshould be presented in a different ways in Artifact A and Artifact B

· Specify and describe something important about theme X by examing Artifact A and Artifact B

· Clearly define your audience

QEP Energy, 777 F.3d 1191 (10th Cir. 2015) located in your textbook on pp. 451–454.Write a case study review of Judge Kelly’s opinion that answers the questions below. Support your review with analysis and evidence from the unit reading and outside sources.

• What are the legal issues presented in this case? Did the plaintiff establish a valid prima facie case of pay discrimination? Was there a basis for equal work? On what factors did the appeals court base its decision?

Discussion Topic: The Right-To-Die Movement

 Healthy dying” has become a more prominent issue in the U.S., especially when the New York Times published an article about a woman named Jo Roman, a 62-year-old artist with terminal cancer who took her own life with an overdose of medication after gathering close friends around her for a celebration prior to her farewell passage, (Zanden, Crandell, & Crandell, 2007, p. 650). Then, Dr. Jack Kevorkian began to help people with terminal illnesses end their lives. And most recently the disputes in the Terri Schindler-Schiavo case became headline news in 2005.”As the technology to keep people alive continues to improve, the ethical issues about active euthanasia in general and physician-assisted suicide, in particular, will continue to become more complex and will likely focus increasingly on the quality of life ” (Kail & Cavanaugh, 2016, p. 558).To prepare for this discussion, read pages 555-559 in your text.“Taking one’s own life through ritual suicide has never been popular in the United States because of religious and other prohibitions. In other cultures, such as Japan, suicide is viewed as an honorable way to die under certain circumstances. Asian Americans have the highest suicide rate in the US, and their suicide notes are likely to reveal that they considered themselves a burden on their families,” (Pascual, 2010 in Kail & Cavanaugh, 2016, p. 557).In 1984, the Dutch Supreme Court eliminated prosecution of physicians who assist in suicide if five criteria are met:

1. The patient’s condition is intolerable with no hope for improvement.
2. No relief is available.
3. The patient is competent.
4. The patient makes a request repeatedly over time.
5. Two physicians have reviewed the case and agree with the patient’s request.

• In Australia, the Northern Territory became the first state in the world to legalize voluntary active euthanasia under the Rights of the Terminally Ill Act of 1995. However, in 1997 their Federal Parliament overturned this legislation.
• In the Netherlands, euthanasia has been legalized by the Dutch Parliament since 2001.
• In 2002, Belgium also legalized physician-assisted suicide.
• In the U.S., Oregon residents passed the Death with Dignity Act legalizing physician-assisted suicide in 1994.

Social Capital is the benefits or value-add arising from connections and relationships between people in and outside of an organization. Cultural challenges are a known issue across global organizations. A prominent solution receiving increased attention is the construct of a global mindset, which has growing rhetoric but little research support (Joana S. P.Story, 2014).

Global talent management is essential when selecting the best-qualified candidate for an international position. A global position would require a potential candidate to be willing to learn and respect different cultures.
